I think Maddison's style is already having an effect on our players. Quite a few were doing flicks (McGinn's in defence wasn't cool) and controlling the ball with a better first touch into space. Part of me thinks that this is probably also because they (especially Hayes and McGinn) are being less closely marked than before - and we also had an extra man against RC remember - which is probably caused by defenders having to pay extra attention to Maddison. He will be missed when he goes, that is without question. Best we can do is keep him off our highlights reel and tell his boss how shite he is doing...
