  1. Big Al, I mentioned him in my book right??
  2. So do we class any of the squad other than Andrew Considine from 2007-08 season when making UEFA Cup Last 32 as a legend or is it based around winning trophies??
  3. Will I see anybody in my lifetime hit a century at the club?? Been a supporter since 1991 so I'm guessing Eoin Jess, Adam Rooney, Duncan Shearer, Billy Dodds, Scott Booth, Darren Mackie are the only ones I've seen hit fifty plus nevermind the magical number of which I talk about.
  4. Before leaving for South Korea I was convinced our Niall was going to be the first Aberdeen player I'd see reaching 100 goals for the club. Now I'm not so sure. Discuss.
  5. What how to find the three Aberdeen fans who looked after me?!?!?!
  6. I'm just wondering and this is a long shot but back on Saturday August 4th 2007 three Aberdeen fans looked after me before and after our 1-0 loss to Dundee United. I believe their names began with a D, P, S, as I called them Dex, Pedro, Silky in a story we wrote about that day as it took an unexpected turn after we declined their offer to go back to Aberdeen with them to drown our sorrows. They took me to The Centenary Bar before game and Old Bank Bar before train home where I bought a round for us all as a thank you. I also could have got picked up by my Mam at Waverley as she was in Western General Hospital with my step-father but getting back to Scottish Borders incorporated me helping an American girl get to Duns (where I still live) who was stranded in Edinburgh Bus Station. She was only part of my life for just over three hours but we wrote a story called 'phiLEEdelphia' based on this experience as she was from West Chester, Philadelphia. Lee was obviously stuck in a situation with a girl from said state. I thought one adding an extra 'e' was quite cool of us. She was only 20 years old and myself 27 years old. Eleven years after said random meeting she married a cricketer called Liam Plunkett who played for Durham and would go on to become a 2019 World Cup Winner!! She was in early stages of dating him when we met although only found that out after reconnecting on Facebook two years after initial bonding. This story took me about six days to compile and is around 4,500 words long but do I update story to include she would go on to marry a famous sportsman?? It nearly got published in 2013 where a potential second book deal was offered to me. I turned it down after publisher got funny with us regarding editing deadline as was watching Mam die from Secondary Lung Secondary Brain Cancer at time.
  7. I was thinking about some of these stupid results lately including Manchester City 2 v 5 Leicester City (three penalties to The Foxes I might add), Manchester United 1 v 6 Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa 7 v 2 Liverpool to name just three. Is the lack of crowd in any way responsible for the many U-12's goal count that are cropping up?? Wonder whether all these VAR decision for penalties, disallowed goals, red cards, is also influenced by fact there are no supporters shouting abuse at the officials so they feel like they can give them more freely?? Honestly HATE football right now even though we're getting some decent points on table at present moment. I'm feeling very detached from my team it must be said. I wish they'd just have cancelled all football til us lot were allowed back in. Feels like an exclusive gentleman club scenario presently. Not good for me.
  8. Don't know about anybody else but since Covid-19 Chaos got ramped up even further last few week my mental health has started suffering once again. Around September 15th for a reason unknown to me we decided I'd phone Talk Radio where I had some very short chat regarding their 10pm - 1am host Cristo Foufas. Chatted about how people get pronunciation of words so wrong and use grammar generally speaking said silly way. However conversation made one snap out from our really daft mood we'd been in. Actually enjoyed myself on air. Following that first communication I've made a further four call toward Cristo ranging around twelve to twenty minutes each. Thoroughly loved them all. Below is link where early Saturday morning chat started at 00:10am where SeeBass began by thanking Mr Foufas as his employer mentioned Aberdeen beating St.Mirren during news bulletin. Never expected it you see. Let Lee know what folk think!!
  9. Dundalk have qualified for the Group Stages tonight for second time in four years. We should be embarrassed my fellow Dandies.
  10. Feels like whether it is McGeough or Cosgrove potentially on the way out the Covid-19 Eight are slowly but surely getting moved on quietly. Bryson having his contract ripped up McKenna sold for peanuts. Anderson and Devlin not looking like getting a game anytime soon plus Kennedy being used sparingly. I for one if this is true welcome everything that is apparently unfolding. I'm having nobody embarrass my football team global pandemic happening or not.
  11. I was looking at Derek's away record in Europe and from seventeen ties he's only won SEVEN!! I'd say only Groningen and HNK Rijeka first time around are worth mentioning. Losing in Cyprus was unforgivable and despite getting through against Luxembourg lot defeat very cringeworthy. Maribor were there for taking too. Can just about live where a narrow loss in Kazakhstan concerned given travel squad had to do. San Sebastian masterclass probably expected. Burnley doing us in extra-time possibly better than anyone thought. Fundamentally is our lack of positivity on one's travels where problem ultimately lies? Lost by a goal to Kairat Almaty, Maribor, Apollon Limassol, Sporting Lisbon and given said issues with latter team all winnable ties for me. We should have had four shots at Play-Off Round. We got none.
