  1. Last one I watched was in 2010 and the linesmen didnt know how to do their job. They just stood on the halfway line looking back towards one of the goals. Almost every counter attack i can recall was flagged offside even if the striker had been stood in his own half when the ball was played. Why they insist on having it every 2 years is a mystery to me.
  2. No salt No Limes And for the first 1/3 of the bottle, no glass or cup etc to drink it out of. Just a small sombrero shaped cap.
  3. The other trick seems to be to share the train back with lower league teams fans. Having received a verbal warning from a harpy clippie before we'd even boarded the train we only saw her about 2 times from inverness to perth. She seemed to spend most of her Harpy energy on the east fife fans in the next carriage up. Even complemented us on our good behaviour. That may have been down to someones bright idea to purchase a bottle of tequila though.
  4. According to one member of the GUASC the way around it is to merely fill up half a bottle of smirnoff with coke The conductors will assume you always store your soft drinks in spirits bottles and leave you alone
  5. selling out a 60000 stadium at min £62 a ticket each week seems like good financial sense to me. How long it will last however.......
  6. European place for the winner might help too. But I take it thats outside of the SFA's hands?
  7. Was also a particularly shite product for the amount of money you were paying. I stopped using them because basically every 2nd dvd I rented was scratched to fuck and never played. The reponse from the staff was the classic 'fucked if i care' and occasionally they would offer to put it through some little cleaning device which only made the scratches/gouges shiny. You never got a refund, they just kept offering it to you for anther night. What also shafted them was the speed DVDs come out to buy now. Used to take an eternity for a film to make it to the rental market from the cinema and then it would take almost the same length of time again before you could buy it. Now it seems you can buy it on the same day it is released for rental and thats usually within 3months of its cinema relase. And at £7 for 1 night at Blockbuster (with a disc that probably wont work) as opposed to £15-20 on amazon etc to keep or part of a £5 a month love film subscription its no wonder they were fucked.
  8. Im not sure where Robert Rae's is but most of my CD collection was purchased from a wee place opposite the bowling alley. Think it was called Retro Blue and the owner was sound bloke called James. Think he was using some early collectors ebay board to get hold of rare CDs & Vinyl. That was open about 2000-2003 but unfortunately the internet sites gradually got larger collections and got cheaper so he eventually had to close. Never found out what happened to him
  9. Fopp is still owned by HMV HMV goes then I suspect and fear that Fopp will go. I remember seeing some newsround report back in the early 90s about the internet and how sooner or later we would be able to buy stuff without having to leave the house. And even though as a young teenager in a remote village who relied on occasional trips to Inverness to buy anything the thought of not being able to wander about a shop 'browsing' saddened me. The current Kate Winslet advert for some on demand film service where she essentially says how shit it was having to wander about a video shop and actually choose from their selection really pisses me off and only aids my boycott of pair per view TV. The future of actual social interaction is getting bleaker by the day.
  10. which section in P& B did you find that article? I wouldn't mind sending it to a couple of folk
  11. All this talk about meaningless games Perhaps they need to spice things up a bit. Top 3 or 4 get into europe (depending on coefficient) 3 Teams go down 4th & 5th bottom teams in 2 leg play offs playoff with teams finishing 4th and 5th top in division 1 and spot prizes for the others announced completely at random - Winners of todays match will get £10k to give to their local charity, or get additional funding for their youth set up, or will get vouchers for coach and train travel for their fans heading to the next away game, You could turn up for a seemingly dull mid table match against say Queen of the South and suddenly discover that if your team wins, you and all your other fellow fans will be put into a draw to either get to, or nominate someone to kick Kyle Lafferty in the nuts like this
  12. Bristol City sack McInnes. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21001780
  13. i wonder if the new stadium rules will mean they still have to be all seated but clubs can set their own capacities based on their needs, or will standing areas be allowed to return/ be retained?
  14. think that would be a disaster for scottish clubs finances if it was put in as a rule. Premier league clubs each get tens of millions from Sky and co (think £40million a season) so paying for a few coaches every second saturday could easily be put into their budget. SPL clubs dont even get half that amount to share between 12 and Celtic & co swallow up about 40% of it between them. So to suddenly say 'right you must now lay on x number of coaches for every away game will take money away from new new players budget, youth development etc Also as you cannot booze on buses how popular is this really going to be? I doubt more people are going to be tempted to head to a shitehole like kilmarnock with the offer of a free, completly 'dry' 9hr bus journey. What I would like to see is compensation for fans who shell out for buses, trains etc for which they quite often can only get a max of a 50% refund if any at all, only for the TV companies to suddenly re-arrange a game. That should be part of the TV deal.
  15. Dont see where Wenger 'echo's anything One dodgy tax man wanting several more into this club and for fuck sake im getting sick of people using Swansea, Cardiff etc as a reason for cross border leagues. The 6 welsh teams playing in the English league have been there since they were founded. There used to be 11 but 5 chose/ were forced to move to the Professional welsh league when it was formed in 1992 due to FIFA and Co essentially threatening to remove the Welsh national team from major tournaments and make their players only eligible to play for England.
  16. Its not a training camp its camp training
  17. far as I was aware the cove development includes a sports village which both teams would use as traingin facilites. The Cove development was 'cancelled' because the council decided the land it was to be built on should only be used to residential projects or something like that.

  20. Chick Young in 'pick random club out of a hat' shocker? http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20920858 Yes that is the entire article.
  21. As i see it the issue is not with the racists but with the fact they are allowed to do it inside what is meant to be a controlled environment. You are never going to get rid of racism in everyday life and to think you can makes you almost as blind and moronic as the racists themselves. Ignoring the odd fuckwit in the crowd is one thing but when its an entire section or stand? Football is expensive and it gets even more expensive if you put on a match and either before or partway through the game is abandoned due to something you are meant to be in control of - the floodlights, the turnstiles, ticket sales and the spectators. . Clubs and football authorities are not bothering to police it until the media run a story and an entire team walking off is a story. If it keeps on happening then the media will be in a frenzy. A big issue with the policing is the stewards at the games don't have any real power and a large chunk of them are volunteers who signed up to help people to their seats or direct them to the snack bars etc. See how many volunteers you get when they are expected to confront racist, abusive, drunk and/or violent fans. At the moment I presume the extent of their actions to these fans is to point them out to the cops and then stand clear. The needs of the many should supposedly outweigh the needs of the few so if it is supposedly only a minority of supporters as the clubs and authorities claim then stopping the game and not restarting until the cops evacuate/ arrest an entire section of supporters might be a potential solution. However the police will highlight the risk of this is yon section rioting and innocent fans getting caught up. Well innocent fans are already caught up in it and to an extent we are almost expected to self police/ shop the thug element in our own support. Perhaps the tannoy system could issue a warning naming the section(s) responsible. Ah fuck it thats far to idealistic. Essentially all the talk about education, and campaigns with t-shirts isnt going to work with 'bunch of drunken football fans'. Correct me if i'm wrong but did some of the real thug element suddenly vanish from our Ibrox away support when the club start putting names to each ticket? Cops arrested someone who had a ticket sub with 49B on it. The club checked the database and banned said person from future games. If the person with the ticket stub wasn't the one the club list then both were banned from future games. Exactly how hard would it be to put a name to each ticket bought on the day? or perhaps just to take a photograph of each fan passing through the turnstiles and that picture be linked to the ticket they were handed? Yes its big brother but at the risk of being right wing perhaps a big brother style response is the solution with situations like this?
  22. No tickets on sale on the day. Need 2 get them today in person or buy on the phone/ net and pick them up from the team bus between 145 and 215 tomorrow. Means I'm oot.
