  1. What a great experience going to Egypt has been then ....... Two defeats, two players suspended for opening league game, two players in a car crash, manager admitting it was a waste of time, maybe we should have stayed at home and played someone like Ajax
  2. http://www.afc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/News/clubNewsDetail/0,,10284~1077128,00.html Fecking hell four red cards
  3. Pre-season freindlies and Pre-seaon tournaments are apparantly classed differently regarding suspensions. So as this is a pre-season tournament, Clark will miss the United game. Copied from another site, so can't guarantee accuracy of this statement, but seems to be at the back of my mind that this happened to Rooney a couple of years ago
  4. suspended? How many cards has he received in the competition so far?? 2 - one in each match. 2-1 Aberdeen now, with both teams down to 10 men. And Clark suspended for the league opener I believe Not been the most successful of pre season tours tbh.
  5. I also have a horrible felling seeing JC's pre season line ups and reading about how fit Special Brew is that we're going to start the new campaign with a 40 yr old as our first pick striker.
  6. I take your point Drewsome and I'm with you on it, but I guess the point I'm making is that AFC don't demonstrate inituative like this. Still can't believe that as a club we see playing Highland League clubs and lower Scottish League Clubs as a better pre season option than playing the likes of Ajax or Barca. On that point, what exactly are the club doing to generate interest in the supporters pre season..... not exactly inundated with glamerous games at Pittodrie are we
  7. H'min this is Aberdeen we're speaking about..... we don't do things like that, unless of course you know someone out there prepared to underwrite the costs and pay us shit loads of cash for coming out there
  8. reading that i'd suggest that JC is stil spinning the tombola to try and stumble upon a team and formation.
  9. FFS a U Turn across five lanes of oncoming traffic Lucky nae injuries there
  10. take it the Lee Richardson refered to is our very own Rico fecking great midfielder in his time at Pittodrie
  11. Full odds from William Hills 7/2 McPherson - St Mirren 9/2 " insert name" - Hearts 5/1 Christie - ICT 5/1 Collins - Hibs 10/1 Jeffries - Killie & Irons - Gretna 12/1 McGhee - Motherwell 16/1 Levein - D. Utd 20/1 Hughes - Falkirk, Strachan - Celtic, Smith - Huns 25/1 Calderwood - AFC.
  12. But why would they need one of those?! I thought they'd signed Malkowski....... Guess I rest my case then
  13. Thought exactly the same myself about Gus McPherson as I thought that the St Midden board and supporters were pretty happy with what he has done there. Collins from memory is at something like 10/1
  14. See Gretna are desperately seeking a new keeper.
  15. Read the odds in the papers this morning for the first managerial change in the SPL this season. Gus McPherson favourite @ 7/2 ahead of the new " permanent" Hearts manager Our own JC rank outsider @ 25/1 apparently.
  16. Currently 1-0 down
  17. Arab Contractors 0 Aberdeen 0 Half time Aberdeen are playing Arab Contractors this evening in their first group match of the inaugural Al Ettehad Football tournament. RedWeb will try and bring you score updates from the match, but much depends on the communications from Egypt. A match report on the game will appear later. The match kicked off at 19:30 UK time. The starting line up for tonight is: Soutar, Hart, McNamara, Mair, Nicholson, Severin, J. Smith, Foster, Clark, Lovell, Mackie. Subs: Kelly, Miller, Diamond, de Visscher, Maguire.
  18. Okey dokey mate. didn't know it was in the EE last night.
  19. Nae matter what you think about Dick as footballer, he certainly hasn't had his problems to seek on the fitness front over the past couple of years.
  20. Nae defending the fat postie, but in fairness to him he is just regurgitating the piss reported in most of todays rags
  21. Where is this quote taken from............ just curious becvause if it was possible to be taken out of context to put a positive spin upon it, I'm sure AFC would be doing so
  22. I can think of £6m reasons why this won't happen. Apparently this is the Bolton are looking for.
  23. Agree with what Bobby said above. This would be extremely disappointing if indeed true, and certainly takes the edge of the good end to last season. If the club are desperate to sell Cadger, then for fuck sake surely they should be trying ot sitr up a bidding war, instead of just taking the first offer that actually comes their way.
  24. Pretty sure we signed Mason from Gronigen [ sp ? ] and paid £200k for him. Then again maybe the heat down here is playing havoc wie the grey cells. Christ what I'd give for a Paul Mason in mid field these days though.
