  1. Always feel the younger lot we have at club never get a fair crack of whip. Just looking over many a stat this season. Against Old Firm we have a 19 year old Bruce Anderson who salvaged us said draw at home to Rangers, Scott McKenna early twenties netting winner in reverse fixture, Lewis Ferguson (19) sending us to League Cup Final after heading crucial Semi-Final goal plus his strike albeit a losing one versus Celtic. I mean in such short space of time Ferguson has scored vital goals including Kilmarnock away, Pittodrie victory over Livingston, plus sending Burnley tie into extra-time. Even Sam Cosgrove netted some double where last match with Govan outfit were concerned admittedly it didn't see one win anything overall. Seventeen year old Dean Campbell also nicked winning goal Almondvale way. Guess what I'm maybe asking is are we getting enough from our 'Old Guard'???
  2. Not for the first time this season our No.19 got me out of trouble with said bet today. Lost £10 on Aberdeen 4-2 (80/1), £8 Sam Cosgrove First Goal (11/4) and £10 Niall McGinn Last Goal (17/2) before £9.50 Loon Ferguson Anytime Scorer (9/2).
  3. What is the general consensus regarding this topic?? I don't mind female opinion on a game I'm watching just don't think it does work when both men and women are on panel. Sportscene on a Saturday early evening extremely excruciating to watch.
  4. There is many an aspect of our beautiful game which does anger me but was thinking about Allan McGregor incident and wondered whether we as a society need to grow up very quickly. I still can't get my head around whole coin throwing then attempted assault on Neil Lennon at Tynecastle nor any other unsavoury sight in Scottish football last few year. Those that play plus them who watch are setting said bad example for many young people yet sadly can't see this ever changing. I often think walking away from sport might be good for SeeBass long term.
  5. Our dodgy penalty cost me £120 as had £12 on 3-1 at (10/1). Gary Mackay-Steven missing his against Hibernian last week did me over for £264 as also had £12 on 3-1 Easter Road (22/1). I get so frustrated at how some of my selections go down with us. Beginning to think I'm cursed. Predicted six goals in Manchester City versus Chelsea game except did £10 (50/1) on 4-2 not 6-0!!!
  6. I actually backed the winner in 2013 Auroras Encore £5 e/w at (66/1) and donated £422.50 winnings to palliative care place The Margaret Kerr Unit who looked after my Mam before she passed away four days on from Grand National that same year. Unbeknown to me at time the victorious jockey Ryan Mania lived about three miles outside Melrose where this building was built so he helped one present a cheque and did a piece for local rag giving him some free exposure. Retired less than 12 months later aged middle twenties citing a lack of drive having won biggest race there is in sport itself.
  7. Anybody seen "The Brokenwood Mysteries" which Drama have shown from the beginning?? Believe this New Zealand crime show is about to start fifth season soon enough. Keep forgetting to tune in but those we have watched intrigue me rather than entertain one. Still working out if programme as a whole is any good!!
  8. Have I missed something but I thought we already had a female side in Second Division?? I take it this team wasn't connected to the club as a whole??
  9. I'm obviously delighted he has started scoring but looking at the teams Sam has scored against includes St.Mirren x 3, Hamilton Academical x 2, Dundee x 2 and Livingston once with penalties versus Celtic and Heart Of Midlothian it is really only opener against our Gorgie friends I would say is his most important contribution. Surely we should now be expecting him to be grabbing goals when going to Easter Road, Rugby Park, Tynecastle, McDiarmid Park and the like.
  10. Got confirmation this morning via an email that Chisholm Bookmaker are honouring my £9.50 bet at (9/2) for Lewis Ferguson Anytime Scorer. Of course he won't net every time he does play his former team but just thought I'd risk half of his shirt number for his first return to said old home ground. £42.75 profit ain't a bad sum we're collecting but did lose £12 on predicting a 3-1 Aberdeen victory so only really thirty pounds up.
  11. I have had to send an email with a picture of the slip itself as some attachment explaining why we know it is said winning bet. Still waiting on Chisholm Bookmaker response.
