    Jockey, Lester Piggott, aged 86.
  8. Sure I read somewhere in the last month or so that his father has been hooring him around clubs and that he isn't half as good as they claim he is.
  9. Definitely not dissimilar mate. Main character in both of those series of books are what I would describe as interesting characters

Fuck sake, missed that one. An unfortunate hat trick apparently.

    Celeb Deaths

Andy Fletcher of Depeche Mode fame. And in a bad day for celebrities Ray Liotta passed away earlier.
  12. I was at the League Cup game
  13. Could have been worse I guess. Dumbarton & Stirling away hopefully
  14. Need a few quality signings before I'd feel even remotely confident of coming through that group unscathed Banana skins everywhere in that. Let's be honest we're going to be a big scalp given it's our first time of actually starting out at this stage since the tournament was revamped.
  15. Did Hinds not also have Laurent D'Jaffo as a partner upfront during Pele's term in charge
  16. Feels weird even thinking about signing Callum Hendry who surely has to have been one of the least inspiring loan signings in our club history. Having said that he did actually show up the big lad with the train like name and the ex Hun who all joined at the same time and at least looked as if he was interested at the time he was with us. Given it has taken him so long to actually get playing and scoring regularly with St J not sure he'd come to us without some form of playing guarantee. Also worth noting that his past isn't exactly littered with scoring streaks, so could be one of coming out of contract and taking things a bit more serious. We've seen this sort of thing time and again in the past. Wonder if he'd have been in Seville with his old man if he hadn't had the play offs to contend with
  17. Still beyond our wage structure also I'd imagine but then again if you don't ask...... you can't be told to fuck off I suppose
  18. Around 2030 and I don't mean 8.30pm
  19. The one with the glass jaw is definitely a miss
  20. Bloody January by Alan Parks Set in Glasgow in the early 70's and featuring Harry McCoy, the most un politically correct police offer ever, even by standards from fifty years ago. Cracking read, helped for me by knowing so many of the city where it is set. Part of a series of books and this is a belter of a start. A new name to me and a welcome addition to the Scottish Noir genre. Already got February's Son (book 2) loaded onto the Kindle and ready to go.
  21. Hurts So Good - John Mellencamp Just thought I'd resurrect this one as it's the close season
  22. Fuck them Dirty, dirty Leeds Those of you of a certain age will know what I'm talking about.
  23. I prefer calling them snakes 24 carot gold cunts
  24. That's a given Jute
