The reason I know it was 21p is because on the way to the ground before the game I passed him and dropped 12p (ten pence and a two penny coin) into his cap without speaking for the rendition of "Live Forever" by Oasis. And so all in all I`d given the guy a 33p palindrome (1221). I remember everything in my life right down to the last detail.

I think for my seventh selection it has to be the celebrating I did in Burger King after watching us trounce Copenhagen. I was with my friend Roy getting a bit of grub before heading towards my pit at The Youth Hostel when a song I knew started to play in the background. "Labour Of Love" by Hue and Cry actually. Stood up and recited all the words whilst doing a silly dance. Roy told me to sit down but I informed him I didn`t care because I was going home the next day and nobody would remember me anyway. Then when we left a guy called Kevin strumming a guitar along Union Street played "Lucky Man" by The Verve for me which was a lovely end to a fab night. Paid him 21p for his trouble a 20p and a one penny piece.

I was just thinking is there a case for picking Chaz`s best free-kick? I`ve been at three games (Motherwell winner last season, consolation against Sigma and the effort which set us on our way to three points against Accies) when he`s scored via this means. Would argue the latter was the most impressive out of the trio.

Paulinho I never bet on anything I can`t see. Not as enjoyable as witnessing something go completely tits up for you or romp home in style.

For their entertainment value alone I just wanna thank the half dozen lads who started singing a number of great Aberdeen tunes as they left Central Station and headed in the direction of Queen Street where I as going. The sense of humour on show made my day.

GlasgowDon, Can`t take you`re money with you as they say! I`ve had eight or nine up so far this season meaning they`ve pretty much paid for my whole year`s European bets. If I`ve had to put anything towards the £40 I spend each matchday then it`s pretty minimal.

Got us down for a 2-0 win Charlie Mulgrew a £1 e/w at 16`s with Gaz Mac to hit one against his former club at 20`s same stake. Can I make a request? For us to sing Ten Men Went To Mow. My female friend said when she was little her and her mates sang something different to the same tune. "A Supersonic Sausage Dog With Rubber Suckers As It`s Feet.", the changed lyrics to their version or words to that effect. Made me realise how much I miss singing this. The day we were let in early at Tannadice before our 2-1 defeat is an afernoon I will remember fondly. Dancing to "One Man Went To Mow, Went To Mow A Meadow." in an empty stadium and to a few of the Dons players warming up a crazy chain of events if there ever is such a thing!

Bobby, I never try and influence anybody on my selections. Yes I only ever bet on the European stuff I can`t think of a better thing to waste some money on. I blame Theo Snelders for this. His spell at The Dons got me into the continental scene big style. I was a little unlucky last night because in the three winners picks Galatasaray (1-1) let me down in one and FC Twente 0-0 in the other so I nearly had three of six up. All in all only three of my teams lost Benfica, Villarreal and Politechnica Timosoara the culprits.

Did six 20p Lucky 15`s on the twenty four Europa Ties and had one down completely, two winners in two, three wins in another two and a four timer in another! For my £18 I won £17.63 alone on Fulham (8/11), Fenerbache (5/6), Lazio (EVS) and Lille (6/4).

Dandy Man`s running at Newmarket 4.20 today and Underworld Dandy at Wolverhampton 6.15ish tonight. Doing a wee e/w double with winnings I collected on William Van Gogh placed at 14`s and Christopher Wren third at 40`s!

