  1. Do I dare bring up how we struggled for a win at home to Sporting Circle Fola Esch in 2016??? Really don't know what to expect for tomorrow night. Prefer seeing us up against teams we aren't expected to beat as I think it makes for a better game. Thought we did really well back in day to hold Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk (first European game), Lokomotiv Moscow, Bayern Munich to a draw and FC Copenhagen win does speak for itself. Personally our three drawn matches at Home with FK Shkendija, HNK Rijeka, Kairat Almaty have been my favourite campaign witnessed 'Live' as it felt as though we'd had a group stage type experience given quality of opposition faced. Mind if Danny Rogers hadn't made that important late save round post where Macedonian tie was concerned wouldn't have seen two very decent comebacks against Croats and Kazakh's. Think going 2-0 and 1-0 down respectively and salvaging something on evening really meant a lot to me considering effort we make to attend from Scottish Borders. Loved how Groningen, Maribor, Siroki Brijeg, Burnley couldn't beat one at Pittodrie. Thought we deserved the victories against Apollon Limassol and Rovaniemen Palloseura but glad we didn't hammer the Cypriot and Finnish sides as I felt they were pretty competent. Only real game I have beef with is Sigma Olomouc. That sort of result you'd expect from Bayern Munch coming to town but not a Czech Republic outfit. Not sure I'll ever get over it. I think Valur in 1993 during Cup Winners Cup journey was our initial introduction into European escapades.
  2. Rico, what Daugava Riga bet against themselves when we played them?? Never heard that before!! I knew one had folded a year after our tie.
  3. Are they semi-professional? Lad up front scored a hat-trick against Barry Town United. He's Faroese All Time Top Scorer with nearly 200 goals. Remember Skonto Riga and Bohemians home results which still haunt me to this day. Even Sigma Olomouc is a dagger to my heart but as I said to Robert Wicks today if we don't make second round qualifying we deserve to be banned from European competition for at least a decade.
  4. Don't know if any of you watched the Snooker last fortnight or so but I enjoyed it without the crowd. When a phone goes off while a player is on said shot or somebody is trying to take a picture it does BOIL MY BLOOD!! I've only been a proper Ronnie O'Sullivan fan since shortly before 2012 World Championships and got (8/1) on him when winning that year and then again as he defended title 2013 (£12.50 e/w 1-2, 1/2 odds both times) after a whole season off tour. Usually been the favourite between 2015 and 2019 so haven't done guy much since. Just do a tournament like The Masters (picked up winnings at (7/2) 2014 Mark Selby and (3/1) 2016 Barry Hawkins but missed out 2017 Joe Perry as pretty much stopped betting for two years) or UK Championship (got (100/30) 2014 Judd Trump Final, (4/1) 2017 Shaun Murphy Final, (3/1) 2018 Mark Allen Final) which I can watch throughout without needing SKY and never go above a £30 stake. Does the fact he had none of said razzmatazz where a normal Crucible atmosphere concerned devalue his achievement Sunday evening?????? As seen below secured (9/2) on him November 2019 which I'm obviously delighted with despite a small £92.81 profit.
  5. Given the fact we don't know when any of us will be allowed back inside a stadium to watch our team again, said Covid-19 scandal from a fortnight ago, European adventure however long it shall last being just one game per round can anybody fill me with enthusiasm for upcoming season as I can't be bothered with it!!! Lost interest which one don't like. Closed door action is worst spectacle we've ever seen and I'd rather game was halted until supporters are back for good and at full capacity.
  6. How do I delete my previous post can't see the option??
  7. I'd like the Faroese team but can't see it even though they're playing at Home against Barry Town United. I hate repeated history so require variety in my life. Fact Hibernian played them two year ago is another reason why we'd prefer either Breidablik, Glentoran, HB Torshavn!!! Blame our 33% brain injury from birth for such nonsense spouted. Got a very strange reply where our admission on club Facebook page about feeling gutted game wasn't going to be said 20th Home European match????
  8. Tom, I knew about this list just I'd seen something somewhere that some of those teams wouldn't be potential opponents because of new air travel rules so wasn't sure which if true would be ruled out. Watch this will be going to Northern Ireland or Wales anyhow if drawn away!! I'd like to go play Sirens of Malta or Noah of Armenia sounds quite biblical if getting through against them!!
  9. Does anybody know who we could potentially get on Monday? I'm a bit gutted it is only one leg and even if we were drawn at Pittodrie that I'm missing out on my 20th European match. I've heard somewhere there will be certain teams from various countries avoided because of the travel restriction is that right??
