  1. 3 match ban for all, suspended until Feb '21 and only comes into effect if they re-offend. https://www.scottishfa.co.uk/scottish-fa/football-governance/disciplinary/disciplinary-updates/ SFA in sensible shocker!
  2. I thought it should have been Ash Taylor.
  3. He sounds very much like a former poster on Aberdeen-mad...posted as Jack Jarvis - troll, racist, sexist. Best ignored.
  4. McKenna's back-heeler in the "stramash in the box" probably qualifies as a effort on target!
  5. Totally agree...our idea of turning defence into attack is to pass it back to Joe and have him punt it up field to 5' 8" Anderson and wonder why he doesn't win the ball. Our only footballing midfielder is McGinn and he's hardly ever played there.
  6. Having more competitive preseason games should only come into effect in the last 20 mins or so not the first 20 and then the next 20 etc. Have to admit that the watching it live thought it was a red card but after seeing the replay the other guys attempt to win the ball was two-footed and off the ground but we can't appeal on the basis that both should have been sent off! Thought Anderson, as someone else has posted, was hung out to dry today...if you are forced to play a small striker then keep the ball on the ground and get the midfield players close to him, but then our midfield would have to get the ball in the first place and, even when we did, we looked shell-shocked and didn't know what to do with it...pass it back to McKenna or, in Ojo's case just pass it to anyone else. The only plus, I thought, was Hernandez, who looked a decent footballer and used his body well on a couple of occasions.
  7. That's a overstatement. Even passing 5 yards seems beyond him.
  8. Any reason given for Pearson's sacking? Seems a weird piece of timing, as you say, they're not clear of relegation yet.

    Coronavirus

From Guardian online today (and this is only figures for England) - 28m ago English death toll rises by 367 to 1,651 14:47 A total of 1,651 people who have tested positive for coronavirus in England have died, up 367 from 1,284 on Monday, NHS England said. Looks like saying social distancing was working is a little premature
  10. I suppose they could restart the league at the beginning of May behind closed doors and only play the pre-split games and that's the league and Euro places sorted; one team up and one down and no play-offs. Then we play our semi final on the 3rd weekend and the final the week after.
  11. Noooooo us auld geezers don't like change
  12. Apart from the header against Killie!
  13. That'll be next season, then.
  14. Just announced his retirement.
  15. Isn't Devlin a permanent long term injury worry, though? Sadly, like Hoban, he looks like a really good defender but won't play more that 10-15 games all season.
  16. and let one through his legs in the last couple of minutes.
  17. Thanks for that...worked a treat. By Christ it was hard viewing, though. We're through and that's all that counts in the end.
  18. O'Neill sacked by Forest who've already appointed a new manager.
  19. Really? Not when the final whistle went, because that was the pinnacle - the moment we'd actually won the game. And, by the way, most of us were going berserk when Hewitt scored but you decided to be very philosophical and calm and spoil your mate's enjoyment.
  20. I didn't say he wants to leave, I said I wouldn't be surprised if he left in the summer. His contract is up in a year, he a very good keeper which will have been noted at other Clubs and I shouldn't imagine that the Club would want him to leave for free next season.
  21. Wouldn't be at all surprised if Joe Lewis was away too...think his contract is up next summer and he looked really pissed off on Sunday at the end when he was handing his gloves to a young kid.
  22. Congratulations (though I suspect it'll be years not days you'll be busy). Your new one will share a birthday with SAF. Happy New Year to you and yours.
  23. KO time means 2 nights stayover in Glasgow...great.
  24. Why do they have to return any they don't sell - couldn't the Club just take the hit, after all they wouldn't have budgeted for a semi-final appearance.
