I'd certainly be happy if we approached Curbishley. Good manager, brought through several decent youngsters through his clubs and seemed to be able to buy decent players for reasonable amounts. Seemed to be able to get good results from (relatively) limited resources at Charlton. Won't be doing it for the money - seeing as he got a couple million in compensation from West Ham last year. He might need a map to find us tho' - bar a spell in Birmingham, it looks like he likes the London area.........

stoney, I think you're as delusional as mcghee seems to be. I thought JC's time was up here. I know there was a lot of moaning done about him, his tombola, the strange tactics, his Big Boydy, wee kenny media pish and his orange tan. But right now, I'd much rather be moaning like we were when we complained that finishing in the top 6 wasn't that much of an achievement, instead of being seriously concerned that mcghee is going to get this club relegated for the first time ever in its proud history. I'm all for backing the team, and whichever manager we have in place. But for fuck's sake, have a serious look at our situation, results and squad and then come back and say you think that McGhee is doing a great job. Sometimes, no matter how much we want things to happen a certain way, they just don't work out. Bit like me and Evangeline Lilly really.

That's kind of the one glimmer of "hope" I have been clinging to. In my imaginery world, the board have had enough but realise that we had to play those greetin faced paranoids again and figured that another hammering won't make things worse for McGhee (after all, it's only 3 points) but it might not be the ideal start for a new man. In my scenario, after getting humped again next week, MM walks, gets fired or is attacked by a man with a rabid dog and is never seen again.

That pattern won't continue. I think that the numbers will continue to fall - did most of us not think that we'd beat the wendies ? Losing this, and looking at the fixtures, (away to Killie), next home game is the Mongol Horde who just put 9 past us a couple of weeks ago - how many will go to that? Away to Hearts, then home to M'well on the Satr before Christmas. If we have lost those previous 3 games - which is not that unlikely, I'd say under 5000 for that game

In past dreadful seasons, I always had this unflappable belief that we actually were one of those teams that were "too good to go down". Not any more. We're abysmal, and whatever the manager is doing, it isn't working, it hasn't worked for a while and it shows no signs of working. I really thought I was past letting this fucking shower of talentless wasters upset me - but it seems not. I never thought I'd say this - Mark McGhee, you need to do the honorable thing and resign !
