  1. Have heard worse suggestions. Thing is Douglas appears to be one of these footballers that seems to be happy travelling around Europe playing his football, learning new languages and experiemcing different cultures going by an article I read online about him a few weeks back. Added to that, think he is under contract currently in Turkey and not sure what kind of fee he would command
  2. Expect we'll hear of a Derek and Doc signing a contract extension on improved terms in the next couple of days. Got to also think the recruitment drive will move into overdrive in the next week or so as reckon he is so professional that moves will have been happening whilst all of this was going on.
  3. Turning into a good week isn't it. Don't suppose there's any turning back for Johnny Hayes
  4. Lets kick on Signings in next few days hopefully
  5. Deserves it's own thread He's staying
  6. Thought they were holding out for circa £750k. Regardless of who our manager is or isn't, we need a central defender in to replace Taylor. Would have thought that Lindsay is worth a punt at that sort of money
  7. I know I shouldn't but
  8. If you've got a spare ten minutes then click on this link, sit back and have a right good laugh. Plymouth fans views on Adams touting himself for the Aberdeen job. http://www.pasoti.co.uk/talk/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=99878&start=143 P.S Quote from first post on page twelve: "McInnes was paid £700k a year by Aberdeen and Adams would increase his wage by around £600k per annum by taking the job"
  9. The problem here Bobby is that there is so much shite printed in the media you just don't know what to believe. I do however have a sneaky feeling that DM is too bright to join a basket case such as Sunderland even with the wages they're likely to offer. As I've said he should probably see whats on offer wages wise, what commitments they're preapred to make in terms of expectations, timescales and budgets and then pick up the phone and have a chat with David Moyes and compare wht was said to him at time of taking the job. Maybe I'm optimistic here and got my head buried in the sand but I still cling to the hope that he'll talk to them, turn it down and we'll offfer him and Doc a contract extension on improved terms with ome form of release compensation clause included in it
  10. Jesus fuck.
  11. Both teams playing in Europe, so guess it is just to get a game under our belts. Probably non contact game.
  12. If true then surely that constitutes "tapping up"
  13. "Shoot" league tables...now christ there's a trip down memory lane Right up there with Esso football club badges and the Texaco (??) World Cup coins
  14. Takes a woman to put a positive spin on things Well done Hebrew
  15. Hope McInnes has got the good sense to have a phone call with David Moyes before he puts pen to paper. Wouldn't trust anything that Hun cunt Bain said. Heavily involved in the granting of EBTs as well as having benefited from one himself.
  16. Fuck He might still NO though
  17. https://www.eveningexpress.co.uk/fp/aberdeen-fc/dave-cormack-want-keep-derek-mcinnes-dons/ Listen to Dave's interview. Basically a big fuck off to Bain, Smith and all The Mackems
  18. NO NO & THRICE NO As Frankie would have said
  19. Maybe I'm being overly optimistic here, but the deal isn't done yet, or at least hasn't been rpeorted as being done and dusted. Got a sneaky feeling that the longer this drags on, the more chance there is that it may not happen and that DM will hang about for another few years
  20. If any truth whatsoever in it, I would agree that DM must have recommended. However given the source, more likely to be a crock of shit
  21. Fucking hell Just when I thought it couldn't get any worse
  22. Surely only the first three on that list could be serious contenders We're fucked if we're scrabbling about at the bottom end of that list. Will wait until he is officially away and had time to think about it before voting.
  23. And in further news if my Auntie Mabel had a set of ball she'd be my Uncle Bob Regarding Strachan, I very much doubt he has learned a thing, arrogant little prick that he is. My interest in the national team would dramatically improve just by his removal from the managers job
