excellent result. Just what you would expect when a team of hammer throwers from SFL 3 go against SPL opposition - a cuffing and a couple of sending offs. McCoist must stay !
-
If the teams below us win their game(s) in hand, then we will be 10th. If St Mirren win their's by 7 (unlikely, I know) we'd drop down to 11th. Brown needs to get his finger out and figure why we are so shite.

I really hope that was the team talk after the game. Just not good enough. -
whoopie doo.... a goal

pleased enough, but echoing the "youth revolution" thoughts.

He's been down at Swindon for the last couple of seasons. -
The goalkeeper situation

But at least when he fucks up at striker/fullback, there's a chance that there's someone behind him to atone. Keepers' mistakes are uselessy punished mercilessly. -

Twitter is just a piece of nonsense. And morons sending abuse on it are, well, morons.......... We can all be mad at Langfield for his mistakes be sending him or anyone on our team death wishes is a disgrace. To answer your bolded point, all keepers make mistakes, it just seems that Langfield keeps making them, again and again. He seems to get a lot of leeway from the coaching staff because he's a great shot stopper. Marvellous, except his kicking, coming from crosses, communication and general presence in the box are all sadly below par. J Brown is, I think, a bit better than Clangers, but he's no Leighton/Snelders/Kjaer or even Burridge. -

Just like I get told all the time on Football Manager, Player X has tried to adapt his game but failed.....

Expectations going into season 2012-13

Voted for 5th. Given how dreadful we've been over the last 3 seasons, that would represent a good step forward. I do think the new signings are an improvement, nice to see proper wide players and a FB being added, Vernon will hopefully grab a bagfull of goals with some decent service. However, I worry about a repeat of some of the dreadful displays from last year and the fact that Pa Broon is just such a naturally negative, cautious manager. 5th, but good maybe sneak a spot or two higher. -

Good signing, decent player with loads of experience. Hope he can impart some of that knowledge to our FBs of the future. Welcome to the Dons. -
Pretty in depth match report from the club. Sounded like we did have chances, but slightly worrying how often Magennis was mentioned in relation to defensive lapses.

Indeed he was. ( a LB, the other debate is always going to be slanted by personal opinions) I thought we were talking about poor defenders generally, not just poor central defenders. -

I really like the "Donate A Season Ticket" idea the club has. With a 16,000 mile round trip for a game, I figured I would buy an ST, purely as a gesture of support. Now, at least someone can get the benefit of a free ticket. -
geez mizer, you're like the Grinch.............. If we can remove Sevco from the situation, have we not all been complaining about the current set up and how it needs revamped and revitalised? I read Milne's statement as saying, we've got an opportunity here to actually make a positive change. Milne has rightly (IMO) got loads of pelters from the fans over his chairmanship over the years, but I think he's handled the whole Sevco fiasco well. I also agree wholeheartedly with his last paragraph. We, as fans, have bumped our gums and keyboards about wanting integrity above all else. I actually like that Milne is in effect saying, you got what you wanted. Now, help pay the cost of it.
