  1. Kenny, thanks for restoring some realism on this thread!! I've said to my brother in Australia (also an Aberdeen man) we'll get beat 2-0 at Pittodrie and 2-1 at Turf Moor but overall it'll be a walk in the park for said Lancashire club and he wholeheartedly agrees with me. Sean Dyche wouldn't dare let his players underestimate us and will bring a very strong side up knowing how they get written off in their own league week in week out!!!
  2. Tom Heaton, Jack Cork, Ashley Barnes, Sam Vokes, Robbie Brady, Jeff Hendrick, Ben Mee, Steven Defour, Jonathon Walters, Nakhi Wells, Kevin Long, Stephen Ward, Johann Berg Gudmudsson and Aaron Lennon are no mugs lads!!!!!
  3. Given a certain set of circumstances weren't ever going to be facing Everton from what I was told. Back in the 1980's Ipswich Town and Aberdeen were probably on a more even playing field as it is claimed so end outcome wasn't that big of an upset. For whatever reason I'm quite depressed we didn't get different opposition.
  4. It's like drawing Celtic away in 3rd Round of Scottish Cup and just not filling me with any great excitement whatsoever!!
  5. I'm quite gutted about the draw pretty uninspiring stuff in my book.
  6. Not Birkikara and KI Klasvik too if they beat Zalgiris Vilnius?? We need home revenge from 22 years ago right?!?!
  7. I've just pictured Kenny Miller scoring the 87th minute winner against his old employers on Sunday August 5th!!!
  8. I see the following group was announced for the charity match later this month but who is playing between said sticks?!?!?!?!?! The full list of Former AFC Players taking part is as follows: Willem Van Der Ark, Russell Anderson, Paul Mason, Kevin McNaughton, Derek Young, Dougie Bell, Robert Connor, Darren Mackie, Darren Young, Scott Severin, Chris Clark, Brian Irvine, David Rowson,Willie Falconer.
  9. Maybe I'm getting old but I just like to watch my team in peace and quiet nowadays!!! I'm all up for creating an atmosphere with something like a safe standing section but our disability isn't getting any easier to deal with older I get so keeping the spams and jerking down to a minimum is always appreciated and I think if folk are in danger of bumping into me with above idea one's leg and hand especially might be tempted to bash a few people in face for no reason!!!

    World Cup

Big Al, what was the line Lawrenson came up with about the French player and his broken shoelaces?!?!

    World Cup

I had £75 (8/5) on Ronaldo to Score Anytime and also got the benefit of that VAR decision in France vs Australia game as had £10 Griezmann First Goal (3/1). Not going daft on the World Cup betting after today's games are over might just leave with a tidy profit from first weekend's action.
  12. I see we're after another Irishman called Stephen Gleeson. Maybe we can do a Dundalk and actually make Europa League Group Stage if he, Forrester and any other player with green blood wanna join said renaissance!!
  13. I see the Daily Record is quoted as saying we the fans have voted for a whole stand to be safe standing at our new stadium. I've not been consulted by the club so don't know if I've missed something but personally if this was going to become a reality it wouldn't be something I'd welcome sorry but couldn't think of anything worse.
  14. Cheers Big Al I forgot to put that option up!! We've had a fair few countries to explore these past 11 years eh?? Always nice when you can mix travel and football like.
  15. Let us see which was the most popular holiday destination for Aberdeen fans these last 11 years!!!
  16. Was listening to a chat online about some WWE wrestlers that have come out recently and how they've been supported no end. How would folk feel if one of our boys came out?? Personally I couldn't care less what one's sexual orientation is as long as you treat me the way one wanted to be treated yourself if playing for Aberdeen or not.
  17. I didn't think one would see said day we were potentially looking at leaving Pittodrie. If you've read my book Hemiplegic Utopia people will know yours truly ran onto pitch once before a game had even started to get Joe Miller's autograph with some lad we'd never laid eyes on. However if you were asking for singularly our most memorable moment without doubt when fourth goal was scored against FC Copenhagen in December 2007. I'd never had such euphoria run through one's entire flesh and literally felt as though we'd experienced an outer body type nirvana.
  18. Just been thinking regarding said news work on the new stadium might be starting this Summer. Simple question really what will you miss most about Pittodrie??
  19. What are folk making of the Danny Rogers wanted by Dundee United story??
  20. Is it just me or do female porn stars always seem to have really duff tattoos??
  21. Does anybody agree that we shouldn't really be handing out caps for friendlies??
  22. Realistically how many players are we going to need to make us competitive yet again because apart from Forrester, Baldwin, Naismith and Dylan not heard many other names??
  23. Must admit when Joe Lewis arrived I knew of him from Peterborough United but had said to Dave MacDermid at the club I thought Deek had settled for scraping the barrel a bit. How wrong was I?? Been one of our best performers last two years and I think given Peterborough United were the only other team to really give him a game before us we've struck Gold with the guy.
  24. Having only started supporting Aberdeen in 1991 I can't really relate to a lot of you older fans. Yet let it be known if it was a Brian Irvine or an Adam Rooney that had passed away today I'd be just as GUTTED!!!!!
  25. Anybody have a particular opinion on today's ruling to change the maximum stake allowed on these machines to just £2 a spin?? I think bookmakers shot themselves in foot generally speaking with said terminals. No way do they give value for money nor are they that entertaining. Nobody should be able to lose £300 in a minute on something so against us gamblers. I once watched some Chinese guy lose around £1,500 in ten minutes. Punters can't be putting in like £500 just to win say a £50 profit!!!
