Not really that experienced in Michael macintyres stuff but as I recall his observational humour is based on general stuff in society which could happen to anyone. Pick up a copy of the metro and make a joke. My experience of Connolly is most of his observational humour comes from his actual experiences or from those who were/are close to him. I predict Macintyre will follow the Lee Evans path and gradually fade away from the limelight (but without the movie career).

West Ham are also suggesting they will be selling off cheap tickets to schools etc so they can at least give it a good go at filling the stadium (Upton Park only holds 35000) There are also apparenlty FA and premier league rules about bigger clubs moving into areas with established clubs so whilst the olympic lot have given them the backing they still need consent from the FA etc to move there.
