  1. Is he gay or have they had a fall out ?
  2. Feel for those losing their jobs, but this was done in typical cowardly Hun fashion by the looks of it
  3. Another three goals for the u20's today
  4. In M77 Main Stand (assume this is where we are seated again) M77 1-2 Goodie & McGinn
  5. An arrest warrant has been issued for former Rangers owner Craig Whyte following an investigation into the club's sale in 2011, it is understood. The development came after four men were detained in England. David Grier, Paul Clark and David Whitehouse worked for Duff and Phelps, who were Rangers' administrators. Gary Withey worked for law firm Collier Bristow, which represented Craig Whyte before he bought Rangers from Sir David Murray for £1 in 2011. The four men were held during early morning raids at addresses across the UK in an operation that involved officers from Police Scotland, Surrey Police, Cheshire Police and Thames Valley Police. Police Scotland have been investigating the sale of Rangers from Sir David Murray to Craig Whyte for more than a year. A spokesman for Police Scotland said: "Four men have been detained as a result of the ongoing investigation into the alleged fraudulent acquisition of Rangers Football Club. "Around 6am on Friday, Police Scotland officers, assisted by officers from Thames Valley Police, Cheshire Police and Surrey Police, attended a number of addresses in England and detained four men." Duff and Phelps spokesman Marty Dauer said the firm was aware that three employees in the UK had been "detained for questioning in connection with work performed for Rangers Football Club". He said this work "was commenced while these employees were part of MCR Partners, prior to its acquisition by Duff & Phelps in October of 2011". He added: "Duff & Phelps has performed an internal investigation and commissioned an independent investigation of the related matters. "As a result, we believe that our work for Rangers was conscientious, thorough and properly performed in every respect. "Duff and Phelps has actively co-operated with all relevant investigating authorities throughout this process." Mr Dauer said a subsequent review by the Insolvency Practitioners Association in 2013 had "cleared the firm of any wrongdoing or conflict of interest" over its involvement with Rangers. Rangers manager Ally McCoist said: "Obviously I can't or wouldn't comment on a current police matter, but I would have to say I'm shocked. "Obviously I can't pre-judge what is going to happen. "Our concern has always been for the staff and supporters. What's happened to us in the last two-and-a-half, three years has been very tough, particularly on the staff and supporters. "We just want to continue with our attempts to get the club back to where we feel we belong." The development is the latest twist in a three-year saga involving Rangers. Mr Whyte bought Rangers from Sir David Murray for £1 in May 2011 and gave an undertaking to settle its £18m Lloyds Bank debt. It later emerged he paid the debt by selling three years of season tickets to finance firm Ticketus for £25m. Rangers entered administration on 14 February 2012, while under Mr Whyte's control, over non-payment of tax totalling about £14m. Mr Clark and Mr Whitehouse from Duff and Phelps were appointed as joint administrators. HMRC subsequently rejected a creditors agreement which would have allowed Rangers to exit administration. That resulted in Charles Green's consortium taking control and Rangers being accepted to play in the Scottish Third Division. The administration and subsequent liquidation of Rangers resulted in Mr Whyte's deal with Ticketus being declared void. The finance firm successfully sued him for £18m over the failed deal. Mr Whyte was later banned from being a company director for the maximum period of 15 years after a judge heard his conduct in dealing with Rangers was "shocking and reprehensible".
  6. BOOOOOOOOOOOO Burton has apologised to Rangers for selling a T-shirt with an altered image of the club's founders and the slogan: "underworld division champions". Fans of the Ibrox club contacted the retailer after images of the T-shirt went viral on social media. Burton said it wished to "apologise unreservedly for any offence" and said it had removed the item from sale. The retailer said it was "unaware of any connection to Rangers" and "any reference was purely inadvertent". In a statement, Burton said: "We wish to apologise unreservedly for any offence caused by the T-shirt displayed on our website. It has been removed from the site and will not be re-appearing. "We would like to assure you that we were unaware of any connection to Rangers Football Club and any reference was purely inadvertent. "Thank you for bringing it to our attention and allowing us to rectify the situation."
  7. The gift that just keeps on giving Warrant to be issued for the arrest of Craig Shyte as well. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-glasgow-west-30053692
  8. Fuck sake min, where were you
  9. Your point is correct of course, but this is always the problem when you start doing polls for "greatest" whatever. It is always heavily influenced by more recently remembered players. The same applies when you question people on greatest ever song. A load of great (in my opinion) tracks from years ago get lost.
  10. Tom, on the right is photo of Guns founding fathers or original team or some shit like that. On the left is a t shirt put on sale in Burton's shops. The writing on it is what makes it. The Zombies are in melt down over it and have created a boycott Burton's and been e mailing them. Unfortunately the item appears to have been withdrawn from sale now on their website.
  11. Feeling dirty, but had a sneaky look on RM ( initially to read the post about Burton's t shirt) and there is three pages about them signing him. Arrogant fuckwits don't even acknowledge the fact that Shinnie might go elsewhere. AFC should buy out contract in January and chuck in someone like Joe to sweeten ICT. Thing is, if we put cash on the table then Zombies are going to struggle to match.
