And where is the 2014 Commonwealth Games being held? Scotland's not gonna get to host it again for the next 50 years or so (if ever). As for the Euro's, after Ukraine/Poland it's getting expanded to 24 teams, so we'll need 12 stadiums (no more than 2 in one city though!) each with at least a capacity of 30,000 - where the hell are we going to build them all? And what are they ever going to be used for after the championships? UEFA also said that they want the championships to be hosted by a single country and no more joint bids so there's no chance of a joint Scottish/Irish/Welsh/anyone bid. Hope this clears up the matter for you.

Agreed, but the point I was making was that the chances of Aberdeen hosting the Commonwealth Games, or Scotland hosting the European Championships are absolute zero.
