  1. It the appeal is successful i bet they downgrade it to a yellow card even though there was nothing in it. Otherwise it might make the ref look silly you know Since we have appealed it does that mean Paton is free to play until the appeals board meets? (As always seems to be the case with hearts)
  2. Well according to old Mark it was because last week Langfields kicking was too great (has it ever been?) and since it was apparently going to be windy in Inverness he felt Goalkeeper kicking was going to be very important so Howard got the nod. Of the most important skills a keeper must have i put Kicking the ball away waaaaaaaaaaay down the list Anyway the updated injury list Fyvie - season Aluko - Unknown Pawlett - unknown Velicka - Unknown Hartley - 2-3 weeks Vujadinovic - 6weeks Megginson - who knows?
  3. Have to question what the fuck Mcghee is on (AGAIN) after his 'Langfield is my number 1 and would have been from the start of the season if he hadnt been injured' speech. Getting to be like the the fucking england squad
  4. 24 Howard 02 McArdle 05 Diamond 06 Considine 16 Ifil 04 Folly 14 Young 22 Jack 09 Vernon 10 Mackie 20 Magennis Substitutes 01 Langfield, 33 Jarvis, 37 Shaughnessy, 35 Hansson, 23 Megginson, 34 Paton So whats out injury list these days Fyvie - season Aluko - Unknown Pawlett - unknown Velicka - Unknown Hartley - 2-3 weeks Vujadinovic - 6weeks Any advance?
  5. The venom in my post is relating to his TV interview the day he asked for a transfer. He said at age 30 he still had not achieved his full potential. That potential seem to have been Lower league english football. At the time we were just about starting to turn the corner with Ebbe but as I recall he criticised the club for its lack of ambition. 20months later we were matching Hertha Berlin in the Olympic stadium (Glasgow Sheep was there apparenlty) and he was playing mid table championship football. No player owes a club anything other than to give 100% on the pitch. At the same time no one player is bigger than the team and his little parting shot at the club was not required. You mentioned scott Booth. There was someone I rate and was pissed off when he left on both occasions. He did not turn down the chance to go to Europe which is why he got to play for the then European champions and became a star in the dutch league. First scot to get a world club cup winners medal too. Admirable the thought that Jess sacrificed a serious career boost so we could get a bit of cash but I do wonder if the thought of upping sticks and moving to Italy didnt also have an effect. No shame if it did but only adds to the 'what might have been' note in his file.
  6. Stands to reason people will object to such a large development on their doorstep. These same people would probably be bitching and moaning if they were to build it down the beach and the Seaton locals were objecting. NIMBY-ism will always be around. The worrying thing is it is now been taken to another level with recent cases such as the school in england having to stagger its breaktimes and ban all hard-ball games from the playground because local residents complained about noise levels. Another school has had to install a soundproof fence. Or the Golf Course (think it was cardross) who had to move its 18th hole after a housing development was built nearby and the new residents (who knew fine well there was a Golf course next to them when they bought it) took them to court over fears of damage to their property and fucking won? These are the same cunts who move to the coast then demand all seagulls are killed or to next to a farm and demand the cockeral be put down because they wake them up in the morning. Probably the only reason the residents of the flats surrounding pittodrie havent tried something like that is because they place is dead.
  7. March 2006 Dunedin New Zealand Backpackers challenge match - Scotland vs the world Ask a stupid question etc etc Well known fact I dont rate Jess aswell as several other better known players. Accept that I (ERGO ME) dont think he was that big a deal and move on. Unless FIFA have declared me the sole authority on the abiity of all players behind my back if should not concern you Perhaps if I had taken an interest in football before 1993 Id see things differently but its not the case. I can only gather from the responses that the subject was not brought up in the interview
  8. Why wouldnt we have got a fee for him? His prime (which I missed) was before the bosman rule and Parma werent sniffing about when he was under contract in 1996 and went to Coventry for £1.5million. Considering we paid about £600k to have him back a year later it would have probably been better for both teams if Strachan & Coventry had just given us £900k out of the goodness of their hearts. I wonder how much we will be paying Strachan and Co to take lee miller back in janaury?
  9. So did he finally reveal the moment he reached his full potential? was it being relegated with Bradford? Notts forest? or helping get Northampton to 3rd division football
  10. 2 players sent off in the space of 3mins before half an hour had been played. one of those reds resulted in a penalty and the floodgates opened
  11. typical old firm fan then. Only loyal to the team that wins the league that season
  12. Just to say the period for public representations expired on the 9th. Being cynical Im presuming Aberdeen city council much like edinburgh do not publish these representations (cant believe there havent been comments/ objections) so we will have to wait and see what the press (or donstalk contacts) dig up. Not holding my breath for a quick decision considering we have been waiting 3months for another council's planning dept to make a decision on a small shop extension because of one councilor using his 'friends' in other departments to delay the planning officer. No doubt there will be other people who have friends within Aberdeen city council who want the land for something else.
  13. Lets see now 7points Scored 7 (4 in one game) Conceided 5 this time last season 8points scored 5 (3 in one game) Conceided 3 Perhaps if we are still in the cup on Thursday morning we can say its a slight improvement?
  14. 1-0 Kilmarnock Sounds like they have had celtic pinned back the entire first 14mins.

  16. if thats based on experience you must know some pig ignorant people.
  17. we playing against our first team?
  18. Just seen the 'highlights' (note they didnt include our chance in the first minute or Uniteds dis-allowed goal....but hey they werent worthy of seeing again) I trust Mcghee will be retracking his claim of Howard being 'distracted' because of a foul. Only distraction was Howard decided the best way to catch a cross was to get a piggyback from an unsuspecting Iffel.
  19. The chance for the 1st was created on the left wing. One pass and a huge gap opened up because our 4 centre backs were too busy doing nothing in the centre. Quick side step, shoot, block, falls to united striker and goal The second once. As I recall it came from a corner won from an almost identical conter attack down our left wing. The 3rd. Well bugger me, an attack on our left wing and the boy goes down at the edge of the penalty area.
  20. BBC have out 5-3 win as this weeks classic match http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/scot_prem/8986085.stm
