Anybody unhappy about away goals rule being scrapped this season??
-
I can now reveal that we got Rob Wicks to get Jay Emmanuel-Thomas and Christian Ramirez to sign a new home shirt for my pal of nineteen years Wulf. He's leaving to go Poland last week in August. Couldn't have imagined the great and funny reaction we got from arranging it. Made effort so worthwhile. Below is Wulf's response. "These two haven't even played a competitive game together for us yet but based on some aeroplane knowledge I've decided they should be called 'RamJet'. Thinking behind this is if you take each first letter in Jay Emmanuel-Thomas does spell 'Jet' and Christian Ramirez has flown halfway across the world from Houston, Texas to join the new regime hence his first three characters of surname are 'Ram' and I'm sure even you know what a 'RamJet' is on an aeroplane!! Well I do now after our chat earlier this morning!! Also because Christian will be wearing No.9 and Jay No.14 that is why 'Ram' is before 'Jet' in their nickname. You see we must keep numerical consistency at all times!!" I honestly LOVE THIS GUY and will miss him SO MUCH when he leaves to be with his lady Krystyna.

Haar, you would not believe some of the stuff I've had thrown at us over the years. My Mam was in labour for 36 hours with me. We arrived with both fists clenched on their respective side of face. I'm led to believe as a result of this some oxygen starvation, bleed on the brain, then stroke. As if you would deliberately choose a life complicated by said 33% brain injury and cerebral palsy eh!! A lot of my so called friends don't have a clue about our daily struggle. Always feel as though because they don't see aforementioned battle it just doesn't exist in their eyes and I'm milking the situation.

On Wednesday I asked Robert Wicks our commercial director to help me get something nice sorted for a friend who is a fellow Aberdeen supporter of nearly 45 years probably longer actually. There is a reason why we requested what I have. My pal more than anybody has tried to understand what it is like for me living with a two lifelong disabilities 24/7 nearly 42 years now. Whole thing has been processed and is currently in the mail on the way to my flat. Love how the club has assisted us over the years. Think my mate will be shocked but touched by what I've done. Wanted to thank him given a lot of people don't believe I'm disabled with left sided cerebral palsy and a 33% brain injury to boot.

I see Shay has apparently been arrested a second time for drink driving. Not sure what is going on with him at the moment but I hope he comes out the other side a better person. Sad to read about his recent troubles.

Feels like we're turning into the football equivalent of the Harlem Globetrotters!!

Just stumbled across these two videos last day or so. Do Burnley portray us well and is Miles Storey trying to be funny when talking about being pleased with his three minutes of Europa League action??
-
No away goals too right??
-
Slim, am I right in saying UEFA had made the decision quite soon after the draw? I was just thinking about the uproar regarding these 2,500 VIP's allowed to attend Wembley for Euro 2020 Final less than three weeks before our tie in Sweden.
-
Can somebody confirm to me that we ain't allowed to attend game in Sweden.
-
I love how A LOT of the the press mention Brown, Gallagher, Emmanuel-Thomas, Jenks and now Gurr as new signings but forget we tied up Gary Woods for a couple of years!!
-
What are the chances do people think of supporters being allowed to attend any of the two games??
-
Very disappointing bunch in terms of excitement for new season. If I had a choice why not go to Belarus as I love their best female tennis player Victoria Azarenka.
-
For some strange reason his name reminds me of the dart player Terry Jenkins. Can we nickname him 'Bully Bully' too?!?!

During Covid-19 I have done a lot of soul searching. Looking inside myself trying to figure out what is really important to my core. I keep coming back to European Club Football. I have had a look at the qualifiers for inaugural Europa Conference League. Personally think it could be a lot more exciting than Champions League and Europa League because there will be so many decent teams that fancy their chances of winning it. Maybe one day I will get round to writing a book or something which discusses why this topic does mean a lot to me. Something we noticed about 2021-22 North Macedonian entrants. All three clubs begin with same letter and have same amount of characters in their name. Shkupi, Sileks, Struga. Could this be our first piece of inspiration??? It is the sort of detail I know makes us a saddo but I've been reading up on becoming a Monk and a process which intrigues Lee is this idea of concentrating on one specific passion in your goal to achieving happiness and putting all said available energy into it.
-
I see our Lee has joined East Kilbride in the Lowland League. Still say when one had his head screwed on right way was best striker in Scotland. Just a pity this wasn't a regular occurrence. Evening we played FC Copenhagen guy totally UNPLAYABLE!!!! I'm also sure I read somewhere that Josh Walker recently signed for Whitehill Welfare. Amazing to find out how some former players go right down the football chain as they get older.

