  1. Had a bairn down south and used to head off to see it post every match. Dinnae think that mother of said bairn and him were still an item
  2. Totally agree about Hignett, different class to those around him
  3. Is the correct answer If my memory serves me correctly it was off the back of a four goal pumping at Rugby Park. Was it Miller that brought £8k a week Hignett to Pittodrie
  4. Nigel Pepper played only played a handful of games for us if i remember despit the £300k + transfer fee. His two claims to fame in his footballing career were his red card for us straight after coming off the bench and once playing for York city when they beat Man U 3-0
  5. Miller's AFC record P W L D Aberdeen 21-11-1997 08-12-1998 43 11 19 13 Nae a happy time Was responsible for pissing away £700k on Robbie Winters and throwing Billy Dodds into the mix Ooopps, Der bomber beat me to the Dodds story. Anyone got any good memories of Alex Miller
  6. Relly not a very good idea Niall, feelings run high on this subject. Trust me if you'd been around in those days you'd have been trampled in the stampede against Miller
  7. Mildly pedantic, but correct nonetheless
  8. FFS Reekie as if i wasn't in a bad enough mood already [ first day back to work after a fortnight off ] you have to go and post that ! Amazing how the very mention of alex "fucking" Miller still stirs such strong emotions Going to be a long long day
  9. Why not Robert Plant - Big Log
  10. Nothing here Jog on
  11. Reckon it is over a year since he was there
  12. Completely and utterly out of his depth. Sad thing for me is that Shearer's status was damaged in some folk's eyes by always being by his side.
  13. Indeed, anyone got Luggy's mobile number ?
  14. 100% Agree. But Drinkell will have filled his head with stories of a land filled with milk and honey
  15. Bit of a generalisation that surely
  16. Are there any direct quotes in said P&J article attributable to Mulgrew or his agent ?
  17. Can i tell him you're in for twenty as well ?
  18. Well I for one am at last delighted to see the club stick up for us. Lost count of the number of times as a club the good ship AFC have rolled over and royally taken one up the arse. Intend e mailing Willie later on and volunteering to start the fund to cover the fine with a £20 donation. Just proves its never too late to grow a set
  19. Apparently not as bad as first feared and out for four to six weeks, as opposed to the first thought months in plaster. Being a young lad will hopefully heal quickly but Dingus shouldn't rush him back too early.
  20. And probably on 5% of Balde's wage at the Howkers
  21. Roseanne Cash - The Wheel
  22. Away on holiday on Wed, and just started my holiday read yesterday. "Shantaram" by Gregory David Roberts described by the Daily Telegragh as a "literay masterpiece" and early impressions are they're not wrong. Tells the story of a convicted Australian armed robber and heroin addicts escape to India, where he lived in a Bombay slum. where he established a free health clinic and joined the Mafia, working as a money launderer, forger and street solidier. He found time to learn Hindi & Marathi, act in Bollywood and fought with the Mujahadeen in Afghanistan. Book runs to over 900 pages and ought to keep me entertained lying in the sun.

    Tonights tipple

San Miguel is a beer from the Gods in comparison to the pish called Tropical that they sell in parts of the Canary Islands. Ice cold pint of Estrella Damm is hard to beat though.
