I'd assume the plane was due to fly back to Brum after it'd been to Aberdeen, so just went back so it could then go complete it's next sector. Doesn't really matter anymore though, we've no game this week, so if we sign him next week instead we save a whole weeks wages!

Whereas Langfield is clearly no world beater, he is more than adequate for the SPL. There are other areas of our team that need attention before we go find a better keeper (which i'm sure we could). Langfield performed better when Leighton was here than when Meldrum was here, so i'm glad he's back.

Not to worry though, it wasn't the reason we were in London, just thought it'd make a nice addition to our trip. There were plenty touts outside the ground, but I didn't fancy paying £60-£100 to go see a game where I didn't really care about the result.

Teddy Scott got a testimonial for 25 years at the club did he not? Simmie has been at the club 21 years now, so give him 4 years and then we can have a big game for him too. Somebody like Birmingham (or whoever McLeish/Strachan is managing then) up at Pittodrie (or Loriston) in our last pre-season game before the 2014-15 season works for me. I'm sure the club could arrange something in 4 years.
