  1. Which teenager in my personal European history with Aberdeen has scored the best goal???
  2. Dunty, I don't argue with anybody over my opinion but Mr Dyche has went down in my estimation over said comment. If he had any genuine class he'd have not even uttered such garbage.
  3. Nice to see Mr Dyche allowing his arrogance to show with the comment about with no disrespect to Aberdeen now we're going to Istanbul the fans can have a proper European Tour. Honestly hope they get stuffed now after that nonsense. Was as if he was always 'looking past' us. Not cool in my eyes.
  4. Anybody else sick of the hard luck story line with Aberdeen this last three or four years??? You know losing to Celtic in last minute of Scottish Cup Final and only going out to Kairat Almaty, Maribor and Apollon Limassol by the one goal each time and now Burnley in extra-time.
  5. Maybe the team coach can stop off at Duns on said way down road ElginDon!!
  6. Since I lost my Mam five years ago I've been keeping a note of the Aberdeen games we've attended. Right now I'm averaging 11 games a year from where we live. Four hours on a train towards said Granite City. However one has had abandoned match with Motherwell December 2016 to scrub off list and ain't counting five games where there has been nothing to play for like the 4-0 thumping against Ross County and a couple of losses to St.Johnstone on last day also. So after Burnley came to town Thursday evening my competitive record does read; PL 38 W 24 D 11 L 3 F 70 A 25. The three losses were the 2-1 at Tynecastle (Weaver dropping a corner late on and Jordan McGhee netting), Motherwell 2-0 last season when Deek was supposedly heading to Ibrox and that cruel late defeat to Real Sociedad. Seven of the drawn matches are against Groningen, Shkendija, HNK Rijeka, Kairat Almaty, NK Maribor, Siroki Brijeg and Burnley hence it feels as if that statistic adds something more to our overall record. I do believe my 'Unbeaten Streak' shall sit at 92.1% which might seem absurd. Very proud of my Boys!!
  7. Rocket, I know why we sang said anthem was there to hear their ignorance in person myself. They actually started singing above nonsense as one got off train about 1pm. Said to one Burnley bloke we'd had a nice chat up with that even me as an Englishman thought how 'uncool' it sounded and they'd only arrived thirty seconds beforehand!!
  8. Anybody got any footage of the 'Flower Of Scotland' moment Thursday evening because it sent shivers down my spine and I'm an Englishman!! Think it was probably due to it being so off the cuff.
  9. I see it is being played at a weekend rather than a Tuesday or Wednesday evening.
  10. Given my recent health struggle the fact we got said decent result for our toil was a massive personal victory for me when arriving home at 7pm Friday. I'd had some friends really question how much I wanted to attend last night. Even if we'd lost heavily one needed to be there regardless. Our silly thought process coupled with some unwanted anxiety did challenge yours truly although not as much as SeeBass predicted. Bagged my souvenir scarf and programme which was something we deliberately focused on. Having one's brain injury from birth can make Mr Seymour go daft anytime. Talking with this young Burnley fan (I'd say early twenties) on way back towards Bauhaus Hotel Lee claimed he never argued with any rival fan because he'd always supported GREATEST FOOTBALL TEAM THAT HAS EVER LIVED!!!!!!! God rest her soul but Mam forever found one's life wonderful due to the fact she had a disabled son that just did and said his own thing yet was so far out on his own..'that nobody could ever touch him.' Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk, Lokomotiv Moscow, FC Copenhagen, Bayern Munich, Daugava Riga, Groningen, Shkendija, HNK Rijeka, Kairat Almaty, Sporting Circle Fola Esch, Ventspils, Maribor, Siroki Brijeg, Apollon Limassol AND BURNLEY have all failed to win at Pittodrie. Spoke alongside another Dandy walking Merkland Street reciting all ten drawn matches including chronological order. Looked amazed aforementioned Mancunian knew everything. I feel very proud of seeing only Sigma Olomouc then Real Sociedad beating us from seventeen European matches and even here it might be suggested there were mitigating circumstances plus a tad bad luck about those two losses. Never believed we'd see one UEFA Cup game nevermind seventeen so I'll now go sleep peacefully knowing Thursday evening was for me and nobody else.
  11. I've been having an interesting conversation with my brother Paul about people in the public eye we really admire or like to see do well in their career. I'm always amazed at my deep passion for folk like Ronnie O'Sullivan and Victoria 'Vika' Azarenka. I get quite emotionally charged watching Raymond Van Barneveld enter Darts arena too. There's a clip of him taking part in Premier League at Glasgow and my blood goes cold every time I watch clip. I'm quite confused by the whole Azarenka thing because I'm not a great fan of tennis even if I had a crush on Anke Huber in late 1990's it wasn't as fierce a love for her like the Belarussian. I know Conor McGregor has been a bit naughty lately and ain't really seen him in action but I'm fascinated by his whole presence. Do think Lionel Messi has become my favourite footballer of all time too. Maybe I should invite all five round for dinner eh?!?! Anybody you guys and gals sport or otherwise don't wanna miss??
  12. Would anybody go with sticking Niall McGinn back up front given his debut season with us?? Unless Sam Cosgrove turns into the new Zlatan Ibrahimovic overnight and with Adam Rooney looking likely to leave I honestly can't see where our goals will be coming from!!