  12. Bastard.. was going on my Xmas list for a certain friend of mine
  13. No such thing Mr Brown, and to think they accuse us of living in the past.
  14. Ditto. Eleven goals for us in those appearances including our first ever goal in European football.
  15. Christ Bobby, nae easy to do this, but here goes in no particular order: Snelders, Miller, McLeish, McMaster (scandal he never got a single Scotland cap ) Buchan, Harper, Weir, Gillhaus, Bett & Jess
  16. Filthy rag, but cracking article in the Record today. Just love the bit about the Zombies greeting in their cornflakes ABERDEEN’S annual accounts used to get shoved through the shareholders’ letterboxes every year and land with a thud. Folk would be terrified to open them up because the contents inside were getting more gruesome every 12 months. Not this time. This year’s report looked so good it could have come off the top shelf and delivered in a brown envelope. Congratulations, your club? is debt free. Talk about a pre-Christmas bonus. There’s no better feeling than that final mortgage payment (so I’ve been told), paying off the car (so I’ve been told ) or that last standing order from your loan (so I’ve been told). Even your pal telling you to forget about that score he chucked you the other week is pretty nice (so I’ve been told). But to have nearly £15million wiped from the accounts in one fell swoop is cause for another parade down Union Street. The Dons lifting the League Cup last season was pretty special. Lifting the debt is absolutely huge. They might not have gone on about it but Aberdeen were being crippled by their borrowings. Having to stump up half a million every six months on repayments was like trying to run a marathon with a sumo wrestler on your back. Sooner or later the strain was going to tell. The club was balancing the books but the dirty great big debt beast was dominating everything. The new stadium was in development hell, the training ground on ice, and Derek McInnes’s budget couldn’t budge. Now they are free – and more importantly they’ve got out of the hole without having to sell their souls. No stadium rights, no merchandise deals, no car park securities or henchmen in the boardroom. Aberdeen secured their financial boost the good old fashioned way – from local people who have the club’s best interests at heart. Stewart Milne has received a kicking over the years but he’s taken the hits and continued to bankroll the club. Along with Aberdeen Asset Management they have ploughed in the dough and instead of waiting to be repaid they have continually transferred loans into shares. Those guys have managed to keep the club afloat but now it will be full steam ahead thanks to a couple from Stonehaven. Willie and Elaine Donald have sunk in the dosh to allow Milne to clear the £10m loan with the bank and wipe out the £15m club debt. In return? A chunk of shares but not much else. Certainly not the family gold or control of the boardroom. We‘ll have to wait to next month’s agm to discover if they want to rename Pittodrie the Willie and Elaine Area but somehow I doubt it. The couple were determined to put something back in to the club and community but wanted to do it on the quiet. Not because they are shadowy figures looking to pull the strings in the background for their own gains. They’ve only been named because under financial rules they had to be. They just wanted to continue to have a quiet life, supporting their team and their region. No doubt there will be Rangers fans greeting into their cornflakes reading this as it’s impossible to ignore the contrast. The soaring success of last term shot Aberdeen’s turnover through the £11m barrier and boosted the wages kitty to more than £6m. That won’t be going unnoticed in boardrooms all around the country. Celtic aside, those figures blow the rest of the Premiership out of the water. It’s also not a kick in the backside off what Rangers are spending right now. The Dons are in place to really lay down the gauntlet in the next couple of years. There might even be more scope for investing in the team. Rangers have been so focused on working out how they can eventually compete with Celtic they’ve taken their eye off the ball. It looks like it will be hard enough for them to compete with Aberdeen.
  17. http://m.stv.tv/sport/football/clubs/inverness/299481-graeme-shinnie-closer-to-inverness-ct-exit-after-rejecting-new-deal/ Graeme Shinnie has moved a step closer to leaving Inverness CT after turning down a new contract. The 23-year-old's current deal expires in the summer and so far the defender and the club have been unable to come to an agreement on fresh terms. Aberdeen expressed an interest in the player over the summer and Shinnie's agent Clive Hart confirmed to STV that the player looks likely to depart the Highlands. He told the Daily Express: "I have spoken to to the Inverness chairman Kenny Cameron and told him that it looks like Graeme Shinnie will be leaving at the end of his contract. "Inverness have offered Graeme a new contract but we have turned it down. "Graeme has had some great times at Inverness and is really enjoying his football under John Hughes, but feels he is now at a stage of his career where he wants to try something different, whether that be in England or Scotland."
  18. Officially announced that Shinnie has confirmed that he will not be extending his stay in Inverness. Keen to further career either elsewhere in Scotland or south of the border
  19. Welcome on board Tommy and thanks for your insight into the Donald's background
  20. Looks like there might be a bit more to this than first meets the eye. Donald's invest hard cash which goes straight to the bank. Bank takes said cash and in return write off agreed level of funding greater than value of cash given to them. This is the same principle as both Arabs & Killie used. AAM & Stewart Milne convert debt to share holding and hey ho the club are debt free and no longer have the burden of seven figure debt servicing hanging round their neck Armagedon eh ? Fucking loving it
  21. Tyrant The Donald's have put up the "bulk" of the money and become major shareholders in return. AFC debt free and the inherent servicing costs GONE
  22. Oh ya beauty Fantastic news Well done to all involved
  23. Christ out of the frying pan and into the fire
  24. Nolberto Solano set to be named new Motherwell manager with a South American consortium taking over ownership. (Daily Mail)
