  1. End of the day - The first cup win in 2 seasons
  2. Dutch cyclist supposedly in intensive care with 3 separate spine factures Just slightly more serious than the 2 broken collarbones suffered by the Italian Guy the day before
  3. Now conscious apparently Crash on the same descent in the men's race yesterday too. Lot of anger about how dangerous the course is and concerns for the 'time trial' which is on the same route (or at least part of it). Sections of it are actually a cobbled footpath which they have added narrow tarmac lanes to the edges. Incidents so far - Road/pontoon collapsed at the sailing/ rowing venue - 2 crashes in the cycling - 1 broken leg in the gymnastics (ok that could happen anywhere) - Serbian rowers capsized in qualifying. Event now delayed due to high winds - Synchronized diving disrupted by sirens outside the venue and music played randomly within the venue
  4. This is fucking appalling. I don't see Rooney fairing any better if this is the sort of service he can rely on. Only cross which has caused any hassles was Shinnie's which no one gambled on. Gut is saying this has 1-0 saints all over it
  5. Who the hell is taking the 'set piece' training? I've yet to see a corner, thrown in or free-kick cause any hassles for the Saints defence? One of my fears for this season is we end up with multiple strikers but only Hayes & McGinn capable of providing any service. One is already injured and the other hasn't had a summer break
  6. Hasn't really grabbed my attention too much....except for this poor fucker https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QclHuNQKFYo
  7. From BBC One word- Bollocks!!! (Extra segregation + unpleasant away fans + unpleasant non-regular home fans+ Games moved for TV) does not equal sell out or even near sell out. I predict the only 'sell out' games featuring the travelling tribute act will be the 1-2 Doncaster Wankfests in Glasgows East End
  8. Be even more gutted if you saw the state of him today. Really sad sight
  9. I dont see why a trip to Ibrox on a midweek night where 3/4 of the ground is shut will suddenly make them say the changes are good for them Anyway much like other premier teams the youth matches are generally played away from the main stadiums Celtic u20s played at Cappielow in the last round Sevco u20s match against Stirling is being played at Forthbank (even though Sevco are the home team) Dons u20s are playing their match at Balmoor
  10. Seems I was getting him mixed up with McGinn.
  11. Well that about sums up the evening. Anyone remember the days when a penalty miss was headline news and yet now supposedly 'lethal' strikers fuck them up fairly regularly. Anyone remember the days when you could actually breath next to an opposition player without the match being stopped and a card shown?
  12. I'd say that's Stockley's card marked for the SPFL season
  13. Unfortunately the new rules state you cant send him off if a penalty is awarded. (No Double punishment) Had the ref not been so whistle happy and let McGinn's goal stand then a red card could have been dished out Rooney has missed quite a few penalties and i had a gut feeling he would bugger it up. Kicking it straight down the middle with no power in such a big match is ludicrous.
  14. Dundalk (Irish Champions) guaranteed a Europa League Group place and are 1 tie away from a Champions league group.
  15. Believe they said they wouldnt put it in Pittodrie - Why spend more money on the place than they need to etc.
  16. Are we getting to the point that anyone who happens to be murdered/ stabbed/ beaten up etc by someone who happens to be non-white or an immigrant is seen as having terrorist links? If so terrorists have definitely won as they don't actually need to do anything other than watch the news and then send an email saying 'aye that was us'. Perhaps I'm too cynical or suspicious but it seems very handy for western governments that the security forces keep finding ISIS flags (even home-made) at the attackers homes. Very simply to create and very easy to 'plant' But i'm a bit of a conspiracy nut
  17. Looks to be a 'stereotypical' high school shooter Supposedly bullied, had told his classmates he would kill them all, receiving psychiatric treatment for depression. Only difference is he chose a shopping centre Find it interesting the news continues to emphasis that children were among the victims as if the situation would be slightly less tragic if only adults had been shot. The pattern seems to be look for 'radicalisation' in every mass murder situation now, especially if the killer happens to have non white skin. Is anyone per chance looking at the sequence of events in this guys life that lead him to finally snap or will that be ignored much like the kids at Columbine? At the moment I keep thinking of the final scenes of the Film 'Higher Learning'

  19. Hibs just cancelled Brondby's away goal and hearts currently 1-0 down at home to the Maltese
  20. Personally my biggest bug bear with the jobs argument is how short sighted it is. There was a Union Rep on Radio Scotland at the weekend harping on about 10000 jobs depending on building these new submarines and how skills will be lost etc etc. A fair argument perhaps but at no point was it asked 'what happens to these jobs when these submarines are finished? I believe it can take up to 14 years to design and build a nuclear submarine but given parts are apparently already being constructed on Rosyth I'm guessing there is now less than 10 years work in this so come 2025 those workers will be left in Limbo again and no one seems to be thinking in terms of a sustainable future for engineering/ manufacturing etc Oil Industry appears to finally be getting its balls kicked (given the amount of money the have paid out to some people (me included) I'm surprised its taken this long) Remains to be seen if Honda, Nissan, Subaru etc stick around if article 50 is ever triggered. And yet the only industry which appeared to have a chance of a future (renewable energy) in which Scotland is supposedly one of the world leaders has had its government subsidies removed. But then again 10 years from now is 2 general elections away so it will be someone else's problem
  21. and be home by next Tuesday?
