  1. Wrong thread for this discussion, but we don’t have any young wingers good enough. Topi is young and inconsistent, Morris isn’t good enough, vinnie average. From what I think I heard, it’s 1M for okkels and I’d like to think we can get better for less. Unless he’s an absolute stud until the end of the season we’d be crazy to buy him.
  2. Would left leaning be more appropriate? Can you clarify if I can use the terms huns and victims, or am I factually wrong there too when I reference those here? Your patronizing attitude is all too common in the US too and what has scared many people to go to trump and the republicans. Its the scolding, canceling, and though police that people have had enough of, getting slammed for simply sharing a thought or daring to speak up and share an honest opinion. It’s also why I dont really talk politics any more. I don’t need someone to try to educate me or talked down to me, I just answered a question. I also don’t think anyone here gives two shits about the fifties and sixties, you’re off the mark there. I think a lot of people just want a stronger economy, better housing prices, improved immigration and the border, affordable cars, being able to buy a normal shopping, less war, less wasteful spending, less government bureaucracy, less fentanyl, less crime and inner city, particularly sanctuary city, chaos, and less trans and DEI nonsense. We simply want a government the appears to understand and connect with the majority of people and their issues, and focus on what matters to average Americans. When you talk as you do most people here would just shut you out because it doesn’t come across as a friendly discussion, more a condescending lecture that we don’t really relate to or feel particularly relevant, and we’re sick of that. im not disagreeing or debating your political position, its your attitude and approach. All too common and what has possibly caused an over reaction in a different direction. And the left aren’t changing, and are simply making their situation worse.
  3. Been here since 95. Considered myself a democrat until seeing first hand the country change under Obama. Gone from being an arrogant mother fucker to the biggest woke pussy and trump is taking the country back. The minority have been focusing on all the wrong things for 4 years. In my opinion. Lived in LA for 17 years and witnessed first hand the results of a left/far left government, saw the decline in society, homelessness, drugs, crime, high costs, woke agenda etc. Said here back in 2020 that I wasn’t a trump fan but I really feared where a democratic government would take us. What an awful 4 years domestically and abroad and while I still don’t particularly like trump and how he conducts himself, I agree with the majority of what he’s doing. It’s got very expensive here, the country way overspends, economy is shit, housing market is shit, influx of illegals and the challenge to local economy and resources, and we’re going bankrupt fast. There’s also world conflict and we didn’t really have that before under trump. His methods may not be ideal or pleasing on the eye but I think he’ll be more effective than the previous administration. Extreme change was wanted by the majority of the country, the minority are crying about it, but when your media is democratically owned it’s the crying and the pushback you hear on tv. Like that musk is an independent auditor providing insight, exposing and reporting corruption/fraud, amazing the money and misspending he’s finding. Many politicians left and right are freaking out because of years of mismanagement and the lining of their own pockets. Interesting when you see the ‘reported’ net worth of a number of politicians when it’s publicly known what they earn, doesn’t add up. im sure it’s a media reality show drama/comedy but its the change the country needed. It was never going to be pretty. I am also 100% behind an America first agenda. If you can’t afford to live and care for your own you shouldn’t continue to throw all your money away. Billions have been given to Ukraine for example, and from what I understand, much of it they cannot trace. And for what? don’t particularly like expressing my opinions here as I know I am in the vast minority but I can only express my opinion based on how my life has been affected and the environment I live in.
  4. No thanks, morris has had plenty of opportunity. The fact that he consistently produces as a second half sub, I would not change that. We lose that boost when he starts, and his mediocre at best starts don’t make up for him gone in the second half. I would start shinnie, at left back. Possibly a game to give Dabbagh a start instead of gueye, and maybe clarkson ahead of palaversa.
  5. It’s not just some league performances. It wrecked our entire season last time and we’re in the middle of a squad overhaul. Like I said, it’s ’part Of me,’ don’t know which is better but having the time to work on things and implement players rather than playing 3 games a week for the first 3-4 months isn’t bad, tough call.