  12. BBC Sport website claiming Greg Stewart has got it!! Greg is nowhere near the goalline when Sam Cosgrove knock down is fumbled to Lewis Ferguson!! I'd hate to miss out on £52.25 just because a bookmaker has been given wrong information.
  13. I'm hearing third is actually Greg Stewart. Please say it is Lewis Ferguson because I have £9.50 on him to Score Anytime (9/2) against his former club!!!
  14. Still can't believe Terry Christie my rector at Musselburgh Grammar School was Stenhousemuir boss when they beat us!!
  15. I still can't believe we got £100K off Exeter City and £150,000 from Preston North End for Jayden Stockley. Does kind of cover the fact fee paid for Chris Forrester looking like a waste of money.
  16. I don't know why this has only come to mind two minutes ago but why haven't we looked at somebody like an out of favour Nir Bitton on loan so Lewis Ferguson can play further forward??
  17. Gone is the day we have five Dutchmen in our first team squad!!!!!
  18. I had £12 on us winning 2-1 at (9/1) so nice way in ending 2018 for what has been a very tough year it has to be said. Biggest achievement attending Pittodrie and Burnley Europa League game suffering from dreaded depression plus anxiety. Honestly not sure how we got through that journey but glad one made effort as love my European matches.
  19. Well blow me over I managed to win £152 on us losing with £17 Lewis Ferguson Anytime Scorer (7/1) and Scott Sinclair £10 First Goal (9/2). Lost our £12 predicting a 2-1 Aberdeen win. Only did the aforementioned Celtic player because he played for Manchester City my English team. Couldn't believe the betting shop in England never had Ferguson on their coupon and guy behind desk had to phone up head office for said price!!! Actually asked yours truly; "Are you sure it isn't Lewis Morgan you're after?!?!?!"
  20. If I could go back and relive one Aberdeen match in my life it would be this game. Never did one think said result meant I'd two month later watch us draw 2-2 with 7th richest club throughout world football on evening our first short stories book was officially published.
  21. Bit annoyed at myself tonight as if counting Hamilton Academical 3-0 win in October one has now missed a third midweek home victory since being diagnosed with the anxiety and depression. Just feel I'm still struggling regarding the whole public transport aspect of life. Hindsight a great thing but if I'd not had any of the troubles 2018 has brought one would have been at these games in a heartbeat. Again knowing said benefit of their respective final outcome these three matches might have been what we needed to rise once more. Guess yours truly should just be proud I made the Burnley European game in July as I've seen them play Dundee, Livingston and them lot from Lanarkshire so many times these last 27 years both good and bad in experience so trying to not be too hard on myself for not making an effort given what we've been through this year as a whole. Just I'd promised myself after getting Mam's inheritance and more so when new stadium was announced that I'd make more effort to attend midweek Pittodrie games because they are my favourite occasions.
  22. Got my third correct first goalscorer up in a week!!! Had £8 (6/1) on Niall McGinn last Tuesday against Livingston, £10 (5/1) Stevie May versus St.Mirren at weekend now have £8 (4/1) Sam Cosgrove tonight!!! Not sure I've ever done that in watching The Sheep 27 years. Having said that I don't back every Aberdeen game throughout a season or even three in a row like last week gone. Only when near a betting shop!! Very annoyed to hear our fourth goal should be disallowed as we did £12 for 4-1 Aberdeen (20/1) like!!!! Ten goals in a week one can't ask for better from the lads.
  23. North Star, correct me if I've read wrong but are you saying we'll be receiving between £1.8million and £3 million for them both together??
  24. Can't believe I had £8 on Niall McGinn First Goal at (6/1) guys!!!!!!
  25. Guys I wasn't meaning for the option in this Poll to be taken seriously. As one said they are just people who might be considered as being best within their chosen career during my 30 years watching sport. Always wondered whether given Sports Personality Of The Year this Sunday evening whether folk actually believe Snooker, Darts, Horse Racing, Cycling and Mixed Martial Arts are a valid nomination for somebody from that background to be included in such a list.
