  1. C'mon lad...... spit it oot
  2. The vote is currently sitting at 50% for both outcomes.
  3. Of course you're right about that, but was just trying to highlight the uneven playing field we're operating in. Another example was pre season, myself and the bairn went down to St James for game against Juve. Fiver for a thirteen year old and a tenner for an auld fucker like me. Contrast that against us, who wouldn't take a friendly against Ajax, because we couldn't guarantee to cover their costs.
  4. Personally I blame the 67 that are staying away this season Good post by the way mate Cost is without doubt a huge issue, obviously made worse because of the number of games we are being faced with just now [ albeit wouldn't have it any other way ] My son's mate and his father went down to a Bolton game o'er Xmas and paid £20 for the pair of them to get in. We went to Love Street on Sat and were £30 for us, and yesterday were £29 at Pittodrie. Enough said
  5. BTR, I read Barca a couple of years ago on holiday and thoroughly enjoyed it. Having said that can understand why you find it a bit heavy in parts but felt it was necessary to present the full importance of the part the club plays in the history of the region and its people
  6. In fairness to them though Drew, Falkirk are probably long overdue something from us. Been a few games of late where Falkirk have put a lot into the games, and rather harshly ended up with nothing
  7. Well as I've said elsewhere, I'd take a win in the cup and a draw in the league, but if it had tobe a win/lose scenario, then I'd take a cup win, and a league defeat. The cup is obviously a one off, but the loss of three league points whilst disappointing can be recovered from.
  8. Think thats extremely optimistic Drew. Cannae see it happening to be honest. Reckon I'd be happy with a draw in league game and a cup victory
  9. Tis a tough one this Should we cut off our noses to spite our faces The abuse i heard, sitting in Section X of SS yesterday towards Barry Nich by one individual was pathetic because he hasn't signed his offer. Interesting to note the individual concerned didn't hang around for the second half. Said it before, and I'll say it again JC is the key ot all of this, show some commitment yourself Calderwood instead of slating the out of contract players and I think you'll see a different picture emerge............ with the exception of Clark, who apparently allegedly has to leave Aberdeen
  10. Cannae disagree, but it was marginally better than Love Street. Just got home about half an hour ago, and todays positives for me: 1. Three points 2. Another voucher for Bayern game 3. At last starting to thaw oot as on my third Jack Daniels Hard pushed to think of much else to be honest.
  11. Oh indeed I have, and my post was tinged just as much with sarcasm as yours was mate
  12. ok asked for that
  13. Come on then, someone remind me who this pair were again please ?
  14. I'm convinced that it ain't going to be difficult to get a ticket for the away leg. Just dinnae sense that there is anything like the numbers likely to go that did to Madrid. AFC have got time on their sides here, and could make it really easy, by asking for a non refundable deposit of say twenty notes for away tickets from supporters, thereby knowing exactly how many tickets we'll need in advance from Bayern. Is that far too straight forward and simple for us ?
  15. On a more serious point, I personally reckon its going to be easier for me to get a ticket for the away leg of this tie than it is for the home one
  16. Ah, welcome to the board mate
  17. Three points yes, but performance was woeful. Played our get out of jail card today to escape with all three points. St Mirren huffed and puffed but their finishing was woeful Pass marks to Clangers and Miller, but very few others
  18. Just finished "Winter in Madrid" by CJ Sansom. Nae my usual type of read but thoroughly enjoyed it Brought a smile to my face all the references to Puerta del Sol about to start on "Book of Fate" by Brad Mizer which probably is more my sort of book
  19. Think its starting to look likely that the only way any of them sign new deals is if they get a wake up call in Jan and no one rates them as highly as they do themselves and no offers come in for them.
  20. This is the same team that printed an article in their "official" match day programme refering to ALL Aberdeen supporters as "scum" Live by the sword, then you die by the sword. Fuck em
  21. Certainly read that on more than occassion, hence my conclusion Bobby
  22. He could of course set an example and accept a new contract himself, rather than stalling until the four contract rebels confirm they're offski, and clear the way for him to leave as well, citing his reason as the club failed ot match his ambitions. Dinnae ken aboot abody else, but I think this is clearly going to all end in tears, and is leaving a bad taste in the mouth
