EE: Possible triple signing swoop including Scott Dobie
capitalsharpie replied to Kowalski's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
I suppose it just goes to show that more goes on behind the dense silence at AFC, which on reflection as we are working to ever tighter budgets is a good thing. It also means that if stuff like this pulls off then its a pleasant surprise. As I previously posted, if we have no reserves, then we may have to accept some players who show promise being farmed out in order to develop them. You never know, it may do Maguire the power of good to be sent to Dundee. Any time in that rat hole and im desperate to get out of there! -
Jager... hav yi no heard rajambos dinna travel. Unless its all the way to easter road.
-
Does this mean that we may, in theory see more players shipped out on a short term basis in order to keep thier fitness levels up and match sharp with not having a reserve league. Another point about no reserves-how are fringe players meant to prove they have come into a bit of form in order to be considered for the first team? Are the SFA hell bent on desrtoying the game?
-
If its not in the central belt then it doesnt need to be done properly. THiss NEEDS to be a proper upgrade to a motorway or it just wont work. If this is the case then Aberdeen as per usual when major ifrastructure projects are dished out get second best. A petition needs to happen to get a REAL WPR which is both useful and safe. Edinburgh or Galsgow wouldnt tolerate second best.

Whats Billy Mcneil doing these days? Would he fancy a job?

Cunt Speaks: "Deflect, Deflect, Deflect"
capitalsharpie replied to glasgow sheep's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
Bain at it again this time in retaliation to DUFC', decision to charge half price at the gate for thier postponed matchch. This seems fair to me, a reduced ticket to cover running costs on the night, but bain has taken the line of "poor hard done by". Apparently about 250 tickets have been sold by the dark side out of protest. A home game against the hun with hardly any filth in attendance? Own goal by the hun, surely? -
Since MM arrived, I actually think Foster has developed his game a bit. Fair enough he still has the occasional horror show, but no where near the likes of last season.

Aberdeen seeking a piece of history
capitalsharpie replied to mizer's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
Listening to MM on RedTV, the attitude of one game at a time is the only way to think. Our squad is so thin, he has to take each game on its own merits. -

Aberdeen seeking a piece of history

We would do the whole of the SPL a favour if we beat those minks at porkhead. It would make the meeja take note that the SPL IS competitive, it will keep the minks from building a points gap so one of "the rest" can hopefully split "them" and it would put pay to the notion that the win against the hun was a fluke. -
no. its just horrible
-
I think its a sensible approach by MM to say to players who are holding us to ransom to say- "ok, your reluctant to re-sign, well we have a list of players who will step in and fill your place. you are no loss to us Have fun with the Stoke reserves."

McGhee slaps £10m pricetag on Fyvie

Mm is being sarcastic with this comment I think -
The way we are playing, I think we will play em off the park. Sportscene sed that rajambos were appaling on saturday. MM will have them up for this. (fingerscrossed smiley).

Perfect to play behind Miller then?

Good versus Evil part deux
capitalsharpie replied to maverick sheep's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
Mcgeady is the one to watch i reckon. The full backs atanding off him allowed him to gain So much territory. We need to hussle him off the park. Samaras could and should be man marked out of the game, whilst someebody with pace (foster)? May take care of Mcdonald. This will be a game where our backline whoever they will be will have to concentrate for 100 minutes. I do however think we will score. -

I was actually surprised to hear dodsy is sportscene last night say tath the ref's performance deteriorated after the sending off as he wasnt sure of it, so his confidence vanished. Good analysis for a change. -

Should we just start with 10 men and be done with it? -

I reckon so. Do you know what we REALLY need to progress? Another environment in which to flourish. Perhaps England would want us? -
True Ajja, but on the other hand, where else in the SPL is there to take advantage of the feeling of injustice other that one of the ugly sisters in thier own back yard? Where all sorts tends to go against us, if we use this mind set that we have at celtic park, then i think we are going to fly from kick off. The old firm are used to decisions and games going against thier opposition, so when the heads go down, the old firm take advantage and grind the other team down. What they are NOT used to however, is a team pulling together and getting a LIFT from this, like what seems to be happening to us just now.

I have just recovered from the hangover incurred from getting it right up those dirty huns, and believe me they are a dirty, dirty bunch. They tried every dirty trick in the book yesterday and got what they deserved. Fuck all. We played some magnificent football at times, whilst the hun reverted to the big HHOOOOFF up the park to hammer thrower boyd. More of a moral victory than anything. I knew the hun were panicking when miller came on. They are a aquad with big, big problems. How they havent dropped more points by now mystifies me. -
The views would certaintly be better than the current main, at least.... You can just about hear a suit far, far away in UEFA land scream at the very suggestion.
-
So why bother with a new stadium at all then? Because the argument of Pittodrie being a little worse for wear seems to be pretty thin as we are all being so negative. Why bother, as a city and football club to attain a brighter future? Maybe we should just knock the main stand down and have a grassy mound instead. Problem solved.

Why? These tournaments are meant to be hosted fot the benefit of the ENTIRE host nation? But instead we have total centralisation over the olympics and the same seems to be happening to the Commonwelath games. If we have to build a stadium that has to comply wirh so many rules and regs ie to play in the champions league, then why not go all out and make it the best we can? God forbid we actually believe in ourselves and try to make a positive statement about Aberdeen City and Aberdeen football club.
