P&J: Dons and Wright face anxious wait
tom_widdows replied to mizer's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
I can only presume that said evidence will also see Craigan banned for punching wright in the stomach just before the said alleged headbutt -
not that im biased but the tv replays seem to show Craigan punching Wright in the ribs just before the supposed 'headbutt'

That was the BBC 'SPL as it happens' text coverage. Cant find it on the BBC website now said we had used the classic 'dope a rope' I will go out on a limb and say yesterday was the first premier match I can recall seeing in which I didnt think the opposition would score. there were some 'hearts in mouths' moments after the goal when it appeared motherwell were one on one but out of nowhere one of our defenders woudl appear and stick the boot in. Can anyone recall the 4th official sticking up the injury time board? He seemed to be dossing around with it for ages only to then use it for a well substitute. Back to the old days of playing 'guess how long the ref will allow for us to be shafted''

Supporters Club's Response to OF Tax
tom_widdows replied to glasgow sheep's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
lets put this another way tomorrow its announced that a bunch of parents have gone to government and demanded a 5% cut in their taxes so that they will actuallty take responsibility for the way their kids behave. Otherwise they will simply take no responsibility for their kids assaulting members of the public, stealing cars, vandalism etc etc and it will be up to the police and the government to deal with them. The whole country would be up in arms! No one would say 'ah theres no point doing anything as they have us over a barrel' Rangers and celtic fans have continuously vandalised away sections and the clubs receive no compensation for this (Rugby park when celtic won the title there 2 seasons back springs to mind). However if we actually give them 'protection' money they might actually do something about it (Ill believe that when i see it). These are clubs who in some cases dont even provide seats for away fans? And yet people are saying 'ah what can we do?' -
Supporters Club's Response to OF Tax

Not saying everyone has to do it but I shall be I get the impression everytime the club comes out with suggestions like giving the entire south stand to the old firm that they value the old firm fans more than the home fans. I will quite happily attend all other games against the 9 'real' spl clubs for I dont object to them recieving a percentage of my cash since they are in the same boat as us. Until the fans start reacting then it will continue. I already object to rangers and celtic fans smashing up away sections thoughout the SPL and then having the gall to charge £27 for a seat that doesnt exist behind a pillar at their own stadiums. This whole 'if wont bother them if we boycott the away games as they get their fans in no matter what' attitude isnt the point. 1,000,000 marching on London in protest against the Iraq war didnt stop it but it didnt half put the message out there that the UK Government didnt have the backing of the entire country. A few matches down the line with no away fans will get the press wheels going and show that the fans actually have the bottle to say 'fuck you' In fact I implore all fans to hold on to their cash and use it pack out pittodrie and away sections of tannadice, tynecastle, Douglas Park etc for non old firm games. We all know that in the current financial climate only the old firm will win the SPL so boycott matches against them. I know this will never happen but frankly i think it would be the best thing that ever happened to scottish football. the fans of the real 10 all turning their backs on the old firm and just supporting each other. Away fans are essential to a games atmosphere. Sooner or later the old firm fans would start to complain that no one wants to play with them. -
if its what is online hes just having a go at fergie for daring to say the 1983 gothenburg team was the second best scottish team of all time.

Supporters Club's Response to OF Tax
tom_widdows replied to glasgow sheep's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
I see it as if me and a few thousand more fans of all clubs start boycotting games then the clubs might actually start to see how much money they make from us and actually start taking our opinions seriously At the moment they dont care because TV money is the most important cash cow for them which is why we ended up with monday night football and in the past, 605pm sunday kick offs. But TV money without the fan revenue suddeny isnt as much. Im only one person but frankly I can use the £100-150 a year i spend going to matches against the old firm on better things. -

Well I was bored so i sent one I dont know about anyone else but I am going to boycott all home and away matches with the old firm from now on. I know financially this will probably hurt the club and on the field it might even hurt the team (Ill let the GUASC decide that) but If I do it then maybe a few more will and so on. Personally I think that this press release yer talking about should not just include Aberdeen fans. Id personally would like a link up with fans of the other 9 clubs and see if a mass boycott can be organised. -
Jamie Smith at left-back!
tom_widdows replied to PittodrieGoesBerserk's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
fuck those who decided to have a jolly to holland. The fans invest a great deal of money in the club to produce results on the pitch WHEN IT MATTERS ie league, cup, europe etc. Playing the dutch equivalent of 'banks of dee' with players who are borderline injured is asking for trouble. I seriously doubt that there are any fans who having missed out the zwolle and arnhem games decided to jump on easy jet yesterday of this morning so they could watch us play a dutch amateur side. Play your devils advocat game somewhere else -

surely if there was any sanity in the club it would be a case of Dear dutch amateur team. We have unfortunately suffered a large amount of injuries and as such cannot field a team for tonights friendly. We apologise for your inconvienience etc etc BUT NOOOOOOOOOOOOO we have to try and get the rest of the first team squad on the treatment table What possible sanctions could we be slapped with if we didnt bother turning up? -
Im defining one on one as a situation in which you are clear and have the option of going round the keeper, chipping him, stiking it under him etc. Having thought about it the last time I remember a dons player doing this was May 2006 when John stewart scored against celtic on the last day of the season. In every other 'one on one' situation ive seen since then our striker has always hit it straight at the keepers legs

Oh surprise fucking surprise When was the last time you can recall an aberdeen player scoring from a one on one with the keeper?

THE OFFICIAL: "LET'S ALL LAUGH AT HEARTS"
tom_widdows replied to glasgow sheep's topic in Football Chat
If Clyde 2 are to be believed, the Ugfandan FA have reported hearts to FIFA over refusal to pay compensation of about £120k. Is it to be the case that after 6months hearts will simply offer him back to Uganda in exchange for waiving the fee a la belgian boy 2 seasons back? -
Not so sure about that Last December Al Bangura, 19 year old watford player had his appeal against deportation rejected. Took serious backing from the FIFPro, David Blunkett, the local MP, Elton John and a protest from 18000 Watford and Plymouth Argyle fans before the home office decided he could stay till he got a work permit which he was eventually awarded in mid january.

in a horrific tragedy that affects everyone on the planet Barry Ferguson will miss at the first 8 league games at least because he had a bit of a fall.

Adam Hammill - potential loan signing
tom_widdows replied to Kowalski's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
Theres been talk of this for weeks Apparently it is us and Hibs in for him. Cant see our cuprinol and co getting their act together to get his signature -
my stream got slower and slower till eventually it was about 10mins behind the commentary not that I feel i missed out. Pre -season friendlies are so bad. There was about as much atmosphere there as with the friendly with rapid bucharest a few seasons back (and only 7000 turned up for that) Bit agrieved man u didnt at least lie down for the last minute and let us get a goal. Recall a pre season friendly they had with Wrexham in which they let the welshies score 2 goals in the last minute to claim a draw.
