Are your mates initials SF? Out of curiosity. And it's different strokes for different folks rocket, I was genuinely impressed, voice & technical ability. Always looking to broaden my Musical Horizon, but I really struggle, and I mean really struggle, to enjoy anything modern and in the charts, always the lesser known Musicians I find myself enjoying, the likes of White Buffalo, The Fumes and now Bonamassa, if you can recommend anything ( Blues/Folk/Acoustic ) I'd be sure to give it a listen.

Was recommended this guy on Twitter, and I am thoroughly impressed

Much needed 3 points, thought we were poor, or just maybe not very good up until their Red Card. But we've struggled previously against 10 men, so was good to see us take some initiative and be positive. Thought everyone was relatively poor until we equalized, plenty of errors for their goal starting with Logan's loose touch, Considine keeping Doidge onside, the lack of pressure on Allan, who had plenty of time and space to pick his pass and then Lewis' lazy effort at making it harder for Doidge. But after Whittaker's sending off ( which by the way, having seen the 2nd tackle several times now, it actually looks like he won the ball but it could just be the angle I am looking at it, but fuck him, Shrek lookalike prick ) we certainly looked better, people were looking for the ball more, the middle 3 were excellent ( McGeouch, Ojo & Ferguson ) and Kennedy showed yet more flashes, didn't personally feel that McGinn had a good game, but he was getting MOTM etc... from plenty others, not for me, was easily McGeouch, then Ojo, then Ferguson. Pretty big game next week, I have serious doubts about our Manager, and have serious doubts we'll finish 3rd. 2 consecutive 4th place finishes, behind Killie and Motherwell respectively, isn't really acceptable ( In my opinion ) but we shall see, he's still absolutely safe in his job, a win next week might just lift everybody, finally getting beyond they Tim bastards wouldn't go a miss either!

St Mirren Away - Scottish Cup QF.
KennyFuckinPowers replied to Jute's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
Was definitely a shite game, but conditions played a part in that. Thought we started very well, something we haven't done in a long time, but scoring early meant game management early, and that suited St Mirren, who forced one save from Lewis, so whilst it suited them, they failed to create anything meaningful at all really. Fantastic finish from Ferguson, Kennedy, in flashes was excellent, he seems to be coming out of his shell now and hopefully he can keep that up, defensively we were absolutely fine also. Another Semi, which isn't an achievement in itself, but at least we're there and giving ourselves a chance. -
He blocked the Free Kick, the very same thing happened to us on Wednesday night, but the Ref just spoke to the Killie Player, a bit of common sense, it's a very harsh 2nd Yellow, in my opinion. But he will learn from it, you'd hope. Regarding Cosgrove, something is without doubt a miss, the boy has gone from being confident, having shots, winning headers, decent hold up play, scoring goals etc... to Bambi on Ice! He hasn't become a bad Player overnight and definitely hasn't become a bad Player on purpose. Whilst Campbell's Sending Off was a factor, the goals we lost were atrocious, a free header ( Which Lewis should have done a lot better with ) and a completely un tracked run for the 2nd, someone was sleeping, McKenna I think. We were 1-0 up, a bit more shape and a bit more patience and we'd have got to HT still 1-0 up. Could have regrouped at HT and just played on the Counter. Don't think anybody really stood out, but Taylor is certainly our best defender, on current form.

Oh dear, of dear. The life of a Football fan, eh. Back to 4th, Motherwell have a game in hand, thankfully they're on a poor run as well. 4 Home defeats in a row I am led to believe?

I single him out most weeks, good and bad, and the fact is that it's Bad, the majority of the time, yet he seems to be first choice CM, CDM or CAM, he's played in all of these positions and offers the same, needless fouls, lazy tackles, poor passing and the odd positive moment, as you correctly point out, his determination that led to the Penalty was very good. When Campbell came on, his immediate thought was to lift his head, pass the ball, either forward or out wide and I am absolutely certain that he made more successful passes than Ferguson did, in 45 minutes less game time. Yes, his tackle, or attempt at a tackle, was poor, but Devlin should have dealt with that, without absolving Campbell of any blame. I suppose what I am trying to say is that I would comfortably select Campbell, Ojo or McGeouch ahead of Ferguson every single time. Yes, think the boy is an imposter, that lives off a headed winner vs Rangers. Said numerous times I believe he has potential, but he's nowhere near good enough to be our main Midfielder but lo and behold, McGeouch has been in the door 5 minutes and he's already written off, Bryson has been extremely unlucky with injuries but has already been written off, despite clearly being a good Player that has played consistently well at a very good level, their experience and ability, after a consistent run of games, would improve us considerably, as long as Ojo is tidying up behind them.

