  1. If McInnes does end up going to Stoke, I hope we try and get Steve Clarke from Killie.
  2. Is it not that had we scraped through and got a result nobody would be complaning about the tactics. Look at the two sevco games. We played the same way and got results. I actually think if we had lowe and devlin in the side the tactics would have worked. To me the problem is just that compared to teams like Celtic and even Sevco our squad is not strong enough.
  3. I don't think Ball put in a good enough performance today. Would say he was at fault for the first goal and just didn't break up the play enough in the middle of the park. When we then moved Shinnie into midfield it was better but we were totally exposed on the flanks. I actually thought Considine did fine today but was always going to be done for pace once he was moved out to left back. I think it was obvious that we sorely missed Max Lowe. Personally don't buy that Celtic were there for the taking, they are not as good as they have been but neither are we. They managed to take an 8m player off the bench to turn the match for them. We are doing well to be where we are based on the players we have lost over the past few seasons. I would bite your arm off to accept a European place and integrating some of these good youngsters into the team this season. Its not that I'm unambitious but I do feel realistically we are going to need this season to rebuild. Maclennan looked decent again today although he was quickly crowded out whenever he got the ball.
  4. Not to get too carried away but is gaulds cotract not up in the summer? If so he might fancy coming back home. I believe he is a dons fan.
  5. I hadn't been following this but, apparently it was played in Madrid. I know this was partly down to the fan violence they had over there. But as the BBC article is alluding to, this is setting a dangerous precedent. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/46500504
  6. For those who havent read it. Apparently he said F*%k the Rangers.
  7. He was given Game time though usually at the expense of our younger players. Only 3 starts, but was involved in 20 games over the course of the season. Its about taking your chances when your given them.
  8. I feel like I'm just about done with football. I went from being a season ticket holder years ago to being a bit apathetic attending the odd game here or there. I just recently started going a bit more again. Its bad enough with the financial disparity which makes it barely a sport, and more of a case of buying success. Add in the corrupt SFA and its just a step too far. I think AFC have a lot to answer for. We have been badly run for years and although I think we have made a lot of progress with the 1st team setup I believe that we are still failing in other departments. I think its systematic that most football clubs are not well engaged with there fanbase and I think our club and its chariman are too invested in the current system to see the changes that need to be made. I could probably rant for a while here, but I will write to the club and let them know my feelings about this and I suggest you all do the same. I think the club needs to be made aware that if it doesn't listen to us it will be hit in the pocket as we need to deal with the corrupt complicity within afc first. Then we can maybe move forward with taking on the SFA.
  9. Thats the real shite thing about this. Whoever is reviewing these incidents is reacting to what is being said by the ugly sisters. They are obviously based in glasgow and incapable of making a objective decision. This incident has been cited purely because Rodgers and the Celtic fans were up in arms about it. Its certainly not clear and obviously a red card. I even feel that had a foul been given i would have felt it was soft. Red tinted specs maybe but for me Mckenna gets the ball then its a coming together because of the pace both players were travelling at.
  10. His brothers career did go downhill, but consider this. Whos made more money out of the two of them? I would hope if we offer him a really decent wage it might be enough, but he might go because he just wants to try something different.
  11. I see Partick Thistle have signed Souleymane Coulibaly, I would have thought he would have been a good signing for us. Certainly managed plenty of goals at Killie and his wage demands cant be that high if hes gone to Partick.
  12. Where can I find proper highlights for this match? Doesn't seem to be anywhere :/
  13. How was Frank Ross today?
  14. Interesting signing. If he scores bags of goals then i guess its a good one. But its a stop gap really. Next season he wont be here and if he keeps young Bruce Anderson out of the team it wont help us going forward.
  15. I believe gauld is an aberdeen supporter having been born here. So that may work in our favour. Also hed be nearer his family.
  16. Is it really that much of a risk to start a youngster in his position? If it is what is the point in having a yoth system? Theres never been a conveinient time to give youngsters starts over the past few seasons so we might as well give them a shot now. If we start Bruce Anderson and he gets another goal it will relieve the pressure for derek to bring in a new striker (not that im saying we shouldnt). Harrington might be a revelation and could save us bringing in some gash journeyman to back up the rb position but we wont know if Mcinnes doesnt give them a run out.
  17. The only problem I could forsee is it introduces a level of uncertainty for the referee. If you make kicking out a red for violent conduct all of the time it allows the refs to be more consistent. Just look at how the handball rule has gone since we have introduced the qualification of if it has to be intentional. Im really gutted on this one. Its just utter corruption at the sfa/spl. They are saying that a Morelos is only a yellow card but Logans was much worse. Also no sign of Gerrard getting pulled in for his post match comments on the refs. I wouldnt be so angry but there are precedents that have been set.
  18. If it does get overturned someone needs to ask some serious questions like suing them for inconsistant application of the rules. When you consider Logans vs Morelos its light and day which one is worse and there is plenty of provocation for Logan.
  19. I see they have appealed the red card. It would be ridiculous if he got it overturned. But i could see it happening unfortunatly.
  20. We are begging for a better striker and I think once we get somebody with better quality hopefully the long ball tactics will change. You cant really play any other way with Cosgrove up top. I havent completely given up on May but Im beginning to lose hope.
  21. Although the way we went about the game was disappointing, I dont think we have to worry yet. The team was clearly drained from thursday and the squad was stretched. I think DM knows ball is not a right back, but who else does he play there? There will be further reinforcements and some of the new boys still need time to settle into the team. Seeing Bruce Anderson come on and score gives me some optimisim aswell. As for Rangers I still think they will struggle to win week in week out this season. Gerrard let his composed mask slip during his interview. The pressure is on him now.
  22. Apparently we didnt want to let him go. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/44890774