I replied to Judge Rinder talking about blow up sheep on his talkRADIO show by sending him a tweet about how we are called 'The Sheep' and we sometimes take said object into games with us. He read it out at 14.50 on red clock in bottom left hand corner for those that want a laugh. He really made my day with how he finished his chat.

Wouldn't worry people I was given some verbal abuse online on club's official Twitter account after our Scottish Cup loss to Dundee United. All I'd done was say we were maybe going to give up on the team and football in general after 30 years as have become quite disillusioned with things for a few seasons now. Got a call at flat from said support liaison officer asking if one was alright and if we wanted help in getting the police involved. Appreciated concern but told lady leave these people to rot in their bedroom or wherever it is they crawl out of and karma will hopefully catch up on all those who were pretty disgusting toward me. Should be some sort of legislation brought in to jail people.

I've been watching a few of the above last wee while and something has always struck me about folk who post Aberdeen related stuff. Pretty much all the video is made up of moments against Rangers and Celtic. Does this kind of show a narrow minded mindset the support has? There's no point succeeding against the Old Firm in Last 16 of the Scottish Cup if you're then going to lose the Semi-Final to say St.Johnstone but at least we knocked out Celtic or Rangers to that point is the feeling I always get from fans. I just don't know guys.
-
Rico, we had the Colombian goalkeeper DAVID GONZALEZ too!! Juan Cobian and Fernando Pasquinelli also.
-
Wasn't just Stevie May and Craig Bryson celebrating a Cup Double with St.Johnstone less than 12 months after exiting Pittodrie. I see Robert Milsom has secured promotion to English League Two with Sutton United for first time in club's history!! Even scored their first goal today during some 3-0 win over Hartlepool United. Always like to see some of our former players do well. I was actually quite chuffed Perth side achieved said accolade as we know Liam Craig's father Peter who lives just six miles from me. It is nice as we were saying to him yesterday that Liam finally has something to show for his career.
-
Surely Brian Grant was our best player on park today. Looking well for somebody nearly 57.

Below post is inspired by quote..."Variety is the spice of life." This whole European Super League nonsense has reminded myself of both the ties in early nineties which I wasn't allowed to attend because we had school in morning and lived four hours away then those matches I've been able to enjoy in said flesh since 2007. Still stand by belief aforementioned continental competition whether we're included or not especially given all these new countries around globe is probably my biggest life passion. Just yesterday one looked through all them teams who won Champions League or UEFA Cup/Europa League and stumbled across a few really cool statistics about sides being runners-up. Marseille reached UEFA Cup Final having drawn ALL FIVE of their away games against Sigma Olomouc, Werder Bremen, Monaco, Celta Vigo, Bologna before losing to Parma. Werder Bremen themselves in reaching 2009 UEFA Cup Final via Champions League Group Stage drew their SIX AWAY GAMES against Inter Milan, Panathinaikos, Anorthosis Famagusta, AC Milan, St.Etienne, Udinese, and in Semi Final which saw six goals with Hamburg scored still only won on away goals rule as they eventually lost to Shakhtar Donetsk. I love fact the supporters of these clubs and I'm sure if we look deeper they'll be similar stories never saw their heroes lose on road until Final itself. I'm sure Bayern Munich won all six of their away games in winning UEFA Cup in 1996. Lokomotiv Moscow, Raith Rovers, Benfica, Nottingham Forest, Barcelona, Bordeaux in their two legged Final said victims. However do any of you have any away day memories from my time as a supporter you'd like to share? So from when we played BK 1903 in 1991 to HNK Rijeka second time around?? I've heard a couple of people talk about Barry Town tie being very memorable. I'm mean over last 30 years we've had some great locations to visit in Reyjavik, Turin, Riga, Vilnius, Athens, Madrid, Munich, Larnaca, Rovaniemi, Tbilisi naming just a few familiar faces. Personally I'd have loved to take in Skopje, Rijeka, Almaty 2015, if having said money.

Has Joe Lewis ever been dropped??? Neil Alexander never appeared for us yeah, Danny Rogers only played when he was suspended following a red card at Ibrox if memory does serve me right and Tomas Cerny due to an injury, same with Gary Woods yesterday. I'm sure on loan Freddie Woodman just played til Joe returned once again. Out of curiosity do unused substitutions get a win bonus as that is what made me ask question in first place with Gary having to wait awhile for his first taste of action.
