Have there been any players since 1989 in our ranks who`ve had a nickname with the letter P? It`s just for a new story I`m writing.

I too have never been to a Hampden Final yet but my most vivid memories are of Mason`s(always thought he was underrated) header just seeming to take an age to go in and Snelders save from Rogan too looks better every time I see it. Like poetry in motion. Mum bought me an Aberdeen goalie top not long after which to this day I still have as I had plans to replace big Theo when he retired! Loved going down the park with pals and pretending to be the Flying Dutchman with fingertip stops for the cameras over the bar and round my posts. Happy Days! Was fifteen when we beat Dundee yet can`t even remember how we scored our goals so work that one out, and did Ricco not draw us level during the Cup Final against Rangers?

Rachid Belabed, Eugene Dadi and Alex Di Rocco were a waste of time!

Also want to add whoever put the music to that 9 minutes 27 seconds clip of our European adventure is a genius. So apt for the images. Shed a tear or two remembering the good times.

Just thought about something when the final whistle went at Inverness.....when was the last time WE scored a last minute winner and secondly when was the last time we had four different scorers in a game? Anybody got the answers? Take Care. SeeBass.

I noticed whilst walking to Pittodrie for the Bayern game there were scarfs being sold along King Street with the actually date of the tie. I wanted one but didn`t have the money. Know where I can get one?

He`s my favourite player of all time! When at Ross County after I`d written him a letter to thank him for his inspiration he sent two tickets to my house for the final game of the season against Stenhousemuir the year they went upto the First Division. It finished 2-2 if I remember right. Called my flat the week before the match at Ochilview and spoke to me for around 45 minutes about the game at Easter Road that the previous weekend which we lost 2-0 thanks to Mixu Paatelainen and Pat McGinlay. I`ve never forgotten that evening and probably never will. Take Care! Lee

I was only asking! So anybody upto the job?
-
I wondered whether anybody would be willing to put together a short highlights package together of our Euro run and send it to me? I think I`ll just stick to writing books as I`m not very good at these sort of things. Cheers! SeeBass

OK I didn`t get to the games in Ukraine, Greece, Spain or Germany but did manage to be there for the four home ties and having travelled four hours each time to make it I have some wonderful experiences of my "first ever European campaign." Yes I`ve been a fan for 17 years but had never attended a continental match til the 0-0 draw with Dnipro. So much better being there than watching it on the box. Cried through the whole of the first half that night the atmosphere touched me that much...my first visit to Pittodrie in 12 years. Could have got hammered 5-0 and it wouldn`t have bothered me. Then there was the Lokomotiv encounter where I saw Zander score my very first `Euro goal` and the play that lead upto the corner was breathtaking. As for Copenhagen I wish I had all day to tell you how that was for me but sadly I don`t have the time as I`m in the library with nine minutes left. Suffice to say I`ll never forget everything that went with that evening. Bayern last Thursday....couldn`t have scripted it better myself. If you`d said to me my first book would be released the same day we met up again with old foes nearly 25 years on from that magical night I`d have told you to have a word with yourself! Great way to spend your first day as an official author! JC and all the lads....thanks for the memories! P.S.Maybe one day I`ll take my Aberdeen journey to greater depths by following them abroad soon.

Why is it I see wherever I look people claiming Aberdeen were fluky against Copenhagen and got lucky on Thursday versus Bayern? We live in a society which hopes to find heroes in whatever field then when they get one and we have a bit of success feel they`re getting too big for their boots. Anybody who wants to see the Dons get slaughtered in Munich because it would show us up are for me pretty sad. Football is what it is at the end of the day a source of enjoyment. Nothing more nothing less. There`s enough misery in the world as it is so why saturate football with these negative comments? It`s something I`ve never understood about humans.

I`ve spoken to Liam`s father Peter (lives five minutes down the road from me) who says his son is getting fed up of the limited opportunities at Falkirk hence why he`s on loan at St.Johnstone. I think we should go and make a move for the guy who I`ve personally known of since he was a kid as he played against my little brother in the local junior ranks here in the Scottish Borders and was always one who had the right attitude to his chosen profession. Hanging out with childhood friends and stuff on that level will never change because he`s a very grounded lad who will never lose sight of his roots whilst trying to make a name for himself in the sport. Left sided too which might give Foster and Young something to think about next season especially if Aluko doesn`t stay on after this campaign. Could even replace Mair and Byrne at full back if needed. Just a thought Dandies. Take Care! SeeBass.

Does anybody know of or have the song sheet to which somebody would play this on say a guitar? And the full list of lyrics to go with it if possible. There`s an old guy in my local strumming class that would like to learn it. Cheers In Advance. SeeBass

Can I ask what is it with all the loan signings this season? Who was the last person to join us on these type of terms? I can`t remember having one guy on loan never mind three in the same campaign in my 17 years as a Dandy. I`m not doubting Maybury, Walker or Aluko are worth their places at the club but does this reflect the way we ight go in the future for new captures? You know quantity not quality? SeeBass

Had a treble up on Tuesday....Walsall (19/10), Wycomce Wanderes (7/5) and Leyton Orient. (11/10). Times my money by 14! Of course my luck has to run out soon but hey it beats betting on horses. My Super Six for tomorrow are Kilmarnock (4/7), Dundee United (1/2), St.Johnstone (1/2), Dunfermilne Athletic (5/4), Gretna (21/20) and Hibernian (4/5). If your brave enough us do us at (7/4) and Motherwell (13/8) and make it an eight timer. Miller to grab first goal tomorrow Dons to win 2-0.