  6. Morris cannot start, he’s been awful every time he does. He’s only effective when he’s fresh and opponents are tiring. He’s a bench player at best for us. Okkels and gueye proving they don’t have the stones for Scottish football. Don’t think either think fast enough and the intensity of them doesn’t suit. Not saying topi is strong, but you see the intensity from him and he suits Scottish football. we’re crying out for an attacking central midfielder. They suck players in which give our wide guys time and space to get out and up. A forward dropping isn’t the same thing. Thought gueye could be that guy but he’s not. agree re shinnie, we appear to be a better team with him in our 11.
  7. 5 subs made after an hour. Says it all.
  8. Part of me doesn’t care if we don’t make Europe. A couple of seasons to completely gut the squad and start again. Obviously we have financially invested in the squad and need the European return, but Europe will really challenge a squad. im ok giving gueye and okkels time to show they most likely aren’t good enough, much like Morris has been given time to show he can’t start, helps us gut the squad and there’s currently no better player to start for them. the run early season gave us hope/expectation, but we’re a team in the middle of a squad overhaul, far from complete. I’m disappointed in clarkson, though he’d be our main man at 10 and he hasn’t kicked on.
  9. Ffs, 2 down, although 3 goals all from crosses. we are so fucking bad defending crosses. Brutal. Up top zero shots on goal. Not the way to win games.
  10. Would be nice to get a chance and a shot. Painful in attack.
  11. Id be tempted to bring dabbagh on asap, gueye doing little and nisbet looks up for it. Nisbet also drops, play dabbagh up on the last man.
  12. Very little so far from topi gueye and okkels, hard to attack if these three don’t bring much.
  13. As much a hope as any but 9 more league games to play, can’t see hibs sustaining it for the remainder of the season. Their next two are Celtic away in the cup then killie away, two good games to derail their season.
  14. It’s our best 11, with the exception of devlin/jensen which may be debatable. We also don’t know enough about dabbagh yet and nisbet has found a little form. Glad we stuck with gueye at 10 and okkels wide. The endless chopping and changing of recent weeks/months didn’t help us. I also want okkels given an extended run to get match sharp after months not playing, really want to be sure of investing 1M or sending him home. COYR!
  15. But do they pull a killie or kick on? Great to see the temporary management bringing stability!
  16. Na, said already, go nisbet and dabbagh and be more direct, which we would do anyway. They don’t know dabbagh so gives them something to think about. 3-0 us, dabbaghx3
  17. You stole my post. He’s had good games but not consistent enough. He’s a true 10 but we stuck him left mid and that’s not his position moving forward. We have gueye Clarkson polvara and McGrath all pretty much competing for a similar position and none are an obvious starter. I also question his mental toughness, the penalty miss seemed to damage him. Losing McGrath is no biggie and the 10 is the position I was hoping we upgrade in the summer anyway. seems a decent lad, good luck to him.
  18. I don’t hate mcinnes at all. He’d love that job but I just don’t think their fans would want him. And I ultimately don’t think he can take them further. He’s a typical Scottish manager. While I say he’d love it, I don’t know if he has the stones to take it, very hard job given the finances and expectation of competing with Celtic.
  19. For once I’d like mcinnes to get the job. He was a good manager for us but predictable and limited. He’d also be a underwhelming signing for their fans and I don’t think they’d fully support him. Would love to see him at the Huns, I just don’t think he’s capable of the next level. Would give us a good run for 2nd……and I say that after reading Celtic got 26 million from champions league. We just can’t compete with that.
  20. Free hit here, with utd hearts hibs and st mirren playing each other, lose to Celtic and its not a disaster. Hoping utd draw or lose. im assuming devlin will be out but shinnie at left back isn’t a disaster if Mackenzie misses too. Eager to see how our defense does here, plus id be inclined to start both nisbet and dabbagh, benching gueye. Be a bit more direct and let’s see what our new star striker can do. heart over head as always, 1-1. Bojan.
  21. Agent Clement finally coming good!
  22. Closing the gap on 2nd. COYR!
  23. Thought Jensen had a good game, didn’t get beaten much 1v1, is being more physical, and consistent/reliable. Didn’t see many errors.
  24. Dare I say we look like early season dons?
