  1. Pretty much. I'm looking forward to reading an article from McGhee calling Boro fans morons for complaining about Strachan. Deflect, deflect, deflect...
  2. Juve v Fulham has been a cracker sofar, it's 3-1 Juve at halftime.
  3. Or maybe it'll be the wake-up call MMcG has needed? Chris Maguire is a striker. I've played him out wide, and he's scored fuck all. He's gone to Killie, played up front, and has been scoring for fun. WHY ISN'T CHRIS MAGUIRE SCORING FOR ABERDEEN?!
  4. Caught the latest BT advert earlier today. Turns out the good news he was telling his Dad was that they're getting married! But the daughter dropped a bomb today, she's told her Dad that her Mum is getting re-married, and I get the feeling it's meant to be a secret!
  5. There must be some reason that overnight Kerr has gone from being one of our best to one of our worst players. I'd rather we started by fixing that problem first as I don't see the point in replacing him with somebody else if the same thing is just going to happen to them too. I don't really care either way if Kerr stayes or goes.
  6. You must be new to the whole Aberdeen FC scene.
  7. Fuck sakes, I was gonna drop in by on the way home from Manchester. Looks like i'm gonna have to go to the Birmingham v Liverpool game instead now :
  8. 2 Pac - 2 of Americaz Most Wanted
  9. Anyone going to venture down/through to this? Nope. Which Aberdeen team will turn up? The under 19s please Mark. And will we get some points on the board? Hope so anyway.
  10. Utter nonsense story.
  11. I very much agree with this. Everything McGhee ever says in the press should be positive. Even when we lose, he should be finding any positive and shouting about that in the press. If he is somehow 'scared' to be honest to the players in private, hes not fit to manage the team, thats one of the most important parts of his job to be honest.
  12. Or Chris Maguire? Oh wait
  13. Perhaps I chose him just to get a reaction out of you, or maybe because Smith & Scott left when I was 4 years old? I had a choice between Aitken, Miller, Heggarty, Skovdahl, Paterson, Calderwood & McGhee. From that list there is absolutely no other option than Calderwood.
  14. Precisely. We're trying to get this investment 20 years too late. The noly way I can see us getting any major form of investment from Oil is if some tiny far Eastern country discovers it's sitting on a trillion barrels of the black stuff and want to lure away our skilled workforce, none of the bigger companies need to spend a penny on anything in the Aberdeen area.
  15. Calderwood, without a shadow of doubt.
  16. In answer to my own question, i'm almost positive that the "ConocoPhillips Arena" exists somewhere
  17. But do any of the big oil companies make big investments in any football team? (Genuine question that, i've no idea) I'd rather we had lots of local Oil Service companies investing in the Dons than some big faceless multi-national. Was it not some oil rich far-eastern types that have fucked over Portsmouth. Not giving out the old fishing village mentality here, i'd just rather our investers were the kind to let their hearts run their heads with regards to the Dons (Much like the boy Thomson at Dundee Utd)
  18. Agreed. I'd also like to add in: - Stop talking to the EE - Smash down the boardroom door and demand investment, and if that doesn't work, have an Aston Martin Sale in the club car park, that gotta raise at least a few £10,000's for some new players.
  19. 2/3 years ago we were sponsored by Apex Tubulars & Acergy. Both Oil Companies investing in the Dons. It was our most successful season in the last 15 too. I don't think these facts are particularly related though.
  20. "The next level" in my eyes, was to be beating the teams in the lower half of the table every single time (you know like the old firm manage to) and being in amongst the top 2 right down until the end of the season, maybe getting a cup final or 2, and being in Europe every season. This free-flowing attacking football i've read about would be a magnificent bonus, but to be perfectly honest, if we were playing rugby style instead and managing the above i'd be perfectly content.
  21. I wouldn't, I'd quit before I got sacked.
  22. Has absolutely nothing to answer for.
  23. Both very good points. Was discussing this earlier and came to the conclusion that the problems within our club are: We have a manager who can't manage. We have a captain who just can't captain. We have a board who don't want to invest. We have players who can't/won't play football. We have supporters that don't want to support the team anymore. Hardly an ideal mix. I have absolutely no idea what the solution is though.
  24. Was reading that they've sold over £100million worth of players in the last 18 months, how can they still have £60million worth of debt on top of that?! Anyway- Fuck them! Anybody we could sign on the cheap?
