  3. Jesus min, that first line of your post is one hell of a damning indictment of how fucking grim that really must have been to be at Saturday's game. Thank fuck the stream I was using kept cutting out and haven't watched highlights (if indeed there are any ).
  4. And today's mouthpiece is Jonny Hayes. When will they ever learn to just do their talking on the park. Seriously pisses me off, all this spouting off in the media ======================================================================== Jonny Hayes today warned the Dons will not settle to be only second best in Scotland. With Celtic’s huge lead at the top of the Premiership, the Reds’ battle is for second spot this season. However, Hayes insisted Aberdeen will not accept scrapping it out to be the best of the rest in future years. Hayes, who started the 0-0 draw with St Johnstone, aims to be competing with Celtic in a title scrap again and reckons boss Derek McInnes will find the players to achieve that for future campaigns. The Republic of Ireland cap said: “We are never going to settle for just wanting to finish second in the league. “You have to be realistic and realise Celtic have pulled away now and barring a miracle I don’t think anyone is going to catch them “However, we want to progress every year and get better, hit better points targets and win silverware. “We aim to keep improving and the manager will gradually bring in better players year after year to improve the squad to be better equipped in terms of the right end of the league table. “It shows how far we have come that we are disappointed at drawing against a St Johnstone side with a pedigree in Europe. “And we are disappointed at not being second in the league when four years ago we finished ninth.” Aberdeen now trail second-placed Rangers by four points. That gap can be narrowed tomorrow as the Reds play their game-in-hand, against Motherwell at Pittodrie. Hayes said: “It will be like a cup game as Mark McGhee will have his troops fired up and they have some good players. “I caught some of their match against Celtic (4-3 loss) and Motherwell did well in patches. “Our target was three wins from three from the current run of home games but obviously we can’t do that now. “Against St Johnstone, we tried to throw men forward in the latter stages to get three points but left ourselves a little exposed. “You have got to do that as we were never happy to settle for just a point. “Sometimes when you are pushing so hard for a win, and it doesn’t come off, it feels almost like a loss. “But if we beat Motherwell then maybe we will look back and say it has not been such a bad week. “However, we will have to be at the top of our game to get a win.”

  6. Well looks like the media see their accepted state in Scottish football returned to where they'd love it to be. The Brothers Grim the top two in the SPL. Listening and reading to them o'er the weekend it seems like they see the league done and dusted with them finishing in top two positions. Personally think that The Tribute Act are punching above their weight currently but we seriously need to get our shit together as they are scraping out results. Worst nightmare if these cunts finish above us first season ever in the big league
  7. It's a NO from me. Really doesn't look the full shilling
  8. Jeepers, have never heard it referred to as the second one MS
  9. Lewis, O'Connor or Logan for me. Could see the case for Considine but wonder if he is just too nice for the job
  10. OK going to bite....assume those teams are The Victims, Tribute Act, Farts and St Johnstone. This is a classic Ebbe statistics case Put aside The Victims and we have taken six points out of fifteen. Against us the others have taken the following Tribute act - three out of six Farts - one out of three St Johnstone - two out of six See fit i mean min. Cannae say it is exactly brilliant but depends on the spin you want to put on things.
  11. All you that aside, it's still an easy yes
  12. Shite game aye. Fucked off aye Guaranteed to finish behind the tribute act - No Keep the faith min

    Celeb Deaths

An excuse to play one of the finest Xmas songs ever written and recorded. It was not Greg's typical musical style and the message certainly wasn't grasped by many at the time. RIP Greg Lake
  23. Another one with Celtic on his CV Police in Northern Ireland have charged a former Celtic Football Club youth coach with sexual activity with a child. Jim McCafferty, who previously lived in Glasgow and joined Celtic in 1990, now lives in Belfast. He is due to appear at Belfast Magistrates Court on Thursday. He was arrested on Tuesday after presenting himself at a police station in Belfast. He was arrested over offences committed in Northern Ireland. Mr McCafferty initially worked for Celtic as a scout, later becoming one of the club's kit men and working with the youth team. For several years Mr McCafferty worked for other Scottish clubs including Falkirk and Hibs, before moving to Northern Ireland about seven years ago. He is not believed to have worked in football in Northern Ireland in any official capacity.
  24. Dinnae need to think about Dave McKay of St Johnstone as he is Dave McKay ex of St Johnstone. He retired aged 36 earlier this season