Well, that was £15 well spent, in the end! That 1st Half was a complete write off, an unacceptable performance and you would question why McInnes would change things, considering how well we played on Sunday, it was without doubt the wrong 11 and the wrong formation. Thankfully he realized that, but I am not giving McGeouch, McLennan or Bryson any stick, they are simply following instructions, they all tried to get involved but we were far too safe with the ball and barely penetrated them. As bad as we were, Killie weren't much better, they certainly had more intent, but thankfully Ash Taylor won just about everything that came into our box in that First Half, he was solid and the only Player to get pass marks. Kennedy tried, but he got better as the game went on, more on him later. I will say it again and will continue saying it, Lewis Ferguson is an imposter. Passing out of play, passing to Killie Players, very slow with the ball at his feet, needless fouls yet again ( Brophy scored a free kick from Fergsuon's idiotic, lazt foul ) the boy brings nothing to this team. Granted he won the Penalty, but that was from sheer inexperience and recklessness from Findlay. Anyway, much better team 2nd Half, Kennedy was unplayable, just his delivery letting him down at the moment, but if this is him settled now, then he can make a difference, Logan & Campbell also played really well, we were sharper, we were getting forward quicker and we were playing better football. Cosgrove hitting the bar was extremely unlucky, good powerful header, I thought Branescu got fingertips to it, I was sat right behind it, but Goal Kick was given. In the end it was a brilliant night, well worth the admission fee, Matty Kennedy was blowing out his arse, he was fucked, but he tracked back and broke forward every time and deserves an enormous amount of credit. Ash Taylor in the first half especially, also deserves credit.

The type of performance I believe we should be putting in against each and every team we face. Pressed them everywhere for large periods, tried to play Football on the ground, snapped into tackles and rattled them. Some basic practices but rather effective. I thought we made a team, who has been on a great run since the turn of the year, look bang average. Forster didn't have too much to do, but neither did Lewis until the latter stages when we were committing more numbers forward. Ajer's goal though, takes a lot of shine of it though, the man simply marauded from his own Box, with nobody tracking his run and even when he breezed beyond a very struggling Considine, there was no communication from him and the others were ball watching, leaving him completely unmarked, a very, very, very poor goal. Their 1st was a bit shambolic as well to be fair. We did well to get back into the game, we probably should have won it, it was a much better showing and if we applied that every game we played, we would win a fair chunk of games comfortably, in my opinion.

Managed 3 goals from open play & 3 separate goalscorers! Can't really fault anyone, everyone played well, special mentions to Main & Devlin, Main was rightly MOTM for his 1st Half performance alone, but he continued to work hard and was unlucky not to score with that header in the 2nd Half. Thought Devlin was extremely comfortable the entire game and actually put in a couple of very good crosses in the 2nd Half! Could add Considine and Ojo to this list as well, they also played very well. It's amazing what a change can do, Hamilton wouldn't have expected that Formation, they seemed to struggle big time with it, until they changed themselves in the 2nd Half, but game was done by then. I won't be getting carried away, I am pleased we looked more like ourselves, I still absolutely maintain that Cosgrove should be our main Striker, I didn't think Main had that type of performance in him, but he showed tonight that he is an able backup and having young Anderson here helps the numbers. Will be interesting to see what happens on Sunday, I would hope for a similar system and 11, but we will revert to type I would assume, Cosgrove back in for Main, back 4 etc.... But at least we should have a spring in our step.
-
I agree with this, I don't think he's played particularly well at all in his short time here. I don't even think he's actually beat a Full Back and put a cross in, everything is done in front of the Full Back. He's been very uninspiring for me, having said that, he's came in at a bad time, confidence is low and he might feel too much pressure on him already, of course I won't be writing him off just yet, hope he comes good. What I disagree with though, is the part about dropping McGeouch for Ojo, it should be Ferguson that gets replaced, keeping McGeouch & Ojo as the Central Pairing and dropping Ferguson completely out of the team. Play Anderson off of Cosgrove or Main, or even Kennedy Centrally and playing any one of McGinn/McLennan/Hedges as our two wide players. I genuinely believe that this is the beginning of the end of Derek McInnes. Barring a disaster, I reckon he'll walk at the end of the Season, we will thank him for his efforts and hope and pray that Cormack is as ambitious as he says he is & carefully selects a new Management Team that will use our resources far better and get what is capable out of the current Players we have, because we have good Players at the Club, they're just being coached wrongly at this moment in time.

Today is the day the goals come back. Aberdeen 4 vs 1 Kilmarnock After a shaky start, someone will score a peach and the confidence will come back, we will pin Killie back and concede a late consolation. We will close them down all over the pitch, they won't get a second on the ball to lift their head, we will stay high up the Pitch, we will get crosses in and play neat and tidy Football. Of course I am taking the piss, it'll be as you were, but only this time, we'll score the solitary goal, 1 - 0 to the Dandies, a Penalty or a Free Kick. COYFR!

