  2. But why would they need one of those?! I thought they'd signed Malkowski....... Guess I rest my case then
  3. Thought exactly the same myself about Gus McPherson as I thought that the St Midden board and supporters were pretty happy with what he has done there. Collins from memory is at something like 10/1
  4. See Gretna are desperately seeking a new keeper.
  5. Read the odds in the papers this morning for the first managerial change in the SPL this season. Gus McPherson favourite @ 7/2 ahead of the new " permanent" Hearts manager Our own JC rank outsider @ 25/1 apparently.
  6. Currently 1-0 down
  7. Arab Contractors 0 Aberdeen 0 Half time Aberdeen are playing Arab Contractors this evening in their first group match of the inaugural Al Ettehad Football tournament. RedWeb will try and bring you score updates from the match, but much depends on the communications from Egypt. A match report on the game will appear later. The match kicked off at 19:30 UK time. The starting line up for tonight is: Soutar, Hart, McNamara, Mair, Nicholson, Severin, J. Smith, Foster, Clark, Lovell, Mackie. Subs: Kelly, Miller, Diamond, de Visscher, Maguire.
  8. Okey dokey mate. didn't know it was in the EE last night.
  9. Nae matter what you think about Dick as footballer, he certainly hasn't had his problems to seek on the fitness front over the past couple of years.
  10. Nae defending the fat postie, but in fairness to him he is just regurgitating the piss reported in most of todays rags
  11. Where is this quote taken from............ just curious becvause if it was possible to be taken out of context to put a positive spin upon it, I'm sure AFC would be doing so
  12. I can think of £6m reasons why this won't happen. Apparently this is the Bolton are looking for.
  13. Agree with what Bobby said above. This would be extremely disappointing if indeed true, and certainly takes the edge of the good end to last season. If the club are desperate to sell Cadger, then for fuck sake surely they should be trying ot sitr up a bidding war, instead of just taking the first offer that actually comes their way.
  14. Pretty sure we signed Mason from Gronigen [ sp ? ] and paid £200k for him. Then again maybe the heat down here is playing havoc wie the grey cells. Christ what I'd give for a Paul Mason in mid field these days though.
  15. Having had time to reflect on all that has been said in the papers, I've got a sneaking suspicion that you may well be right. Would certainly of made for an interesting evening on Sat if JC had been invited and attended See I bet JC was invited, but I'm thinking he maybe just stayed in Majorca. Incidentally I saw in the P&J announcements that Dazza was married last Saturday (2nd). He obviously had a much quieter and well behaved stag night! Typical woman, reading the hatchs, matchs and dispatchs

  19. Aye was wondering this myself loon. Is it reported on Northsound this morning ?
  20. Doesn't look too good for Langfield. Seems to have fecked aff Calderwood big time...... if of course you believe what is printed in the Record DONS AXE BAD BOY LANGFIELD By Ian Orr JAMIE LANGFIELD has been slapped on the transfer list by Aberdeen after a series of off-field incidents. The 26-year-old keeper, who was in Scotland's squad in the Faroes, has had the offer of a new contract withdrawn and been warned there is no future for him at Pittodrie. Just last month the Dons rejected a £70,000 bid from Rangers for Langfield, who manager Jimmy Calderwood rated the best in the country after Hearts' Craig Gordon. But the keeper's world turned on its head during his stag party this month in Majorca where Calderwood and assistant Jimmy Nicholl have holiday homes. It is understood Langfield was seen drunk and abusive in Magaluf and his conduct was witnessed by his manager. After two earlier breaches of discipline, Calderwood decided his behaviour was unacceptable and instructed director of football Willie Miller to sell him. Langfield has apologised but this has not altered Aberdeen's decision. He will be held up to his team-mates as an example of what will befall them if they step out of line. Langfield's fall from grace leaves mentor Calderwood searching for another keeper. If he doesn't find a club, Langfield will see out the remaining year on his contract in the reserves with Derek Soutar certain to be first choice. Calderwood, who signed Langfield on a free from Dunfermline, didn't comment.
  21. 'Tis a fair point also.
  22. Can't for the life of me see that we've signed Jackie Mac without planning on him being a automatic starter.
  23. I soooooooooo hope we're not all going to be disappointed here
  24. Welcome to the board Andy and welcome to the good ship AFC Jeffrey
