Indeed I have mate.
There was another book released earlier this year also featuring McCormack from The Quaker.
It is called The Heretic and given the fact you like this author, I guarantee you'll like it.
Might go back and read the Laidlaw books again as well.
I have them on my kindle so could rattle through them on holiday later in the summer.
Pretty happy with thst one to be honest going by the reaction of Wycombe fans to his departure.
JG building from back to front.
Don't wish to get greedy but could fo with a couple of forwards soon.
Far too sensible approach Panda and not sure I totally agree with all of what you say.
Celtic were allegedly prepared to recoup their outlay i.e. £500k
If Scales wants to play football then it was obvious he was going to have to leave Celtic.
If he was the one that was going to excite the fans would we not have stretched to £5k per week.
On that basis no one loses out financially
If this is the one that JG thinks will excite the fans then is surely way off the mark in his thinking.
Nothing against the boy Scales in any of what I say.
On the subject of William McIlvanney I have just finished reading the new Laidlaw book.
Interesting as in it goes back to the start and is his first case. Also McIlvanney passed away whilst in the middle of writing it, so Ian Rankin actually finished it.
Very decent read in keeping with the other three books in the series.
Definitely recommended

That'll set off his old man, hun uncle, the old relic Bill 30% McMurdo and all, about big bad Aberdeen blocking poor Lewis's opportunity for his big move
