  2. Aye, I remember everybody complaining having to get the train to the Allianz But, my understanding of what they want to build is: 1.) A New Community stadium (for us) 2.) A smaller stadium in the same area (for Cove) 3.) A 3rd ground for the FP's to play at 4.) An olympic swimming pool 5.) A center of excellence for golf 6.) An industrial estate I doubt all of it will be built, but with even some of that, and no major link? Not even the mixture of Aberdeen City Council & whoever else is in charge can be that incompetent?! For the record: I'd rather it was where it is right now, i'd give them the extra £4million to pay for it (if i had it!)
  3. +1 Well said! This is the most important point in my eyes. On the whole, JC has done an excellent job for me, at times he's been fantastic, and other times he's been an absolute nightmare. I really hope, that the reaction from our latest terrible result will push the team on to really end the season on a high, grabbing 3rd place, and with any luck FINALLY grabbing a win at Ibrox? I really don't mind if he leaves, I think his time has come to go, but I will mind if at the start of next season we have somebody with either no credentials or has repeatedly performerned worse than JC in the SPL (see McGee, Black, Jefferies, Ferguson Jr.) If we have somebody we all believe can push us onto the next level then, everything is good As for the Holland pre-season tour thing? We never did these trips before he was in charge (maybe we did, I can't remember) but they've been a success for everyone involved, so SURELY we would carry this on with our new gaffer? I have no idea who I would like in charge though?
  4. I've just realised i've not changed the time on any clocks in my room and now i'm an hour late! Aarrrggghhh!!!
  5. Reading and Leeds looks well wank this year. Arctic Monkeys, KOL & Radiohead? Nah, pass.
  6. But then Hibs would have had something to play for, and we'd have been unlikely to take 4th, however it's all just swings and roundabouts...
  7. I seen Paterson earlier in the week, looked drunk!
  8. Well perhaps he's the man to take the Pittodrie hot seat then?
  9. Speaking of ones who got away, Robert Fleck (was that his name?) who refused to sign cause we offered crap wages, his flatmate was my Taxi driver in Holland
  10. The women beside me in the Amsterdam ArenA tried a 'Hello Hello' at half-time! I left in disgust at that point
  11. Cunt? How come he gets a ticket? He's not in the travel club is he?
  12. I read the whole thing, but only cause I was bored at work. It bored me more.
  13. I found myself agreeing with much of what he said?! Think i'll go for a shower.
  14. *cough* SEVERIN *cough*
  15. Would that be the same sould searching that managed to get us up to 4th place by the end of the season then? Let's take a positive from such a terrible result and make 3rd all ours...
  16. SFA + Incompetence? Yeah, now you mention it, does sound about right.
  17. It's not. I don't see why it keeps getting dragged up.
  18. I'm at least 99% sure they changed it after last year as QoTS were going to be the last team to get in europe through the 'back door'
  19. No, we'd have to win the final too, more than likely against Rangers, and we all know what our record against them in Glasgow looks like.
  20. But who's to say that in 5 years we aren't SPL Champions and in the last 8 of the Champions League, looking back wondering why we stuck with the fatman so long after the QoTS result? He only brough us respectability and not silverware, and so on..... You can't just assume the second (if) Calderwood leaves we'll be pish again? To quote the great man himself: "Living in the Future? None of this has happened yet" As did not I! I couldn't understand why anybody did it to be honest? I had a go at my mates for doing it and they were all "Nit - They deserve it" - damn fools. Again, on the flip side of the coin, inexperienced managers we bround in who did well include: Willie Miller Ally McLeod and some boy Ferguson?!
  21. I'm not so sure if we should get rid of him (yet!). I was right up for a big 'Jimmy GTF' mini-protest after the game, but now i've had some time to think about it.....nah Obviously last night, tactics were just wrong, there's no getting away from that, but over the years he's masterminded some great results against bigger teams, so overall, i'm ok with that side of things. The other massive problem we seem to have is motivation! Especially against the smaller clubs. But surely if the Manager & his staff can't motivate the players we could get some sort of professional in to do it? I can't say I know too much about what they actually do, but I remember watching a documentary on Cricket (I think) and they got in some Sports Psychologist who used to talk to each of the players before and after each game and throughout training which gave the players the belief that they needed to push on and do well. It's just an idea? I've no idea how much it'd cost to get this guy in to do all this, but surely if it helps us get a few more points on the board it'd be worth it? And even if it's not, he can't be any bigger a drain on the wage budget than Jamie Smith. Also, the even bigger problem with getting rid of JC is the replacement? I don't think any sort of foreign manager will do any good in the SPL, so he would have to be some sort of Scottish lad, but then WHEN we get back in Europe, we'll also need somebody with some sort of European pedigree. So ideally we'd like somebody with a proven record in Scotland, and preferably some coaching experience in mainland europe (say.....Holland?)
  22. On the subject of Langfield, has anybody EVER seen him save a pen? I can't think of any occasion.