  10. Must admit Nicholson's equaliser and Clark's winner both at Tynecastle one was there both times and utterly brilliant as one off moments. Also attended FC Copenhagen match which I wish we could relive every day. One didn't mention 2-2 Bayern Munich draw as that is a personal memory nobody will really understand especially if they've had benefit of being around in 1983 when actually beating them.
  11. I was watching that Decade Of The Moment 2010-19 video again last few days and thought to myself was the decade before 2000-09 not a bit of a non event in many respects?? Can anybody give me ten to fifteen moments from that era which would do it justice??
  12. I've just got quite emotional when our Commercial Director Robert Wicks in a Twitter direct message said he was 'humbled' by the length I go to support my team. He asked if one could give us a phone call so don't know what this will be about.
  13. I saw this goal again the other night and have never noticed how cool Anthony O'Connor's reaction to James Maddison's late winner is. You know quite arrogant; "That was always going in."
  14. At least with Sensible World Of Soccer you were allowed a few more in the overall squad number but just got the really old Sega Mega Drive version from 1992 on the PC not that we play it all that much.
  15. As everybody does know only sixteen players allowed on this game. I have Lewis and Cerny as my keeper option with Logan, Considine, McKenna, Taylor, Devlin, Hernandez as defending pool. Only four allowed in midfield including Hedges, Ojo, Bryson, Ferguson and even then we had to put McGeouch with McGinn, Cosgrove, Main as an attacking force. Who do I delete for Jonny Hayes????????
  16. Between getting upto speed fitness wise and now Covid-19 our Venezuelan international hasn't had the best start to his Aberdeen career. Are we ever going to see him flourish??
  17. Was the key word from Cormack not 'temporary'? I think once this is over the lads will be rewarded in a way seen fit for such a decent bunch.
  18. Big Al, I nearly got my second short stories book published in 2012/13 called 'Girl Power' that was about 55 pages long and talked about my lack of success with opposite sex. Albeit there was a tale or two with a slight twist on the 'female' theme. Mental Health publisher Chipmunka were getting a bit funny with me about getting final edit in when watching my Mam die which I didn't appreciate so one pulled it from them. Not bothered looking for another publisher since given everything that has went on. As for bizarre title years ago I was talking to a lad in bookies who couldn't believe I was going to Aberdeen twice in two days for our last two home league fixtures. I replied; "You know me John I'd travel from Timbuktu to the Amazon Rainforest to watch my team if that was what was required."
  19. I'm thinking we would like to explore how my relationship with the club has changed since I lost my Mam seven years ago?? Even have a rough title for it already; "From Timbuktu To The Amazon Rainforest". What do you all think????
  20. I was telling him about how we played in Lapland last year and we've been treated to some lovely countries like Spain, Croatia, Latvia, Cyprus, Georgia and BURNLEY IN LANCASHIRE!! Pity we probably won't get chance to experience another new place or two later this year if awarded Europa League Qualifying spot for finishing fourth. Big Al, Last twelve and a bit weeks have been BRUTAL for me it has to be said. Especially living alone and self isolating despite not showing any symptoms. Some very dark moments indeed. Haven't really had anybody check in with me other than one phone call in April from Berwickshire Wheels who take me to the hospital a lot, three calls via Momentum a brain injury charity one has had help off last four or five year. GP called just twice and long lost brother's ex-wife Beverley contacted us thrice but he himself hasn't bothered!!! Local Housing Association only got in touch last week. Couple of text messages from Kev my usual taxi driver. However really disappointed in response from family and friends. Nobody has off their own back helped or contacted SeeBass.
  21. Given this "Coronavirus Chaos" I've been struggling alone both physically and emotionally lately so phoned Breathing Space and was enthralling the lad we spoke with about our European adventures last seven years and how there are many aspects of the journey in this sphere that fascinate me. Do we still hold the record regarding longest distance travelled for a European game especially one that wasn't even in mainland Europe??
  22. Donsdaft, my friend Dave works for IT Department at East Lothian Council and has been responsible alongside another of his colleagues for looking after their whole network from home while Coronavirus Chaos been happening. Pity you didn't live close to me!! He built me a new computer which I'm so pleased with.
  23. Talking of Stewart McKimmie and Euro 1992 why was he given No.9 shirt as a squad number?!?!
  24. If the club charge £50 for a shirt how much of that do they actually get to put toward our overall bank balance??
  25. See in terms of European football. Does this quarantine thing mean clubs would have to be in some other country a fortnight before their away leg??
