Picked up a copy of Duncan Shearer's book for my kindle ( Fear not Andrew, I paid for it via amazon, albeit at something like £1.49 or so ). Pretty much half way through it and can't say its exactly the most enthrawling book I've ever read.... in fact it is pretty poor, littered with spelling and gramatical errors and doesn't look as if it has been proof read pre publication. Didn't remember the sotry about Inglis battering Deano whilst he was lying on the treatment table at Pittodrie, although it may well be that the club managed to keep a tin lid on it back then.

DEFENDER Michael Hector today revealed he is desperate to return to Aberdeen FC for the rest of the season. The 21-year-old has been recalled to parent club Reading following the 1-0 win over Kilmarnock. Hector is set to have talks on his future tomorrow with Reading boss Nigel Adkins and Director of Football Nick Hammond. And the stopper is ready to argue his case in a bid to return to Pittodrie. He said: “I want to stay at Aberdeen and if it was up to me I would have signed up here early doors. “I will go in tomorrow to see the manager and director. “I am going to ask politely if I can come back to Aberdeen. “If not I cannot really argue as Reading are my parent club. “They have quite a few injuries but hopefully those players will be back fit soon and I will see what happens from there.” Dons boss Derek McInnes has confirmed he wants to thrash out a fresh loan deal for Hector.

Purely my own opinion, but think we need to pick our battles and don't actually think this is one we will win, so no appeal from me. On side issue, would love to punch that prick Pasquali's (??) face in. Notice him trying to do the refs job and pointing off the park immediately at Low

I was there missus...all you need is to know the right people and hey ho...complimentary ticket for away end Important three points today against a "stuffy" but not very good Killie team. Observations on today: Wind spoilt the game Uneven playing surface spoilt game We were our own worst enemies and created all their chances in the first half. Foolish and naïve from Low and probably referee called it right. The above apart the referee probably called everything else wrong...e.g the assault on Pee Paw just before half time when ref watched red card tackle on Pawlett and then called it back for a hand ball by him simply ot avoid making the decision to send off Killie player. Hayes is NOT a left back, and could and probably have been hooked at half time. Fortunately a lot better in second half. Killie really have an absolutely SHITE support Hector was really emotional at the end, and I think he could be back for second half of the season if he got his way. Fucking baltic weather Top Don....step forward Jamie Langfield... ok couple of dodgy kick out but ball bobbling across surface and swirling wind did him no favours, but couple of decent stops and never looked like being beaten. Onwards and upwards.....fucking love being a Don again after all these years. COYR

THE Dons have today signed Swansea City defender Alan Tate until the end of the season. The 31-year-old arrived at Pittodrie this morning and passed a medical. Aberdeen FC were due to officially unveil the Englishman as their first January signing at a press conference this afternoon. Tate is a former Swansea captain and has played in every defensive position. Having started his career through the ranks at Manchester United, the Englishman has made over 300 appearances in 12 years for Swansea. But he has been told by manager Michael Laudrup that he is free to leave the club in the summer. His loan spell at Yeovil Town was cut short earlier this season when he picked up a hamstring injury. Tate was a key member of the Swans side which propelled itself through the divisions and into the Premier League under Roberto Martinez and Brendan Rodgers. However, his career was stalled in 2011 when he broke his leg in a golf buggy accident. Dons boss Derek McInnes has brought in the defender as a replacement to outgoing loanee Michael Hector. Hector is due to return to Reading on Sunday, following a successful loan spell at Pittodrie.

Right guys got a dilemma here...... Stated when Johnston voted the way he did, that I wouldn't pay to get back in that ground despite the fact it is closest SPL ground to me. Part of me says I'm still not giving a penny of my cash to him, but the other part would like to go on Sunday. Other dilemma is that last season was first time I missed an Aberdeen game there since I moved down here in the summer of '94, and low and behold our results there start improving. Should I stay at home or should I go lads

All seems to have gone quiet on that front. And see the "baby faced assassin" has taken the Cardiff job. Odds upon him seeing out the season are not exactly favourable.

Had a good laugh reading Arab Mad..... great quote (translated in English) GMS should have attacked the boy Hector who is shite and their weakest link Laughable also to see them starting to reluctantly acknowledge what they always knew ....i.e Willo is a player

Might be down to the fact that it is officially declared salaries only

Longer it went on, the more nervy it became. Followed a typical pattern of total domination with little to show for it. Sometimes we really are our own worst enemy. However got to admit pretty happy to have as many victories by the end of the year as we managed all of last season. COYR

Absolute fucking joke..... As I have previously said, MacKay can walk away with his head held high and genuinely believe his CV enhanced for what he achieved in getting them into Premiership. Tan however......words fail me

Clangers haters are out in force on a.n.other site tonight big time. Don't think I've ever read so many negative comments as you get over there. Makes you wonder why some of them actually bother claiming to support us. Can someone please confirm my suspicion that we have ten outfield players that are supposed to protect Clangers ? Thought defensively (collectively i.e no one individual) we were shocking in that second half. Anyone want to dispute that they'd have been happy going into Xmas joint second....

Never in doubt Bit like Mrs Al driving.......never got out of third gear COYR

And quite fucking right..... I mean what the fuck does he expect. Any clown with have a degree of realism, would know that success for a club like Cardiff in their first season in EPL, represents finishing the season no lower than 17th. Personally think that Malky MacKay has done a superb job at Cardiff, and he should sit it out, continue to let Tan make a total cunt of himself, await the sacking, take the pay off, and he will still be able to walk away with his head held high and there will be plenty of other job offers coming his way
