  1. BBC now saying the Ref told Levekusen's captain to tell his manager he had been sent off. If true it makes the situation even worse. Yesterday's 'Off the ball' was quite interesting with Michael Stewart and Charlie Richmond as guests. Richmond defended Willie Collum as a ref but not as a person.
  2. Personally I would prefer Glasgow Rangers FC were confined to the history books in a section about the mistakes of society. The disappointment of last Monday nights result was made marginally worse after hibs failed to take advantage Sevco's slip up on the Saturday. I agree on the Kilmarnock front as I have had a chip on my shoulder with them since the 1994/95 season however the Arabs have been grinding on me since their last Scottish cup win (ruined the highland dream) even more so after the league cup semi so I will have a little smile should they eventually drop down. Promotion wise I would like to see Queen of the South come up but I fear it will go as follows Promoted - Blue Meanies & Hibernian (Playoffs) Relegated - Dundee United & Partick Thistle (playoffs)
  3. was he called Wilhelm Collum by any chance?
  4. Apparently should have been 2-3 goals ahead before Celtic woke up in the second half. This included a break away one-on-one which Gordon blocked. YAWN!!!
  5. I can remember lots of games being called off for frozen pitches etc but this season there appears to be a big rise in the number of 'waterlogged pitch postponements. I believe the only premier teams who have not had a home match postponed this season for this are Aberdeen - Grass Ross County - Grass Motherwell ( ) - Grass (occasionally) Hamilton - Artificial Kilmarnock - Artificial I wonder if we will soon see a U-turn from the authorities on their anti- artificial surface chat
  6. League cup final apparently moving back to November next season Could throw up a future pub quiz dispute for the question 'Who won the 2016 Scottish League cup?'
  7. 'Singing sections' do not make sense as they are a mockery of the whole aspect of support. A large crowd is going to be noisy and adding tribalism, a fair serving of intoxication should automatically make it clear you are not going to be sitting in a library. Having designated areas all to easily leads to 'excuse me if you want to sing then go over there, this is the non singing section.'. Can see stewards asking to check your season tickets for a note stating 'this person is allowed to make noise' As for moving the family section to the RDS? Smacks of someone in the marketing department spotting its the only stand with facilities to host extra curricular items such as face painting etc. They want to create an unrivalled atmosphere and yet they want to remove a section of the ground which helps generate what little noise comes out of the dons fans. Move the family section to the Main Stand and hand over the ENTIRE Merkland to the general population. Its low roof is similar to The Shed at Tannadice so the potential for creating noise is clear.
  8. Arabs defeat means Dons are now officially safe from relegation
  9. Dingus & Co down in relegation play off spot 2 points from a possible 18 in 2016 and playing the arabs on Tuesday.
  10. Always great to see Man City lose. Cant stand what they have become
  11. Defenders Andrew Considine 3 Graeme Shinnie 1 Ash Taylor 4 Paul Quinn 1 Shay Logan 4 Midfielders Niall McGinn 12 Kenny McLean 9 Peter Pawlett 2 Johnny Hayes 6 Strikers Adam Rooney 20 David Goodwillie 2 Simon church 6
  12. career record of 41 goals in 238 appearances Darren Mackie was more prolific.
  13. Not just news at 10 Lunchtime news was the same and I suspect the 630pm news was too
  14. Unfortunately they got Hibs. Thats still a big market for them. County v St Johnstone may have sent cockwomble and his cohorts over the edge particularly given they had a 'small' scottish cup final last year. Side-note: The match apparently 'had' to be played at Hampden because other than Ibrox it was the only 'neutral' stadium with a large enough capacity for the demand from 'the best fans in the world' Attendance: 22,130 Easter Road Capacity - 20,421 Pittodrie Capacity - 20,961
  15. League cup semi final shite. Joke that it is in Glasgow for a start but County seem to have forgotten how to defend and seem to be pretending griffiths isnt on the pitch. Really hope this improves.
  16. Editor of the herald said he had nothing to do with it. Came from the a much more senior level (closer to Murdoch) NUJ seemingly taking an interest now
  17. Jack Grimmer today http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/35451758
  18. Good timing that. Prior to last weeks hammering by the arabs, several pundits were bigging him up saying how he was steadying the ship and building for the future.
  19. Please don't say the admins have also been threatened with the loss of £40k of bus company advertisement revenue
  20. Having the highlights on the BBC website before the show even starts makes it pointless If they put it on Saturday night before (even after) match of the day then it may be save-able
