Isn't this track quite apt given the absolute circus going on with Tory Government right now? Cracking song though.

I recently saw the David Bentley retirement interview with Robbie Savage again. Still can't believe the boy gave game up at 28 years old. One thing he said is something I'm feeling about Aberdeen Football Club right now and probably been agonising over last four or five years. David said the game wasn't what it was like when he first started as a kid and just wanted out. I feel like this too about the sport. Can't quite put my finger on why we've lost a lot of love for the club and general product of Scottish scene. Is it because we play the same teams too many times in a league season? Or because Celtic and Rangers seem to be the only two sides that anybody cares about? Has my emotion been switched off as I don't like direction Dave Cormack is taking us? Could horrific behaviour I'm hearing about from our own supporters especially at away matches putting me off attending fixtures? Whatever it is I'm really struggling to care about the fortunes of my club. One thing David Bentley is right about is football isn't what it used to be.

I was just flicking through the scores and saw Gretna 2008 away to East Stirlingshire in Lowland League. It got me thinking. Don't think we could ever support another incarnation of Aberdeen if God forbid it ever got to something like that. Especially if they carried on with historical achievements of the original Aberdeen. Do folk have an opinion?

What is the Ash Taylor's wife and Derek story all about again? I don't think we ever understood what the problem was.

Massive gratitude for the lady in this video getting below message for me from Willie Miller!!!!! Not stopped laughing at how she tries to pronounce Hemiplegic Utopia!! Willie Miller.mov

I don't usually back us if I'm not at the match or we can't see it Live on council TV but because Derek and Tony Doc. were returning to Pittodrie for the first time as a rival management team we did below bet. Not bad for a £25 stake. £2.50 Ash Taylor Anytime Goal (6/1), £7.50 Vincente Besuijen Anytime Scorer (3/1), £12.50 Bojan Miovski To Score Two Or More Goals In Game (7/1)!!! Predicted right number of goals too. Just wrong scoreline! I said £2.50 Aberdeen 3-2 (28/1).

Where does our ex-player go after his release from Raith Rovers? Just sad to see a career go to waste because of what he was convicted of.
-
Are they still banned?? And why did it get to that point in first place? I go to games on my own so don't know half of what goes on with supporters clubs or affiliated groups connected to the team. I prefer to do it alone if I'm honest. Some of our fan base do embarrass me with their behaviour so don't need tarnishing with the same brush. Why I don't wear any Aberdeen clothing attending a match.

Did anybody know this about our ex-player Kyle Macaulay?? https://www.aberdeenlive.news/sport/football/football-news/kyle-macaulay-former-aberdeen-player-7583987

Celtic supporters disrespecting The Queen dying in Warsaw last night has somehow made Talk TV. It made me remember we had a flag or banner at Tynecastle a good few years ago which read; "Business As Usual." What was that all about again??

With the club signing Nadine Hanssen for the Women's side is that a first time we could potentially see a loving couple both represent the team at same time? I believe she is the partner of Kelle Roos. Good topic to start for a Wednesday afternoon. Family connections!

I hear the ex-Sunderland and Ipswich Town striker has just been diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease at 49 years old. More than a decent player when on form.

Earlier this week I got the following pictures from Talk TV presenter Ian Collins on Twitter. January of this year Ian was getting some slack from folk tweeting into his afternoon show regarding said stuff he had been talking about not being interesting enough. I sent a tweet into the studio asking why he wasn't talking about my football team Aberdeen not long signing the most decorated male US college soccer star in 2021 midfielder Dante Polvara. Ian read it out and gave this great spiel given regarding where Dante was born and has continued with Polvara banter I've forwarded ever since even wishing him a happy 22nd birthday live on his show. I'd spoken with our Commercial Director Robert Wicks to enquire if there could be anything done for Mr Collins as a thank you as we'd appreciated Ian's regular engagement with Dante Polvara chat last wee while which had helped improve one's mental health massively. Put me towards Jason Hill at club shop. They got below signed jersey sent down London way. Ian's expression is all I need to know with how his surprise gift went down!!! We do have a special football club people.

Don't know why but I quite like Big Ange. Love the way in this interview when Paul Slane is talking about nearly coming off the bench for Celtic against Benfica in Champions League Ange tries to tell him not to devalue the achievement of just reaching that potential moment or word to that effect.

Anybody feel Connor is a bit like Cameron Smith? Was just never going to be a regular first team player as simply not good enough.
-
Unless I have lost my marbles one saw a stat somewhere last night that in past seventeen matches at Tynecastle Kilmarnock had WON TWELVE, DRAWN TWO, LOST THREE so wasn't that big a result for Derek if going on that recent history.

Don't say that Panda!!

Bit of Lee Seymour and Annan Athletic trivia. I've actually been in the changing rooms and players pavilion at Galabank a couple of times when reporting on East of Scotland side Coldstream for Berwickshire News in early 2000's. Quite a nice gaff which I'm sure might have been modernised since we were last there 2002.
-
Don't get me wrong I'll take them but thought our two penalty awards were awfully soft and I'd be disappointed if given against us.
-
Anybody coming through the Scottish Borders way come and see me please!!! Like to see Dante Polvara starting to see if he can handle something like this game.

One year on from the away goals rule being scrapped.
SeeBass replied to tlg1903's topic in Football Chat
I've been amazed at the amount of teams who would have won on away goals rule before it got scrapped but have eventually lost on penalties after it has been changed, -
It is absolutely scandalous FC Vaduz of Lichtenstein and FC Ballkani from Kosovo, Latvian outfit Skola Riga, Armenian army Pyunik, "Moldovan Men" Sheriff Tiraspol are all making European Group Stage football and us more than anybody have failed to do so on so many occasions. Scottish clubs outside of Old Firm duo just don't have the right mentality for Europe whatsoever. Heart of Midlothian should feel lucky Rangers have performed so well last four years on continent and Russia teams were banned from taking part because of Putin invading Ukraine or else wouldn't have got their consolation prize for failure.
-
Just me or could Kelle Roos have tried a bit harder to get back up on his feet and stop Kevin Van Veen's headed winner? He kind of just stood still and watched the Motherwell forward roll the ball in!! I can't believe how angry his lack of fighting urgency made me feel.

Did I miss a substitution because one thought we'd only made four when Callum Roberts went off injured so a fifth replacement was allowed right????