Is it just me or is their no atmosphere at our end when we goto Falkirk. Saturday was the third time I`ve been at Westfield (and I`m going to the cup game too, why I don`t know!) where I thought I was at Butlins and not a football match. SeeBass

God I`m getting brave folks...over the Xmas period I`ve had two four team accas up! Not went daft with my stake but when I had Motherwell (Evs), St.Johnstone (6/5), Raith Rovers (5/6) and Montrose (10/11) on the 29th I felt really weird picking up money on a game which had seen a player die. Phil wherever you are now pal R.I.P. Then yesterday I had Dundee United (10/11), Dunfermline Athletic (11/8), Raith (4/5) and Montrose (11/10) again which I`m waiting to pick up once I can wade through the snow to get to the local bookies! Hope You`ve Had A Good One! Take Care! SeeBass!

How about the notorious Nigel Pepper?!!
-
Cowie, Can I ask how much you had on it and where you got outrageous odds of 13/1? I live in the sticks 15 miles from any of the nearest big chain bookies and fifty miles from any city so my local independant bookmaker only gives his punters doubles, trebles and accumalators based on teams individual prices not a series of sides as a whole! To be honest I was a little worried for Thursday when I heard on Sky Sports that Moyes was leaving so many first team stars behind knowing that they`d won the group and had a massive match with Man U. on Sunday. Remember AZ hadn`t lost at home in the UEFA Cup for some 32 games so it was a great results for the toffees. Glad those that took part grabbed thier chances with open hands. Plus Villarreal had to make sure of qualification as their group was quite tight. Cheers! SeeBass
-
Did Aalborg (9/2) and Bordeaux (16/5) in a small stakes double because I realised Spartak had qualified beforehand and aren`t great travellers! Happy Days Folks! Three In A Row! Treble tonight....Atletico (8/13), Nuremberg (8/11) and Hamburg (4/7) as well as Everton/Villarreal bet. Take Care! Lee
-
My two doubles this week are; WEDNESDAY THURSDAY Bayer Leverkusen (11/8) Everton (19/5) Spartak Moscow (17/10) Villareal (9/4) Don`t say I didn`t warn you! SeeBass

Seeing that goal Brian Irvine scored against Celtic on the footage reminded me of something my step-father said to a friend after we got home; "Should have seen Irvine`s first touch. Took it down like a Brazilian!" Ever heard anything more ridiculous in your life?!!! Take Care! SeeBass
-
God two bets up in a week! What`s the world coming too? Had another £2 treble up with Lyon (6/5), Seville (10/11) and Inter Milan (23/10) winning me £27.72!!! Taken me so long to get even one combination up and now they`re like London buses two in such a short space of time! Take Care! SeeBass

Easter Road runs Fir Park close but I have some great memories at this dump in Lanarkshire. Hopefully tomorrow will add to my experiences. I remember losing my voice in 94/95 when singing non stop in a 1-0 win there which was a game we needed to win or we were relegated yeah? Chris McCart scored an O.G. that day no? Also in the era when Ian Angus used to play for Well my step-father went to throw a ball to him so he could take a corner and as Angus failed to catch the ball he stuck the fingers upto my step-father as if it was his fault he didn`t catch the ball. Was in attendance that night we were involved in that memorable 6-5 Halloween thriller ten days before October 31st my first live games for two and a half years. I`m on BBC Scotland`s highlights celebrating Andy Dow`s opener and got them to send the tape to me. I went to that forgettable 0-0 game in January 2005 too! There was a 1-1 draw there one Sunday afternoon where if memory serves me right Zerouali broke his leg which I`m sure I heard snap from the stand? My last ever game with my step-father was a 1-0 win as Paul Sheerin scored an early penalty to liven up a dreary match. After the game our car broke down a mile or two outside Motherwell and as we tried to fix it the team bus drove straight past us and didn`t stop to help! Can`t remember the score of my first ever game there because I`d urinated down my trouser leg waiting for my step-father in a phonebox to finish on the blower to mum and don`t recall much else as a result of my embarrassment. The puddle seeped onto a road where a busy roundabout stood with Halfords not far away. And even this March`s 2-0 midweek win has a special place in my heart. Was my first evening match alone. But you`ll read all about that in the book! So have others had great memories of this place? Take Care! SeeBass

Can I just play Devil`s Advocaat here. If what Robbo is saying is true then I personally wouldn`t miss Chris Clark (must be the most overrated Aberdeen player in history!) and Stevie Lovell as much as I like him hasn`t done it enough to warrant an improved contract. Of course losing Mickey Hart, Seve and Baz Nic would be a massive blow and even now can`t see where they`d go to better their chances of winning some silverware in their career but we`d ssurvive like we always have. Let`s say Hart does go to Celtic is that really showing any ambition? Going to The Old Firm to sit on the bench and get the odd game against lower league teams in the Cups ain`t my idea of a wonderful time playing football. Yes I know it`s all about money but what is annoying me most if the rumour mill is to be believed is that these players mentioned amognst others have built something good over the past three to four years and in all honesty can`t say they`ve been a success until they`ve won something together yet are all too happy to dismantle the good work by JC and let the fans down when it suits them. I love the club to pieces but we are never going to go anywhere if we don`t have a sustained period of stability. Surely having to start from scratch every five years or so is something those at the top of the club realise will delay the progress of the operation in making us a force to be reckoned with again? Take Care! SeeBass
