  1. To be honest, this league campaign has been completely uninspiring. We had a dreadful opening to the season, pulled it together up until New Year, but apart from the win against celtic, we seem to be slipping into another poor run of form. If we are to be taken seriously as a competing club we can not afford this. I think we will be lucky to still be in the top six come the split, as our brand of football is so, so poor and even if we end up either fifth or sixth, to throw the Club's comments back into thier teeth, this is a step backwards. we have not maintained stability and we certaintly have not improved our cup form. Will the board begin to panic if season ticket sales are less next season? Couold this may be the deciding factor?
  2. +1 fromm me Chucky. The hatred for this ageing hun will never diminish.
  3. The more you look the more freaky it gets. Make it go away. Please
  4. 24. Making Severin captain
  5. :lolabove: Miller must now realise that this is the feelings of a good amount of the supporters now as opposes to trotting out "the vocal few" lines.
  6. The seige mentality is alive and well I see.
  7. Disappointing? Is that ALL that can be said on behalf of the players about that game? This insipid response seems to be indicative of the players attitude. How about "Im sorry on behalf of the players for the piss poor way the entire team played. We realise it should not have happened again and we will strive to repay the faith that so many supporters have had for so long." Oh but wait...that would be the captains job wouldnt it? And where the fuck is he? No player should have his head above the parapet just now unless its the Captain with words to the above effect. The only thing that is ludicrous is our cup record.
  8. My big concern is motivation however. And i dont think this will change under a new manger with these players. Look at some of our recent results. Four points off the old firm, then losing to Falkirk, QOS, the Unt semi, Hamilton, ICT. Even against Brechin pre-season. This is not just one off cup games, but an endemic attitude when we play so called "lesser" opposition. These players do not have the professional attitude to turn up, put a shift in and do what it takes to beat these teams. The oldfirm do (this pains me to say this), they grind out results when it matters. That is why they have had so much success. Are the supporters of these teams always happy at the WAY they played? God knows we hear enough greetin about it to say no. But they win, regardless. THEY take that "weight of expectation" and turn it into pride of achievement.
  9. Third is a must. If calderwood cannot motivate the players for this, then there is no way back. However. If by some chance we do make European football next season, I actually trust JC more with this than any other manager mentioned as his replacement. Anybody remember the Motherwell/Nancy debacle? Hardly a fine advert for Scottish fitba.
  10. Ha Ha HA! Sez it all really. Peanuts and monkeys and all that!
  11. Thank god for the red tops to bring us the truth. What would we do without them?
  12. Never was a truer word spoke!
  13. Is motivation a big issue within the squad then? We seem to play well against "bigger" team, ie the old firm hertz, and unt, but bugger me, against teams lower in the league and smaller teams in the cup I now KNOW we will struggle for a result. Is it because that some of the players think we now just have to show up for a win and not bother having to put a shift in to break teams down? thoughts?
  14. I completely agree. if we were still sitting fourth or fifth, I think his tune would be, "we have 13 point to make up, that will be our target for the end of the season,to secure third place." Now because it is the prospect of getting higher in the league those point are some sort of psychological unclimbable mountain. Utter pish. Keep the form going, keep the points coming our way and closing in on the weakest hun team in years should be a realistic aim. Ps Fuck giving the hun one iota of respect. Ever. Get INTAE them!!
  15. My god Stoney, get a GRIP!! The team are doing well and more good news happens our way with almost an entire replacement in first team (numerically any way) as internationals? What the fuck does AFC have to do to get any respect or praise? Well done to all these boys, keep working hard and we'll see you at 3 O'clock some saturday in the future!!
  16. But you didnt think of taking them to the Caley end first tho, did you? Cos only a fuck wit would do that. Wouldnt they?
  17. Naw, those boys seemed to have some intellegence. So many reasons to hate the old firm. On reflection it is quite staggering that we have put up with you for so long. Im grateful alright. Grateful i am a Dons fan and stand up and free for everything they dont.
  18. OOOOFFFFF! Who will start this one off then?
  19. Do you have to choke back the tears then?
  20. Right you are. better stamp it out....
  21. Seconded.
  22. Dont be silly, simmies weakness is of occasionally swallowing his own tongue that would be his downfall. :haterangers:
  23. Going or nae going: Going Before the game:undecided Where will you be sitting: RDU upper After the game: harbour pub crawl!!
  24. Oh my god!! The funniest thread I have read in ages!! Aberdeenbasedidiot, can you post now and again in the future when things are a bit slow for discussion? God forbid a club tries to gather a bit of interest in its local area with a bit of good publicity eh? Instead of foisting rantic shops in places like inverness and edinburgh. I hope your kids see the light and support the Dons behind your back. By the way, 4-2. It still hurts. Doesnt it?
