  1. How much more than 15k? It was only 17 years ago out average crowd was 15k and we sold out for every old firm match. Then television coverage went through the roof and the clubs started charging over £20 to watch us pay st mirren or livingston. lack of ambition would be to propose a stadium which would have a finished capacity of 15000. Building one that is 15k with the potential for a quick extension to 20k in a few years should we start selling out would be the cautious dare I say sensible option. Building a 20k stadium when crowds are falling all over the country (Even the Huns and tic are about 10k down) is living in denial as far as im concerned
  2. PSV 2-0 up on Benfica after only 25mins 3-0 is enough to put them through Think Braga just had a player sent off too The dream of 3 portuguese teams in the semi-finals possibly coming to an end? Porto are already through after humping spartak 5-2
  3. I gave it a 2 but that is probably down to my feelings about the whole club at the moment. I cant remember the last time I even bothered to watch the highlights on the BBC web page. Personally i think they have actually made it too big to begin with. It is too small to host something like the UEFA cup final, There is no chance of us getting our act together to put a proper bid in the the Euros, Scotland seem to be permanantly based at Hampden now except for the odd friendly which could be played at any SPL (and some division 1 grounds), and because of Aberdeens location its only chance of being a league cup semi-final ground would be if Caley played St Johnstone. With our average crowd dangerously close to (not already) below the 10000 mark and scottish football getting worse by the season Im concerned we might end up like Darlington. Id have made the new stadium 15000 max to start with clear plans on how it could be expanded to 20000 or more should it be required)
  4. No it aint
  5. or only one person is working today and its the work experience kid
  6. Perhaps its a social issue? To me it seems these days it doesnt matter what you do for a living, only how much money you earn and how much 'bling' you accumulate. Therefore many people no longer have any pride in what they do or give a fuck what pople think of their efforts.
  7. If they lose their next 2 games and St mirren pick up a Point they are gone
  8. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-tyne-13004471 Fuck sake. Unless Cisse (or whoever it was) deliberately targeted them as some sort of personal vendetta this is really getting silly now. Didnt someone try to sue middlesborough a couple a years ago because other fans around them wouldnt stop singing during the match?
  9. Will it be schalke's year? would be great to see Raul shafting Real Madrid in the final
  10. 3hrs not a bit too much? Still better than Phil Kay's 35minute set I paid £15 a ticket for back in 1998 (yes 35minutes of which almost 10mins was spent running around the stage going on about how much room he had)
  11. what? You mean make a big fuss, hand out bans then just back down when celtic and Rangers lawyers turn up? Wasnt televised so no politician will give a fuck about aberdeen or motherwell
  12. Sounds about right conisdering what they did. Notice that Cheltenham got humped 8-1. Still havent found another bunch of cunts who lose 9 goals in a single game
  13. Ever wonder where their hordes would disappear to if they did vanish? Would Firhill suddenly be sold out every week?

  15. just looked him up on wikipedia. Hasnt been updated recently
  16. You mean the semi-final that Porto were alleged to have bribed the referee? In the same season Roma are meant to have bribed the ref in their semi with the arabs.
  17. Perhaps its just me but I got the impression they were making out United winning the League was a bigger achievement than us winning the Cup winners cup & scottish cup.
  18. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/12860198.stm Really emphasises the decline in scottish football when the manager of an established SPL team is being touted for a club heading to league 2 next season. Has anyone here ever been to scunthorpe?
  19. As if the Broxden Roundabout wasnt bad enough between 430-630pm. Police are really going to enjoy that one
  20. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/b/brighton/9432161.stm Brighton's new stadium apparenlty ready in time for the start of next season
  21. Depends if Hamilton pull their finger out
  22. Now that is something all clubs should have started doing the moment Sky signed its first TV deal with the SPL
  23. Someone want to start a thread about Gavin Swankie and see how long it takes for Charlie Allan to write a similar article?
  24. Fuck sake
