  1. Am all for data , work every day using analytics , data etc. I do question what real impact this is having , do we blame the analyst for the quite simply bonkers starting 11 v Celtic ? Mcinnes continuing obsession by playing the best lb in the ctry in cm, not making subs...
  2. If we get money for Derek let him go, he has ran out of runway tactically, the team v Celtic suggest a man at his his ceiling mentally as a manager, as has some of the signings. Tommy Wright is not the answer , we have a team that is capable of explosive attacking football but is held back ....we pay suits a million pounds per year to come up with the answer...
  3. Finding the criticism if Hans a bit weird, maybe as I was a teenager then and he was my favourite player, he was great in the run in 91, sure he was a surly tit but he was far and away the best player in the team. Not only did he provide goals but go back and look at the interplay and assists he contributed. As for shipping him out and replacing him? Doubt it
  4. Willie Miller, who was supposed to be learning the ropes from Smith, in fact knew he was mismanaging the side. His first three signings - Aitken, Paatelainen and Shearer - were the opposite of Smith signings, all about bringing an injection of steel, will to win and clinical finishing. As he said at the time, football is about more than just passing the ball. Unfortunately by that time the financially doped Murray era was fully underway at Mordor, and he couldn't close the gap with the type of player we could afford to bring to the club. Tosh ^ Aitken was fucking hopeless, Miller then went onto to fill the squad with abject dross like John Inglis , Gary Smith, Paul Kane, Peter Hetherstone, Joe Miller, Colin Woodthorpe , Ray Mckinnon not a fucking winner between them. Dont try and tell that was money well spent. In effect he dismantled a free flowing excellent footballing side and turned them into hod carriers. He also chased Gilhaus out of the club.
  5. was an influx of ab madders into afc hat a while back which effectively ruined that site.. maybe they will stay away
  6. Seems manager is content with the absolute lack of quality in CM , expect Hearts to fully race past us.
  7. Another shiter , no cb signed woefully short in defensive midfield , and it appears no real competition for hayes/mcginn as storey/burns are not wingers
  8. A shitebag of a performance from a shitebag of a manager , fucking back 3 , reynolds horrendous , i would have put a better shift in than mclean , manager hasnt strengthened adequately
  9. Shinnie isnt good enough nor robust enough for midfield he should be playing LB
  10. club made $500k profit last time out since then a lot of players have left .... not seen next set of financials but maybe they wont be as good give we were shocking in cups, but attendances were up and getting second place may have helped, i agree its not all about milne putting hand in pocket, there are other areas to look at , 250k on a ceo, how many non football people are drawing wage , should he disband youth policy until such time we have adequate training facilties....... is the 1st team the priority...
  11. I guess like alot of these guys Milne isnt a liquid millionaire, but if he sold off assets etc he no doubt would, I very much doubt he has cash like that available, or maybe he has
  12. Another couple of things bubbling away. Mcinnes now appears to be a tombola merchant with players being played out of position week in week out , some of the formations and line ups have been puzzling. The bigger underlying concern is are we skint ? I thought we would have spent more/recruited more in the close season we had 250k for Tansey in January , where is it ?
  13. Storie isnt fit enough/strong enough nor in my opinion actually good enough
  14. shite performance and the usual inability to actually score with an abundance of attacking talent, blame lies at manager not enough players want it
  15. So we start again while Mcinnes has no doubt strengthened our attacking options and GK position, we are still way short. Ash Taylor will cost us 4,5 games this year I have no doubt about that, we need a CB Shinnie in CM is not a long term option, he is , on his day the best LB in the league and Considine is not a good enough LB . Finally and probably most importantly CM, Mclean continues to puzzle me in terms of what he really brings to the team we need a dynamic midfield to support Jack.. Part of me fears we have signed all we will sign , if so I think we may struggle
  16. as long as its not pawlett
  17. appears we have signed 18 yrd old cb played in irn bru cup last night
  18. Look at the game they got acres of space through the middle he was dragged out of positions on numerous occasions and nearly got caught with similar mistake that cost the goal, he didnt have a good game. Ash might be a big guy but he gets out muscled a lot for his size and actually he isnt anywhere near as dominant as he should be, the guy is a liability and if we really want to improve and challenge he needs to be replaced
  19. ash taylor every time, mcinnes to blame he is the weak link
  20. shambles at the back already considine (not his fault) is simply not a good enough
  21. that prize money will have a negligible impact as it will probably cover costs of charter flights, hotels etc for away ties
  22. Taylor was hideous last night, if Mcinnes doesnt address this we are in trouble
  23. both storey and burns can play wide so see them as possible challengers to mcginn/hayes and even mclean
  24. Shinnie in cm manager is a fud
