    Tonights tipple

Aye fucking right Bet you'll be spitting feathers by the time you get your next drink
  2. Its not an "ears arse" Simply arse, merely sorted your spelling error
  3. Think you misunderstand me Jager. Prepared to give management the credit for finding the lad, but my point is that given the fact that Sone has played with him through the age groups for Engerlund, chances are he'll have phoned Sone to ask about coming to AFC, and Aluko has done the selling job to him
  4. Vidal became the second consecutive Manchester City youngster to sign on loan for Grimsby Town in as many seasons, following the signing of Shaleum Logan at the same time in the previous season. He signed on an initial one month loan at Grimsby on the 1st September 2008, he was meant to sign 3 days previously but returned to Manchester following a Friday training session in Grimsby.Vidal made his professional debut in the clubs 2-2 draw with Chesterfield in the Football League Trophy 1st Round at Saltergate. He was used as a second half substitute, and the club went on to win 4-1 in the penalty shoot out. He made his league debut on the 6th September against Gillingham as a second half sub for Jamie Clarke. Vidal returned to the Eastlands after playing a total of five games for Grimsby in all competitions. "Jav reminds me of Earl Barrett in many ways - he's a rubber man who bounces all over the place with great athleticism.. He's played for England under 19s this year and, like the rest of the lads, he will benefit immensely from playing alongside senior players" said Jim Cassell in the Official Manchester City annual 2008
  5. Yep didn't take long...wonder if he'll be hair today, gone tomorrow
  6. Wonder if Sone has had some influence in getting the lad to come north ?

  9. P.S You're forgiven
  10. Moi, Bobo, or baith of us
  11. This is going to start coming across as if I've got it in for Mackie. I accept he does ok some of the time, but this is part of our problem we are prepared to accept someone like Mackie doing alright some of the time. If we continue to accept mediocrity like this then we're never going to move to the next level. I accept that he is ok for backup, but our playing budget doesn't allow for a massive squad and genuinely think, regardless of his wage, it could potentially be better spent on a.n.other. Anyone planning on going to Mackie's testimonial if he's still here next season
  12. Surely not if it kept a proper footballer out of the team
  13. Who Mackie's never heard of Lazio
  14. So you went for three then ? Defeat to the Tattie Howkers, and victory against the Huns
  15. I'll concede that as well, but not convinced he really did that much else. Weigh that up against his number of one on one misses, free header v Hamilton etc
  16. In fairness Ally, I'll certainly give you the Hearts game just after Xmas, as one of Mackie's better performances for us, but as to whether I'd stretch that to walking away thinking I've got to sign that guy, thats another matter Folk go on about Mackie's pace, I'll admit he has got pace, but it certainly isn't what it used to be, and I'll give you the aggression part. He certainly does seem to have devloped a nasty streak to his game. Sorted that little fucker out at Rugby Park on Tuesday night
  17. Would gladly take the same as we got for Chris Clark this time last year However, taking all of this with a pinch of salt and sense it could be agent talk to force AFC's hand. In all honesty can anyone think of a game recently where a scout could of watched Mackie and walked away thinking we've got to get that guy
  18. I can reveal it is a head injury
  19. In true well worn fashion, here we go again, set ourselves up for a fall. All in favour of optimism, but keep it behind closed doros and out of the papers. Why do we continually feel the need to shout off about how we're going to do this and that....just fecking go do it. Rewind a couple of weeks, Foster spouting off about how we weren't getting the recognition for our good run, what happens......2-0 to Hamilton When will we learn......do the talking during the game
  20. Would be nice, but first offer of thirty pieces of silver will see him away, and us back up shit creek with Mackie and McGuire leading our front line
  21. Ref managed to book four players as result of this incident, including Taouil, who shortly after had a blatant dive and didn't get the second card it merited.
