  1. Actually, we haven't got anyone in to freshen it up yet On a side note - are you considering a new username?
  2. Couldn't disagree more, we have a solid base to build on, I'd rather it took 10 years for us to make a team that wins a few leagues and cups than one who wins the League Cup next year then are shit for the next 3 years I don't think so, I think there's a certain element of "Fuck the JMG mob, let's go for Black instead of the golden boy McGhee" I could be wrong though.
  3. I would be delighted if we drew Derry City
  4. You do realise this is basically what we do?! We used to licence our replica strips out to companies (Umbro, Puma, Le coq Sportif?) Which meant we got something like £5 everytime one was sold and you could buy them in any sports shop basically anywhere in Scotland (and sometimes even further). But now we buy the Nike training tops from JustSport for about £5, stick a badge and a sponsor on it and only we sell them now for £40, keeping all the profit for ourselves. Cutting out the middleman I'm pretty sure JustSport print the shirts for us too? It's very common in Football these days usless you're a massive club, hence why when you go into JJB in Aberdeen you only get a selection of Premiership, OF, then Champions League teams. The same as JJB anywhere in the whole country. But obviously AFC have done it all wrong by doing it this way, if only our board of self-made multi millionaires had the same business sense as minJ
  5. Nothing here, move on, the text I just got was a lie.
  6. So you say we should all agree with Andrew
  7. Magilton, I'd support that appointment.
  8. Assuming that's what you meant? Then, you're wrong, they are supplied by Nike. Just Sport buy millions and millions of shirts from Nike, and then they distribute thousands and thousands to football clubs like....Aberdeen! And I also understand that it isn't a bespoke kit. But this way the club makes more money from shirt sales, which is a good thing, it's not like you'll be wearing the shirt out to that trendy nightspot 'Priory', it'll get worn in the Pub at weekends and maybe the odd game of 5's, doesn't need to be fantastic quality. Would you rather look like all the scum you see wearing Celtic or Man Utd shirts everyday of the week? No, that looks 'rank and cheap' And the more I think about it, a shirt that lasts a year then falls to bits is ideal for the club, that way you'll need to buy a new one every year, which means even MORE money for the club
  9. Well, they've not stuck a Nike badge on a Dons shirt, they've stuck a Dons badge on a Nike shirt, and Nike's stuff is in general good quality, so it follows that the new Dons shirt should be a pretty high quality too. 'Rank and Cheap' thats your opinion. It's wrong, but you're entitled to it. Nobody seems to think of this shirt as either 'Rank' or 'Cheap' But vertical stripes instead of horizontal ones? How offensive...
  10. You complained "top available for just over £12 without the badges". Would you rather our kit was a shit one made by Errea, Jako or Prostar? The club found a way to make more money and have our kit made by one of the most popular brands in the world. Yet you still choose to complain.
  11. Aye, what a total cunt of a team we follow, making money off replica kits? What's next? Charging to see the games
  12. http://www.afc.premiumtv.co.uk/javaImages/b8/39/0,,10284~5978552,00.jpg[/img] I like it too.
  13. Well said tom
  14. I'm looking forward to reading from JCs article that we've now missed out on the "Next, next Jaap Stam"
  15. Was discussing this at the Hibs game. Our/Hearts/United record against the OF is brilliant(ish) it certainly is good enough for us to challenge them, but all 3 of us just don't have the strength or depth to go the whole season. All of us have lost to Hamilton this season? Results like that are what's stopping one of us splitting the OF. Either we need to get a bit of luck, or a bigger squad, but for that we need more money on the other hand, if we manage to hold onto a team for more than 2 seasons while they continue to fall away we might just be in with a chance. Edit: Forgot to mention, the drop in standard in Scottish Football across the board is massive! Canyou really compare Larsson to Scott McDonald? or that Cunt Lafferty to Gazza?? Nah! Coupled together with near non-stop coverage of much better leagues like La Liga and the (shudder) EPL makes our league look even worse
  16. "Officially" but we all know he was sacked
  17. I thought it was Aluko and Miller threatening to leave, first i've heard of Langfield leaving? Or not as the case may be.
  18. I'm yet to meet somebody do describe JC as 'god' and i've even met his wife
  19. I think the majority don't want him but are resigned to getting him.
  20. We are Scientists - Worth the Wait
  21. She'd be certainly be more entertaining to watch then Dundee Utd.
  22. What do you expect? Sone growing up in London dreaming of one day pulling on the Dons shirt? We have players like that (Mackie, Duff) and look how they're treated? How would you feel if you get poached from your job to a new one, and then the manager who gave you the job gets sacked cause a few idiots complained? Wouldn't you want to leave?
  23. Having spent the last 3 minutes reading up on his entire career I think he'd be a rather 'safe' but not very inspiring choice. It's a no from me.
  24. Creedence Clearwater Revival - Jeremiah Was a Bullfrog
