  1. Actually I believ the SFA were sneaky about that. To start with it is declared as a 50-50 split but they give out 'initial' allocations to each club. Celtic or rangers initial allocations are approx 24000. Other clubs are initially given say 12000 and then have to go back and ask for more in 3000 blocks. If you havent reached your 24000 within a certain time (say 2 weeks before the final) they say 'tough you had yer chance' and had the rest over to OF. So whilst you might not get 24000 you could probably get pretty close too it if you could sell your allocatiion right up until the last day
  2. Just a wee side note So far this season the highest home attendances at 3 of 12 SPL clubs have been non old firm games Hearts - Hibs Hibs - Hearts Dundee United - Aberdeen St Johnstones highest attendance was 6759 (vs Celtic) - 3914 empty seats Kilmarnocks highest attendance was 9506 (Vs Rangers) - 8622 empty seats. Saints are apparenlty demolishing one of their stands for a new road. I predict Kilmarnock and other clubs may start down similar avenues pretty soon With regards to the killie fans at the cup final there are many folk who will not go to matches involving either of the old firm. In particular they are reluctant to take their kids because of the unsavoury element of their own teams fans that come out for them. Dundee United had nearly 30000 fans for 2010 final. Had it been against celtic instead of ross county they would have only been given a max 18000 and I reckon they would have struggled to sell 15000. A reduction in the glory hunting element would have accounted for some of that but also the reluctance to come to Hampden to play a local team
  3. We need them to fill out stadiums for us You know those min 100006000 seaters which are always sold out when they come to play
  4. If I was Murray's PR advisor I would be banging my head against the wall after the whole 'scottish football needs us, celtic needs us blah blah blah' bit.
  5. 1994 League Cup final 1998 Scottish Cup Final
  6. Im impressed Was on -101 2 days ago. 4 posts later and its -160. Beat that Mizer!
  7. Yes and in 143 years they have won 5 trophies (all Scottish) In 108 years we have won 18 trophies (Scottish & European) Statistics & mini-skirts etc
  8. True but are Motherwell really going to turn around what is currently a +37Goal difference in 8 games?
  9. Unfortunately I agree with you especially since they used a de-frib and that didnt bring him round. If you have no response after 10mins thats basically it
  10. Going by BBC text commentary Im a bit concerned as to what we are doing today
  11. Take it they've given up on the new Brig o Dee bridge then?
  12. Airport shuttle bus should get you to Buchanan street bus station within 15mins. then a short spring to central to get the mount floriday train. However a taxi would probably be your best (if not most pricey) bet
  13. Same guy who designed the Haudagain roundabout
  14. Remove the minimum capacity rule and the smaller clubs can start looking at ways to change their stadiums in their favour. Demolishing current stands and replacing them with training facilities, commercial/ retail/ residential buildings perhaps with small section of seating attached. See the Skonto Riga stadium built in 2000 http://www.worldstadiums.com/stadium_pictures/europe/latvia/riga_skonto.shtml If the clubs cant redevlop then they would also have the option of moving to a new smaller capacity stadium and sell of their old ground to fund it. I say small full stadiums beat large emtpy ones everytime
  15. Need to get rid of this Minimum capacity bullshit. Clubs should be able to set their own capacity to live within their means and not to appease the old firm travelling support. Hopefully that would see an end to clubs closing stands to save money (Dunfermline, Raith Rovers, Airdrie, Clyde, St Johnstone, Livingston, Partick Thistle)
  16. See this EBT stuff? Does that not mean that the players were also cheating the Taxman therefore they could bring charges against every current and former rangers player that got them?
  17. Big difference between 'will not hold up' and 'we still think that we could' Pat Nevin joining the growing list of people who dont have their heads in the sand
  18. Imagine having problems because money you were owed, expected and had budgeted to get weeks in advance suddenly didnt turn up. I know for a fact I would have a massive problem if my boss decided not to give me my pay cheque with no warning. Lumping fuck I really hope this is some journo fiction because if not Brown is in danger of finding his way on the road to Media Mcghee-ville.
  19. If you click on the Third division page it now says 'Aberdeen' at the top of that 10 spl clubs discuss story
  20. All depends who they sell the assets too Murray parks planning restrictions will mean its value is almost halved Ibrox stadium and the surrounding land certainly wont be worth enough to cover the cost of a large tax bill and Im not sure HMRC would be so forgiving as to sell it back to a fans group for cheap price. The only interested parties I can see would be those loveable rogues at Tesco. With no leverage the blue meanies wouldnt be able to negotiate getting a free stadium out of them so renting Hampden would be their only option (shoudl their fans still continue to turn up that is). Then of course I would hope Queens park would put them over a barrel
  21. Not sure about that. Cunts 2012 FC still wont have been registered for 3 seasons (anyway if the bought cowdenbeath it would take them 3 seasons to get back up the leagues)
