Fuck sake.... didn't know about this until now. Two Ronnies were brilliant in their day. Met Ronnie Corbett about fifteen years ago. Was at the driving range one morning about 9am. I was using third or fourth bay down and no one else there. A particularly vertically challenged male suddenly appeared in bay number one, furiously hitting balls After about ten minutes, said male walks over and asks me if I wanted the remaining half of his bucket of balls as he needed to leave for his tee time on Royal Troon. Despite this, he then proceeded to converse with me for a full ten minutes until his driver appeared in telling him they had to go. What you saw was what you got, an absolute gentleman. RIP Mr Corbett

Obviously watching on iPlayer as it finished on Sunday night. Won't spoil it by giving away the plot, but doubt you'll be disappointed.

Know what you mean Tom, but I remember a few years ago signing a guy called Steve Archibald from lower league and he didn't turn out too badly. Sometimes think we avoid taking risks on players from lower Scottish League football and instead take gambles on the likes of Tom Jones and Calvin Zola from lower league English football.

Have heard the rumour (not on here obviously) that we pretty much have him on a pre contract. May or may not however prove to be a complete load of shite.

Feel dirty saying this but it was at Parkhead against The Victims in a European game (1982) I think it was. Only went with a couple of mates as it was likely to be the only chance I would have to see him play. In the twilight of his career, but still possessed a great footballing brain.

Lucky enough to have seen him play.

I was one of the biggest advocates for Shankland getting a decent chance with us as opposed to the five minutes off the bench that he was used to getting, however I am starting to come around to thinking that maybe that ship has sailed. Six goals in twenty two starts in the championship isn't exactly inspiring. It does however make me think why we have no one coming through that appears to be an out and out goalscorer. Whatever happened to the boy Nuttall we brought in from Man City ?
