  1. I seriously doubt Ross County have anything to do with Green & Co St Mirren's board on the other hand........
  2. Given the security at the 2010 London marathon and the level of paranoia the Americans appear to have I'm wondering how this sort was allowed to happen? In saying that I seem to remember there being more security at the forfar vs aberdeen cup tie that there was at the Colorado Avalanche vs Minnesotta wild ice hockey match
  3. Newcastle city Centre to be avoided this afternoon then?
  4. Millwall up to their old tricks again http://www.3news.co.nz/VIDEO-Fan-violence-in-stands-FA-Cup-semi-final-Millwall-Vs-Wigan/tabid/317/articleID/294172/Default.aspx
  5. 4-3 hibs now Shite
  6. tennents pissed off with them now sponsorship to be pulled?
  7. Suggests to me that it is ll down to losing the opportunity for bumper away crowds from Celtic, and for some clubs the dons, Hibs & hearts. Really poor way to work you finances if yer relying on the league being kind with regards to your home matches and your team making the top 6 or being in a relegation battle in the bottom The whole meaningless fixture argument is void for me. That will happen no matter what the league structure is and a quick look at the bottom 6 shows there are 15 meaningless games between now and May (unless st Mirren lose 5 and dundee win 5) Without the split there would still be the draw of climbing as high as possible (still an outside chance of 3rd for hibs, dons and killie) but apart from the edinburgh derby I cant see any game away from celtic park getting 10000 fans (if that). Did Ross County, Arabs and Caley budget for not getting another visit from the dons? Did the arabs budget for one less dundee derby? etc etc Until the day someone slaps a few heads and says 'this financial system aint working. Downsize accordingly and stop thinking yer a big deal in world football' i predict it will only get worse.
  8. Much better atmosphere if the Germans take over wembley
  9. rhetorical question was a similar threat dished out to the blue meanies last season for say 'NOT PAYING DUNFERMLINE' their share of ticket money?
  10. Would explain the even more apparent sectarian singing in and around queen street station last night
  11. 1-0 PSG what price them holding on for the next 30mins?
  12. The element of neds in the partick support suprised me (which considering where their stadium it shouldnt) Last minute equalizer and the fans from the opposite corner ran along the concourse, broke down the advertising hoarding and invade the pitch. Couple of them were playing the big man with the queens fans but others were also targeting the Queens players. Noticeable lack of Cops in the stadium too. Counted a total of 1 begind the goal with the queens fans.
  13. I suspect it has something to do with Celtic wanting their first match to be a home game but with the blue meanies also playing at home that weekend Strathclyde Police aint exactly keen on the extra overtime
  14. Cracking game at Almondvale today sell out crowd 2 goals, missed penalty, red card for a headbutt, sudden death penalty shoot out
  15. 30000 turned up at Hampden to see them scrap a 1-0 against the leagues only Amateur Club back in December 19000 of them have gone AWOL for today's 4-1 win. Anyone taking bets on how many will turn up at Ibrox for the upcoming Clyde & Peterhead games?
  16. So did Barcelona in the last round. Personally I was pissed off the ref didn't start dishing out yellow cards to the Barcelona team for the way they hounded him when he didn't stop play for the 2 Barcelona boys running into each other and then seemingly demanded PSG give the ball back to them rather than take the resulting corner. Really hope PSG stuff them in the 2nd leg
  17. Barcelona making steady progress to the top of my 'teams I cannot stand' league table by apparently lodging a complaint against the referee for his performance on Tuesday night. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/22037418
  18. The gift that at the moment just keeps on giving http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/22035246 Rangers are facing a legal bill after a panel judged they should pay the expenses of five former players they were in contract disputes with. Sone Aluko, Kyle Lafferty, Steven Naismith, Jamie Ness and Allan McGregor all quit the club when it was placed into liquidation last year. The players refused to transfer their contracts from the old company to the new one, which the club challenged. The panel says Rangers should pay all legal bills relating to the dispute. The panel was established and facilitated under the Scottish Football Association's Articles of Association after agreement was reached by the club and the players over who should represent each side of the dispute, with a chair appointed to review both side's claims. However, the SFA is not directly involved in the arbitration process and has no influence over any decisions taken by the panel.
  19. Because we cant afford to invite a decent club and no one would bother turning up to watch it
  20. New Affluent worker Sure my mum would like the 'working class background' bit
  21. Quick check of the blue square premier Newport and Wrexham currently in the playoff spots and both still in the chance of the title Could be 4 welsh clubs in the main english league set up again. Cardiff potentially 3 wins away from promotion to the premiership. Might put The hordes into meltdown if all that happens
