I am sitting here pondering McGhees favoured 4-3-3 tactics and wondering how our current crop will get on with this system and whether the JMG mob with their 'play 4-4-2 and you will win most weeks, its not rocket science' mantra will appreciate it. I also think that Jimmy much vaunted, but often hidden, tactical nous came to the fore in some of our European games with some great performances and ultimately only being let down by the inferior players at his disposal whereas McGhees team in Europe was hammered home and away looking tactially inept. Interesting times ahead.

Celtic fans certainly not happy at all at the prospect of McGhee as manager so if they appoint him it will be interesting. Talk of a high profile assistant to sweeten the deal though. Bookies and betfair odds up and down like a yo-yo so nobody seems to really know what is going on.

I think his performances at the end of the season were far better than mediocre. He was outstanding the last 6 weeks or so of the season and really showed what an influential player he can be.

I thought he had come onto a game and looked steady enough when played at centre half. New manager now has some real shortages in the centre of defence