I wrote the below two messages on our Facebook page regarding Jamie Murray and Victoria Azarenka's second round and quarter-final matches. "Just been sat watching Jamie Murray and Victoria Azarenka in Wimbledon Mixed Doubles. They were getting beat 7-6 (8-6), 6-7 (6-, 1-5 with two match points to save. Then the above started portraying said will to win I demand from 'Vika', Ronnie O'Sullivan, Aberdeen Football Club literally everybody when down and out. Come 9.40pm under Centre Court floodlights they'd reeled off six straight games prevailing 7-6 (8-6), 6-7 (6-, 7-5!!! Next yours truly showed such great emotion as tears strolled past my right cheek for a few minutes afterwards. This fabulous reaction is why I love being me because one a bit like our favourite female tennis player does leave everything out on said court yet wouldn't change anything for anybody. Take us how we are or not at all people." "Well I never expected that response from me!! Missed Vika and Jamie Murray's second set in Mixed Doubles Quarter-Final at Wimbledon looking for my lost wallet (now found) and left said game with them being down 4-6, 0-0 best of three. Came home and we were into the final few games score reading 4-6, 7-5, 4-4. They battled so hard taking match 4-6, 7-5, 7-5 to defeat their third seeded opponent having never played beside each other before. When referee called result one let out this almighty; "GET IN THERE!!" Tears streamed over our right cheek nearly five minutes long. Not sure where above reaction resided. They're what tennis refer to as a 'scratch pair' but even if yours truly don't win title Sunday evening I'm totally loving Azarenka's passion during end celebration these past four matches. Given her ongoing custody battle regarding one's son Leo she does deserve every success like. Couldn't have envisaged watching them reach Semi's though!!! An amazing woman who has some 'winning mentality' quality which Lee obviously really shall feed off until retirement."
  15. I know Bayern Munich in 2008 was £28 because I have said stub somewhere in flat!!
  16. Have I read somewhere we're only after a fullback and striker plus Ferguson, Forrester and Gleeson then that's our Summer business finished with??
  17. I'm sitting on 55 points from last two seasons and that's having to travel four hours on a train to attend each home game too. It would have been nice to go Turf Moor especially seeing as I have family in Manchester who would have put me up for nothing.
  18. Bobby, I bought my ticket in Lower Richard Donald Stand online last night and hotel is provisionally booked. Just need a train up sorted. I've been speaking with my ex-Mental Health Peer Worker Moira yesterday and said to her that as much as we would like to progress as far as we can I'm very realistic about our chances in this tie. As a one off spectacle despite the opposition not filling me with any great excitement (I've already stated it is in my eyes the most boring draw we could have got) I still NEED TO BE THERE to support my heroes regardless. Even if it only means I have the souvenir scarf and programme to show for my effort. My Aberdeen European memorabilia is very special to me as I never thought we'd ever see my lads play seventeen continental matches in eleven years given some of the dross that has worn a Dons jersey since 1991 and my first ever match. Yes I want to win over the two legs but there will be some embarrassment on my part if we don't do ourselves justice. Just don't buy into all this 'Battle Of Britain' mumbo jumbo I've seen from other supporters.
  19. I always joked to my Mam that one day I would go visit places called 'Aberdeen' in different parts of the world but never have. Does anybody know where one is or visited yourselves?? With my depression it might be cool to focus on doing something so silly.
  20. A friend of mine sent me the below message via Facebook regarding our home leg with Burnley; "Anxiety is a horrible thing, and in a way the only way to overcome it is to push yourself, but only you know if you're ready to do that or not. But the other way to look at it is; how disappointed in yourself will you be if you don't go? You have to turn it around to look at it another way. Perhaps if you keep taking the medication you may be a wee bit more ready for that journey? W. x"
  21. Elgin, I'm not sure what you're trying to get at. I wanna be at every Aberdeen if money allowed and my overall mood wasn't as up and down like it has been this last five months.
  22. I've been up til at least 3am trying to justify why I'm just not feeling this tie with our Lancashire friends. If my Neurologist is correct and I've been unexpectedly struggling with a bout of depression for said last four months then I was genuinely looking forward to seeing what side we might get in late July as I knew there was a good chance given one's brain injury from birth that at least one Europa League qualifier against somebody really weird and wonderful might give me the focus required to see a quicker recovery from latest issue. Burnley isn't that name one hoped to be getting excited about. I don't buy into all this 'Battle Of Britain' garbage most supporters mention. I think also if the end outcome is what I expect it to be all that effort to finish second past campaign was for nothing but to witness two 'high profile friendlies against some English Premier League outfit' as I've described to female friends. If I'm well enough when tickets go on sale I'll maybe try and travel them four hours on train to attend Pittodrie leg if only for the souvenir scarf and programme. I genuinely hope I can be fit enough mentally to go because I do love watching my team in Europe despite this year giving us the most uninspiring opponent going.
  23. I'm getting pelters from a friend who like me is an Aberdeen fan of nearly 40 years himself. He can't understand why I have ZERO ENTHUSIASM for this tie. Given the teams we could have drawn I still stand by my opinion it is the MOST BORING pairing we could have got.
  24. Kenny, I think the word we used was actually 'depressed'. I'm not even sure I'll make an effort to attend the Pittodrie leg but for the souvenir scarf and programme to say; "I was there when we played Burnley in Europa League Qualifying 2018!!" I hope I'm seriously wrong but if we can keep it down to a two goal deficit in overall aggregate score we'll be doing very well indeed.
