  1. Dunno about you but im looking for someone that will improve on Calderwoods showing Not just keep it ticking over
  2. Brighton is his only genuine success??? 1st season: Wins the legue 1 playoff- Promotion 2nd season:Gets them to finish 20th out of 24 (Highest league finish in many years it may be but a success?) 3rd season: Relegated back to League 1 4th season: Sacked after 3 straight defeats Id put taking a cash strapped, fresh from administration stuggling SPL team to 3rd place in 1 season as more successful than that. And I still dont think he is the right man for the job. Perhaps if he and Eric Black team up I might be won over but then again perhaps not If we are choosing managers based on similar success to Mcghee's brighton record then we may aswell have Roy Aitken back
  3. Or if we do it might be someone worth having
  4. Said individual has informed me he 'believes McGhee is Pittodrie bound'
  5. And 5th in a league of 12 last season and 9th in a league of 12 the season before
  6. At least our players arent all mouth and actually get stuck in
  7. In my experience mr Wood only throws money away on his Kids business exploits. So unless we can get his son involved in AFC then he isnt going to follow milnes example and hand over cash for no return
  8. Where have millwall been since he left? FA Cup final and UEFA Cup Where did leicester go when he left Back to the premiership, 2 league cups, UEFA Cup Where did wolves go when he left? The Premiership Brighton 20th place in a league of 24 impresses you? Motherwell ooh boo hoo they lost some players. Thats why they couldnt make it into the top 6 again . Calderwood of course never lost Anderson, Smith, Nicolson, Miller, Hart or anyone else. I dont wish to doubt your experience of football management but putting all yer faith in someone who has done less than Jimmy Calderwood doesnt strike you as a bit misguided?
  9. now theres a name from the past anyway I have been informed in the past by someone particularly close to Mr McGhee that there are only 2 jobs that he would leave motherwell for - Us and the Tic. Personally I hope he goes to the latter but im with Mizer. Id be very susrprised if he went there especially before Stuart Baxter has been mentioned
  10. well according to the BBC Until today, when have we ever 'pipped' them to a euro spot on the final day?
  11. Made even more sweet by the fact today was their Centenary day
  12. So long as we are claiming shit id like to be congratulated in that my decision not to go to games from mid february 2009 has resulted in Jimmy Calderwood leaving the club. Some might claim my decision was down to an enforced 4 day week but Im telling you all now it was a protest against the management and AFC and jimmy clearly noticed that I was absent from the terraces and took the only action they could. And it only took 3.5months. Dont be shy now. Some people said my protest had failed but look whats happened.
  13. If yer so adamant that you are not a plastic fan why do you feel the need to justify yourself on here? Smacks of insecurity
  14. ya gotta love a good Train wreck
  15. Think you will find Miller started off as manager that season but was sacked in February just b4 a crunch match with the huns. Aitken took over and Dodds, Shearer and Jim Macluskey(Ref) saw off the huns only for us to be brought right back to earth 6 days later at Ochil View. Luckily with 7 games left something clicked and the great escape took us to the playoffs. Im in a similar boat in that I got into football in the 1993/94 season (Miller's 2nd and last full season as manager) to which we finished 2nd but I cant recall the team setting the heather on fire. Too many draws cost us the title. The next season Mcleish retired and suddenly the team went to pot. I went for Skovdahl just because he actually managed to get us to hampden and into europe on 2 occasions and had us giving Hertha Berlin a right scare, with a team that had been ripped apart by Alex Miller. yes we got hammered by the old firm almost everytime usually by at least 5 but the time so was every other team in the SPL (everyone remembers us getting lumped 7-0 at parkhead but seems to forget motherwell getting lumped 8-1 at fir park by celtic or St Johnstone getting hammered 7-0 at Mcdiarmed by Guivarch and co). He also was in charge during the best day ive ever had at tannadice (5-3). Aitken may have got us a trophy and Deano but he also thought 750k was worth swapping for Brian o Neil
  16. Thats what 2million others were saying in january
  17. I want you to give us a diary of the events that transpired on protest day I want details of numbers involved, acknowledgement from club members, photos and interviews taken from the press. Once you have done all that I shall respond with the tale of the protest which saw Alex miller sacked. I shall then ask an independant body to compare them and give formal reports on the success of both
  18. And America won the 2nd world war single handed
  19. well considering how shite hes being treated down Brum and rumours of a change of managementdown there too id like to see this line up together in the dugout
  20. Yon turkish trialist we had a few seasons back (Riza) came on for Shrewsbury at wembley today only for the another last minute winner in the english playoffs to send him back down to league 2 for another season :hammer: :hammer:
  21. Now thats a job you dont just fall into. I wonder if she will be so chipper when the hooded hordes of Govan and Parkhead are pissing in her back garden?
  22. Cracking match so far I reckon. Bein played at a furious pace Shaks seem to be ripping bremen apart every time they come forward yet bremen also look dangerous on the counter. Adriano missed a real sitter
