  1. ahh. I get it. All our problems are the old firms. Silly me.
  2. you know. Sacking the manager whoever will not change a single thing within afc. I was looking at the champs league groups with copenhagen in there and i wondered how we have got it so so wrong.
  3. Agreed. Our squad is so thin i fear problems those we have now will be ever pfesent.
  4. Why? will Leighton sort out our back line?
  5. Ifil cost us a goal again?
  6. The warning signs are there for MM. Inoted on the BBC interview that his first line of defence is that he has so many players injured. To me this is the defence of a manager who is under pressure. This team is an utter shambles, through design or bad luck. Swapping 'keepers every game, no full backs, the shocking business between foster and velicka injuries and now suspensions we are in bigger trouble than some folk realise.
  7. Sitting back in the first half was the daftest idea. To deliberately invite pressure on the shakiest backiline i have seen in donkeys tears was always going to be fatal.
  8. good news at last...
  9. So there would be more frequent Euro humpings? Brilliant.
  10. thats all fine and well. But if we are conceding at the same rate then its pointless.
  11. surely there must be a decent full back in that team we can use for next week?
  12. In other words No one wants to invest in scottish football (such as sky) because of the complete lack of competition in our league that the old firm have willingly created. BTW re gordon smith's comments about our "co-efficient". Fuck our co-efficient. The old firm have been pissing this away for years. Why is it a concern now?
  13. According to the hun pundits on bbc scotland anti-football is perfectly acceptable for the hun to keep a respectable score away from home. How come when the same tactics are applied (who are much and such the same players) to scotland, negative tactics are not good enough.
  14. The untoachability of SFA referee's is quite frankly disturbing. Our game as a whole suffers because match officials are accountable to no one and there is no avenue to bring a referee's decisions to judgement. Because of this the rerereeing standards remain stagnant as they refuse and are unwilling to learn from thier mistakes. The biggest change to refereeing in recent times was to remove thier location of residence from the matchday programme. Kenny Clark caused me no end of anguish when he was plying his trade at Pittodrie. A hun with a whistle, you're just a hun with a whistle.
  15. Besides, judging by MM comments, he doesnt hold Howard completely responsible for the second goal.
  16. Indeed. I was saying to Jute that our season really starts now. We wil have a better idea as to how we are going to this season do against top six teams and well...
  17. Tumilty had an abortion of a game through the 90 mins. Terrible, terrible decision making. Kenneth is an utter, utter hatchetman, fowling left right and centre and in a parallel universe would have been sent off for persistant fouling. We played not badly for reasonable spells, but our were never gonna come back from 3 down. The above however does not excuse the fact that playing with no full backs against wingers is a disaster. Look at the first goal as an example. Our defenders were huddled together, allowing that space for a shot on goal.
  18. That white circle will be a pain in the arse if he gets a game tho.
  19. what a great start these two shining lights of our youth system are having. Kids from all over the uk will now take note. And sign for somebody else.
  20. Is this ana arguement for artificial pitches to be binned? Looks like we should have replaced one or two others to maintain our league momentum.
  21. Why dont they just have a manny behind the turnstiles looking at folks tickets and/or id's, whilst selling tickets to folk who just turn up on the day? Oh no wait.....
  22. Yes. All i forsee is long que chaos, with a half empty Pittodrie at kick off im afraid.
  23. TBH I wasnt bothered at all until I was at work last night, then I started to gwt excited about the new season realising we have got rid of the depressing faces that were stealing a wage last season and replaced them with at least interesting signings/youth. I also realised that despite the criticism towards MM, he does know how to put a team together and to get them to play. I dontthink it will be the doom and gloom everybody is making out. It is also good to see our captain take responsibilty for press confrences. Not once through all of last seasons problems did our esteemed captaI show face pre or post match.
  24. Yep, 5 for me, We wont bother turning up in our first game. St J will be too organised for us, so hopefully a full haul against killie.
