Would that not be a bleedin' obvious calderwood signing? I mean, I heard he of a bit af a drip? I almost had a fit when I heard we were looking at him.

3rd place - lets play with some optimism for a week ?

I dont think it will be a didaster if we need to beat the hun at pittodrie to get into Europe. After all, if they are tired now, imagine what they will be like right at the bitter end? -
Even more reason to sign him and dump him in the reserves!!
-
foul throws, mis timed tackles, embarassing player? He'll be signed by the morn.
-
The way that I will move on is to buy my season ticket for next season, to be positive, to show my support to the CLUB, not Milne, or claderwood and his what may appear according to the speculation a half baked team or anybody else involved in the club at the moment because in time these people will dissapear, but what will carry on is Aberdeen Football Club and its support.

Goodie. More defensive changes as we enter important fixrures.

Before we sign Young, AGAIN?

I cant agree more. Not ONE of those players should be sticking thier heads above the parapet just now, never mind this toe rag waiting out for more money. He should remember that a game like the semi fianal is a show piece event that scouts and managers will take notice of. I dare say they did take notice. Notice to stay the fuk away from over payed pre-maddonas that cant put a shift in when it matters. No BigAl, I was there and the pure and utter rage at that performance has not left me yet. It boils insipidly under the surface, waiting until something like this is brought up.

There seemed to be three or four main points. All of them biggies. The most interestin one was the questioning of SM. Basically that the club is run as hobby and run badly a that. If the west coast media are noticing this (lets face it they can barely face the fact we exist sometimes, never mind be interested in the dealings of the club and how its run), then surely something IS far, far wrong?

I find this a bit o a nightmare. After years in the doldrums with pish managers playing pish players, we fianly manage to get out of the spiral and look to a new future, in the top six, cup runs and back into Europe. Now in HALF A SEASON that looks to be flushed down the pan. Back to terrible goal differences, inconsistent form and most notably of all, a COMPLETE lack of quality in the entire team. If these signings are true, this will be one massive step backwards with regards to the mentality of the powers that be at Pittodrie. At this point in time we have failed to do what any other team would have done and that is to build on the quality that was present last season. It will take Calderwood his entire three years to rebuild to somewhere close to where we were. Fair enough, we werent exactly sorted in every department last season, but we had enough quality in the backbone of the team that one or two places could be filled in with "make do players". If this is the standard of signing hat is going to be made in the close season I will become very worried indeed.

one game at a time -
Alhough this hould have been in the Red Final, it does hit the nail firmly on the head as rgards to the shambles that is our board of directors. I thought it WAS amusing and god forbid we get into the deluded, paranoid mind set of those tattie munchers
-
Self desructing yes. Gifted win? Maybe not judging by the second half display.

Surely misplaced optimism is the very esscence of being a supporter? -
I always get that feeling also. Although working this weekend, Am quite annoyed with myself that I wasnt there.

I too looked at the table this evening and dared to start hoping again. Todays motherwell result went for us, so there is now something to play for. Like you say Ajja, we need to build momentum and look to win ALL our remaining fixtures. Its back to last seasons menatlity of one game at a time. These players owe us after "that" cup game. Now is the time for them to prove themselves. After alll, they were perpetually spouting off about this is where they want to be with regards to fixtures. time to prove it!!!! -
Is it the shopping??
-
resultantly?? izzata wurdmin?
-
Thats sorta my point, since when did the sfa play "to the rules"? They will gub him regardless. The most sensible thing for the sfa to do in the slim chance Diamonds lawyers do put up an argument that will stump those halfwits is to leave it alone.

Tonights EE: Jimmy Lay off the local heroes

Duff wil definately be in the starting line up since he impressed the pants off of tango man last week. -
Butif we can pay that type o money for pish of the standard of Macnamara, then maybe we can pay good money to actually BETTER our squad?
-
I reckon Diamond WILL get criucified for this. It is of the utmost importance to the SFA that despite the admission that brines WAS wrong, all referees must be above the laws and rules of the game and are answearble to no one.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/i/inverness_ct/7364125.stm ICT are skint. Nikaulae from them?? He seems keen enoough to stay in Scotland. 54 goals in 2 seasons??! He seems almost TOO exciting...
-
Aye, i was thinking about the whole scenario, just because he is leaving by mutual consent, surely he still has a year left on his contract and therefore, we are liable for a fee, even a token one?

Does this all stem from the support being completely and utterly fed up of managers, including the tango man of obataining and playing complete dross year on year since Roy Aitkens time and before? I mean the lists of players I have seen on these forums recently, predominantly with names that made me cringe is frightening. At least with local platyers, if they arent graced with Brazil type skill, we would at least hope they would fight and play for the jersey, which what I've seen of Duff for example, he doesnt seem to do. In other words, after being served so MUCH pish for SO LONG, the support has a breaking point?
