  1. Exactly as i've said a number of times, so totally agree with you GS. If you have a chief that doesn't commit, then can you really expect the indians to do so. Calderwood is and remains the key to all of this.
  2. Guess my lack of student education shines through Jim
  3. Rumoured to be £3.5k to £4k per week but never confirmed
  4. Out of curiousity how much is that, since as you're in the know
  5. Preciously my sentiments also
  6. www.thisisaberdeen.co.uk
  7. Don't really think it comes as any great surprise but good news none the less, Aluko's loan spell is being extended to the end of the season. Heading south after tomorrows game to tie up the loose ends
  8. Dons striker Lee Miller insists he is ready to commit his future to the Pittodrie club - provided the deal is right. The 24-year-old is out of contract in the summer, and is free to talk to other clubs. Miller is one of seven Aberdeen players whose contracts expire in the summer, and a string of strong performances will have alerted teams to his availability. Barry Nicholson, Michael Hart, Zander Diamond, Richie Byrne, Steve Lovell and Derek Soutar are all free to leave at the same time as Miller. But the former Falkirk hitman is ready to sign on. He said: "I am out of contract in the summer, and we will need to wait and see what happens with the boys that have been offered deals, and with the gaffer as well. "Jimmy has expressed that he wants to keep me, and we will just need to see what the club can come up with. "Things are going well just now, and the club are going in the right direction, so hopefully we can get things sorted out. "We need to put that to the back of our minds and concentrate on the games we have just now. "If the offer is right I am willing to stay. I have a young family and am getting married in the summer, so hopefully we can get things sorted out."
  9. Chunk tbh there is nothing to report other than that which is alluded to in the front page of this thread
  10. And is keen to stay IF the deal is right, according to the EE. Article not online yet, so unable to copy and paste. why don't we withdraw the offer to Chris Clark and offer his money to Miller instead
  11. Edited: Sharpie, you have a PM.
  12. You're fucking right I did mate.
  13. In fairness exactly what I said also when I saw those two incidents Ajja
  14. well said that man
  15. C'mon lad...... spit it oot
  16. The vote is currently sitting at 50% for both outcomes.
  17. Of course you're right about that, but was just trying to highlight the uneven playing field we're operating in. Another example was pre season, myself and the bairn went down to St James for game against Juve. Fiver for a thirteen year old and a tenner for an auld fucker like me. Contrast that against us, who wouldn't take a friendly against Ajax, because we couldn't guarantee to cover their costs.
  18. Personally I blame the 67 that are staying away this season Good post by the way mate Cost is without doubt a huge issue, obviously made worse because of the number of games we are being faced with just now [ albeit wouldn't have it any other way ] My son's mate and his father went down to a Bolton game o'er Xmas and paid £20 for the pair of them to get in. We went to Love Street on Sat and were £30 for us, and yesterday were £29 at Pittodrie. Enough said
  19. BTR, I read Barca a couple of years ago on holiday and thoroughly enjoyed it. Having said that can understand why you find it a bit heavy in parts but felt it was necessary to present the full importance of the part the club plays in the history of the region and its people
  20. In fairness to them though Drew, Falkirk are probably long overdue something from us. Been a few games of late where Falkirk have put a lot into the games, and rather harshly ended up with nothing
  21. Well as I've said elsewhere, I'd take a win in the cup and a draw in the league, but if it had tobe a win/lose scenario, then I'd take a cup win, and a league defeat. The cup is obviously a one off, but the loss of three league points whilst disappointing can be recovered from.
  22. Think thats extremely optimistic Drew. Cannae see it happening to be honest. Reckon I'd be happy with a draw in league game and a cup victory
  23. Tis a tough one this Should we cut off our noses to spite our faces The abuse i heard, sitting in Section X of SS yesterday towards Barry Nich by one individual was pathetic because he hasn't signed his offer. Interesting to note the individual concerned didn't hang around for the second half. Said it before, and I'll say it again JC is the key ot all of this, show some commitment yourself Calderwood instead of slating the out of contract players and I think you'll see a different picture emerge............ with the exception of Clark, who apparently allegedly has to leave Aberdeen
  24. Cannae disagree, but it was marginally better than Love Street. Just got home about half an hour ago, and todays positives for me: 1. Three points 2. Another voucher for Bayern game 3. At last starting to thaw oot as on my third Jack Daniels Hard pushed to think of much else to be honest.