  12. If Dundalk beat Faroese friends KI Klaksvik next week and make Group Stage for second time in four years I might cry and stop supporting Aberdeen. I know they've only got decent results in Iceland, Belarus in 2016, then Andorra, Moldova, over a one legged format 2020 but still it is very embarrassing whichever team in this tie makes it. Surely KI would be first side from their country to make promised land and yes they got a lucky break when Slovan Bratislava were kicked out for a Covid-19 breach but they've given themselves a chance in Ireland no matter what.
  13. Republic of Ireland's Dundalk are at Home to KI Klaksvik from Faroe Islands for a place in Group Stage. How can this be acceptable from an Aberdeen point of view?!?!?!
  14. I know somebody who has got £500 on us to win in ninety minutes. They have one at 6.75 in their currency.
  15. Anybody tell me how many of his sixteen caps have been from the start of a game and in a competitive setting?? I personally don't think you should count friendlies, B' games, these stupid Nations League encounters. Too many get recognised that don't deserve it.
  16. Boys if it had been a normal year as I've said to Robert Wicks at club major likelihood is we wouldn't have got NSI Runavik, Viking Stavanger, Sporting Lisbon or whoever later today as draw has been regionilised to cut down on travel. Calm down with all the what a great trip we've missed out on as all false!!!
  17. I'm not counting it myself given the stupid circumstances we're playing in right now but did I see somewhere that tonight a victory would mean Derek McInnes has more away victories in Europe than Sir Alex Ferguson now??
  18. I think all three ties against Kairat Almaty, Maribor, Apollon Limassol were very winnable and we should have had at least two from three bite at Play-Off Round. What did other people think were major differences to us winning against then losing four years apart with HNK Rijeka?? Seems last year is a puzzling loss especially in Croatia. I'll be delighted if we make Sporting Lisbon tie later but I'm just not feeling football generally speaking right now without any supporters. I hate one legged crap too. Plus it has been regionalised meaning any normal year and we probably wouldn't have got the teams we have nevermind Portuguese mob lying in wait. Play-Off Round gets drawn tomorrow for playing 1st October right? Let us hope we at least give ourselves chance of being in hat tonight. Our other friends FC Copenhagen left it very late but somebody I know had £4,000 on them to win outright against IFK Gotenborg so I'm pleased somebody has had a decent end to their day.
  19. Whatever happened to the boy Campanile who scored winner in Energy Cities Community Cup against Viking FK in 2013???
  20. I've just had a difference of opinion with somebody at club over phone as to what counts as a genuine record. For me it is four years since we beat Celtic in a competitive game as I don't count winning 1-0 at Parkhead on last day of 2017-18 season as Celtic had nothing to play for having won league. Person I spoke to think it does matter. Whose side do you side with??
  21. I'm taking reason Mr Logan announced his future business venture while still at club does mean he will be leaving football behind at end of his current contract??
  22. Can somebody explain the Europa Conference League which starts next season and is actually under Europa League in terms of importance!!! I think it is kind of like an excuse to bring Cup Winners Cup back but in a league format. Hopefully we might be able to attend these games this time 2021 if we've qualified.
  23. I have to keep reminding myself this year's qualifying phase isn't like any normal one and not just because games are single legged but also the draw itself would have been so much different if not regionalised. That is why I'm taking it all with a pinch of salt win, lose. draw. I'll be delighted if we could beat Viking Stavanger, Sporting Lisbon then whoever in Play-Off to reach Group Stages but I'm treating whole journey as a glorified preseason given us supporters aren't able to attend also.
  24. Can anybody confirm our European squad as I saw online a few days ago that Dean Campbell wasn't in the twenty-five but he was on bench last night?
  25. You know I'm in a real funny place right now when it comes to my football and how important it is especially with not being able to attend a match like tonight. Last Friday I learned of the death of a girl we used to be a neighbour of for 15 years til 2014 before she moved away to be with a bloke. I'd grown up from being a 19 year old boy into a 34 year old man alongside one and was even in a sexual relationship with her for nearly eight years between 2005 and 2013. I've not got confirmation of cause of death but utterly GUTTED!! Wasn't Covid-19 though. Only 49 years old too. She still worked in same town after leaving block but changed address to another part of Scottish Borders yet never really acknowledged us ever again when seeing each other in Market Square or at local Co-op which hurt so much. Lost only other lady to love me back in April albeit we hadn't spoken for about 18 years til December 2019. She died in her sleep aged just 38 years old. Could do with the team really stepping up next few months and putting a smile back on my face as I'm bloody struggling to make sense of these last four months. Sorry for going off majorly off topic here.