Really thought we would have won comfortably tonight, and even more so when I saw the starting 11. This is the first time that the discontent has been publicly put to the management ( After the St Mirren game ) and we responded by gaining a well deserved point at Ibrox, I just really thought we'd push on now, but Jesus fucking Christ, how wrong I was. Hard to really single people out, because it was collectively, garbage. We insisted on passing between Devlin, McKenna & Ferguson, only to then hoof it up the Pitch. Would drop Fergsuon in a heartbeat, he brings absolutely nothing to this team, he is pathetically slow, gives away idiotic fouls and he didn't lift his head and move forward tonight until the 80th Minute. Cosgrove could be doing with getting dropped as well, he's been atrocious since he's came back from the Ban he got, wrongly I might add, for that perfectly legitimate tackle against Ajer. But then we can't go with Anderson up front on his own and I would rather bring Mackie back than play Curtis Main, period. We have no identity, we lack creativity, we lack braveness, we lack intent and we lack a competent Manager. We also lack some fight, the biggest problem I have. Apparently Cosgrove was having a go at the support as he walked towards the Tunnel, can anyone confirm? And you saw McGeouch's reaction when he was booed for passing it all the way back to Lewis, from the Halfway line, he shrugged his shoulders and put his arms out as if to say " What am I supposed to do " for a good few seconds after it, clearly rattled. We have a new Chairman & Training Ground, we have a possible new Stadium, we are debt free and have a relatively good wage budget, for me, we are an attractive opportunity to most managers and I would personally love Dave Cormack to show more ambition and part ways with McInnes, and attract someone here who has a strong mentality, indifference to Rangers & Celtic and is feared/respected ( In a good way ) who can fucking motivate Players. Thank McInnes for the League Cup, thank him for his efforts up until now, because he deserves some praise for working hard behind the scenes and making us a formidable team again, but he's in real danger of throwing that away and ending it sourly here.

I know Considine is capable of covering a couple of Positions, but I am not so sure Striker is one of them
-
I was a big fan of Markus Heikkinen, was that a JC signing or someone previous to him? I can't remember the exact details that far back I am afraid. I do remember JC signed Þórarinn Kristjánsson, and he was fucking horrific. I think he made his debut as a Sub vs Rangers?

Hoping we can carry even more of a threat than we did on Saturday, because we carried a threat, but given we will see more of the ball, I am hoping we maintain the same intensity and show more guile. This comment from the BBC pretty much epitomizes what I hope from to see from us on a weekly basis! Aberdeen were all tigerish intent in Saturday's Ibrox battle, snapping into tackles and defending as if their lives depended on it. If they had left with all three points, it wouldn't have been an injustice. That level of performance, though, is required more consistently and not just against the league's heavyweights. As we have all said time and again, we have the Players to be performing much better than we have been, we need to see it week in, week out though. All that slight ease of pressure will only come back with an inept showing against St Johnstone. I remain hopeful that we will brush them aside, and finally get back in among the goals. Aberdeen 3 vs 0 St Johnstone ( Cosgrove x 2, Hedges )
-
I thought we started well and had 2 good opportunities to score ( Cosgrove x 2 ) They didn't register their first effort until the 31st Minute, and even that creature Tom Commentator ( Don't know his right name ) said he wasn't used to seeing teams come and play this way ( A comment echoed by Gerrard after the game ) I think we were worthy of our Point, both Keepers had a good game, thought we were fairly solid defensively, but something isn't right with Cosgrove, he's been so far off the pace it's unreal, his touch when through one on one was fucking amateur, before the break, he's burying that! Still not convinced that McGeouch, Ferguson & Ojo can play in the same team to be honest, but they all put in a good shift. Wee mention to Gallagher, thought he came on and caused problems, initially, he was direct and forced a couple of saves, perhaps just off Cosgrove is his Position? Anyway, a merited Point, a decent showing and now we really need to build on it, Motherwell lost today, which helps.

It's becoming increasingly obvious that the man has ran out of " Ideas " He can play the victim to Cormack etc... claiming we need players, all he wants, but he won't change our " Style " and any man and their dog can see, after 2 games, that McGeouch, Ojo & Ferguson are not compatible in the midfield, they are far too similiar. I just saw on Social Media there that we haven't scored from open play in 4 games now, we visit Ibrox next week, so I doubt that'll change. It's disgraceful and should not be happening. He's a boring cunt, a very stubborn cunt, we have the personell to be more adventurous and more of a threat, but he's adamant on this crazy long ball game, I have saw people defending him, saying he can't be coaching it, so answer me this then you fucking sycophantic enablers, why the fuck do we do it every game? Of course it's coached, fuck off. We need, and have done for 18-24 months now, a new Manager.

Season 2019/2020 Rebuilding

Kennedy signing today/tonight. Agreed a fee with them, not sure if one of our Players is involved heading their way. -
I fully appreciate that a lot of you won't even give this a listen, and I am in no way a " Fan " of his, but this was pretty good, and probably hit home because of my own Fathers illness, I thought it was relatable and glad I listened to it. " I'm not your son, you're not my father We're just two grown men saying goodbye No need to forgive, no need to forget I know your mistakes and you know mine "

I didn't even remotely enjoy Jojo Rabbit I like Taika Waititi as well, I just never got into it all and actually thought it got worse as it went on.

Season 2019/2020 Rebuilding
KennyFuckinPowers replied to KennyFuckinPowers's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
Correct, a fucking bonkers addition, he's rank rotten & should never have been signed. You'll get the odd oddball that'll defend him, saying he's not getting service ( When played ) etc.... but if you look at his career stats, you'll see quite clealry that he's just not a good Player, simple as, and smacked of an utterly lazy signing. I hope he leaves, wether it's for Kennedy in this window, or just in general. -