As an interest thing I usally have a fiver on each of the Freeview televised European games...you know single correct goalscorer and scoreline sort of stuff as the independant bookie doesn`t do....."football specials, dogs nor Irish racing." Last night although I was unlucky with my player picks I predicted Everton would win 4-0 (don`t ask me where I came up with that one), however I only had 50p on at (22/1)!!! Did have a £1 e/w on Dirk Kuyt to score at (5/1) on Wednesday so only really made £7-8 over the two nights. Don`t know why I bother!
-
Tenative prediction for Thursday night are as follows....Fulham (5/4), Sporting Lisbon (23/20), Valencia (13/10) AND HAPOEL TEL AVIV (8/5)! Secondly...FC Copenhagen (7/4), Panathinaikos (5/4), Toulouse (6/5) and PSV Eindhoven (6/5). Don`t know whether I`ll do seperate Lucky 15`s or two £3 accumalators yet. CL teatime teaser will be...Barcelona (6/4), AC Milan (19/10), Lyon (4/5) and Wolfsburg (4/5).
-
Four for Thursday are as follows; Club Bruges (4/5), Ajax (10/11), Litex Lovech (10/11) and Heerenveen (10/11). If you fancy a bit of a risk try Austria Vienna (6/5), Dinamo Zagreb (7/5), Lazio (5/4), Genoa (13/10), Athletic Bilbao (6/5), MSK Zilina (11/8) and Benfica (10/11) together.
-
BobbyBiscuit, I know I didn`t put them up in time but I had Arsenal (EVS), VFB Stuttgart (EVS), Olympiakos (4/5) and FC Zurich (6/5) in another small stakes Lucky 15....don`t know why I bother! If Everton (1/3) and Hamburg (4/6) win tonight I have them as well as FC Copenhagen (4/7) and Atletico Madrid (17/10) in a second Lucky 15. Understand I ain`t making a lot but hey it pays for the following week`s bet. I might put on Villareal (5/6), Fenerbache (4/5), Basle (10/11) and Shakthar Donetsk (6/5) if I can get to the bookies in time.
-
I`ve got a quid on Aberdeen 3-1 (18/1) , and three £1 e/w goalscorers in Aluko (8/1), McDonald (25/1), Ifil (40/1).
-
Selections for tonight are as follows....West Bromich Albion (4/5), Colchester United (10/11), Southampton (5/6) and Preston North End (1/2).
-
Anybody on my Thursday treble? £3 stake returned £20.70.

EE: Aberdeen FC fans attacked and robbed
SeeBass replied to Kowalski's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
Folk who call themselves "football fans" eh? Really makes me sick. Do we have a reputation or something because it`s the second time in two years we`ve been back page news on our travels. Of course Atletico Madrid and Sigma Olomouc should maybe have a word or two with their supporters but me thinks that ain`t going to happen. Why can`t people just enjoy the game for what it is...a laugh and a joke nothing more nothing less. -
My two trebles for the week are; £2 Roll Up on Champions League, Panathinaikos (3/10), FC Copenhagen (11/8) and NK Maribor (6/4), then in the Europa League, £3 Roll Up on, Steaua Bucharest (10/11) (think they`re a smashing price might go daft on them singlely), Athletic Bilbao (13/10) and sadly Sigma Olomouc (4/7) I think as a separate bet for Thursday I`m going to do a small stakes Lucky 15 on Roma (5/6), Fenerbache (10/11), PSV Eindhoven (4/5) and Club Bruges (8/11).

Bobby Biscuit, I had a £4 treble up on the Wednesday night with FC Copenhagen (1/2), Olympiakos (5/6) and Debrecen (8/5) netting me a tidy £28.60. I also had 25p e/w on Charlie Mulgrew at (20/1) just because the lass who took the bet had a wee fancy for him, as well as a £1 e/w on Lee Miller at (6/1) and a 3-0 Dons scoreline at (12/1). Picks for this week I ain`t sure yet.

It never ceases to amaze me the amount of mistakes in football reports these days. I noticed one in both The Press and Journal and Daily Record on Friday morning. The latter stated in the results round-up that subsitute Kascak scored the fifth not Horava and the P&J claimed on the back page that Petr netted number three, yet in the match analysis on the inside it was apparently Janotka which hit the third. Shoddy, shoddy work.

So whose going to win Big Brother 10 if Halfwit doesn`t? I took Siavash at (10/1) to make the final three £2 e/w at the start of the show but would rather Dogface triumph now. The (40/1) and (25/1) I saw qouted a few weeks back appear to have been lost prices because I`m convinced she`ll be in the top two after the way her confidence has grown since Kris left. Rodrigo and her are a pretty funny duo at the minute.

What`s the proper kick-off time at Pittodrie next week? Ticket says quarter to eight, teletext seven o`clock! -
Europa League Qualifying Draw - Friday

Were we ever in the first or last European Cup, Fairs Cup, CW Cup? I just like the fact we`re in a brand new competition in it`s pilot season. Almost as if we`re keeping up with The Jones`. -

Does anybody know if we`re home or away first? I know the second leg being at Pittodrie would be better for me. Even if the tie was technically over I`d still come up.
